How to stop specific query attached with other query in same process using With method
Would it be possible to stop one query out of two queries attached to single process...because i see it is returning one IDisposable inteface...if i call dispose() method...two queries are stopped/killed...
So how to stop specific query which is combined with other queries in a same process at runtime i.e., attach or detach kind of thing?
Thanks in advance
SatishYes, the overloading of the term "Process" can be confusing. In SI, depending on your edition of StreamInsight, a process can run on one or more threads from a pool of threads and are scheduled together. Don't think of a process necessarily as a single
thread or multiple processes as a method of multi-threading.
As for a limit on the number of queries, there isn't a hard limit that I'm aware of. However, there will be a practical limit that will vary based on the complexity of the query, the event rate and your hardware (# of cores). If you are using Standard Edition,
this limit is much smaller as you only have a single scheduler thread. With Premium Edition, you have a scheduler thread for each core on the machine so you can get higher throughput and lower latency. But if you have, say, 4 cores on the machine (don't count
hyperthreaded cores, just real cores), 100 queries and a target throughput of 100K events/second, you'll likely have some problems. At 1K events/sec, you'd likely be fine though. With 32 cores and Premium Edition, you'd probably be OK with 100K events/sec.
So ... like I said, it depends.

Hi All,
i have used CMS in SQL 2008 R2. i have added couple of servers in its group. i have executed a query & i need to send the query output in the form of email.
basically query is checking the rows count from couple of user tables in servers.
issue here is how to copy the data that is used by CMS? i need to work on automate the rows count in difft user table in db servers
could you please suggest how can i achieve this?Copy to what?
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM sys.objects
Running the above statement returns two columns (server name and count)
All the servers SS2005 and onwards , then use
EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail
@profile_name = 'name',
@recipients = '[email protected]',
@query = 'SELECT COUNT(*) FROM sys.objects',
@subject = 'Count rows'

How to find LOV Query in Oracle Web Form
Hi All,
I am currently use oracle ebs R12.1.2 and i just want to know the query which is attached in lov for Oracle web pages kindly help.
RegardsHi,
There is a bug in OAF for this one, upon clicking on About this page on the newly opened LOV page it still shows the Parent Page Details.
Workaround:
1. After the LOV window opens, click on about this page [This will still show the parent page properties]
2. Now click on backspace. [You should be back to the same LOV Page]
3. Now click on About this page, again, - This should show you the correct details.
Hope that helps!!!

How to get the query values from the url in a servlet and pass them to jsp
ok..this is the situation...
all applications are routed through a login page...
so if we have a url like www.abc.com/appA/login?param1=A¶m2=B , the query string must be passed onto a servlet(which is invoked before the login page is displayed)..the servlet must process the query string and then should pass all those values(as hidden values) to the login jsp..then user enters username and pswd, then there should be another servlet which takes all the hidden values of jsp and also username and pswd, authenticates the user and sends the control back to that particular application along with the hidden values...
so i need help on how to parse the query string from the original url in the servlet, pass it out to jsp, and then pass it back to the servlet and back to the original application...damnn...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanksok..this is the situation...Sounds like you have a bad design on your hands.
You're going to send passwords in a GET request as clear text? Nice security there.
Why not start with basic security and work your way up?

How to improve the query performance in to report level and designer level
How to improve the query performance in to report level and designer level......?
Plz let me know the detail view......first its all based on the design of the database, universe and the report.
at the universe Level, you have to check your Contexts very well to get the optimal performance of the universe and also your joins, keep your joins with key fields, will give you the best performance.
at the report level, try to make the reports dynamic as much as you can, (Parameters) and so on.
and when you create a paremeter try to get it match with the key fields in the database.
good luck

Tuning is NOT about reducing the cost of i/o.
i/o is only one of many contributors to cost and only one of many contributors to waits.
Any time you would like to explore this further run this code:
SELECT 1 FROM dual

And when I say "extreme" I mean "EXTREME!"
You've been warned.I think you just need a faster server.

Edited by: Sonal on Jan 3, 2011 5:30 AMHi,
as Daan said, set the variable in Advanced tab but not on loglevel..
because, our problem is to bypass the bi-server cache.
Do this:
1. Go to Advanced tab.
2. In Prefix field(scroll down to see this field) , enter this:
SET DISABLE_CACHE_HIT = 1;
Note: Make sure that you're ended up above statement with semicolon and do not click on Set SQL option...
3. Save report, then run it..
4. After you see the query, i recommend you to take take out that prefix tag then save it again..
