How to fade in and fade out buttons ???

Hi guys I am building a website and I need help to fade in/ fade out buttons. Here is an example :
My main goal is that when I roll over the services button, I want the submenu (corporate and weddings) to fade in. Then when I roll over the portfolio button, I want the first submenu (corporate and weddings) to fade out and the second submenu ( clients, corporate, weddings, etc..) to fade in and to stay like this. Finally when I roll over testimonials, the second submenu fades out. And so on for the rest of the buttons.
FYI, i know how to animate the buttons to fade in/out but i dont know how to make them fade out when i roll over the other buttons.. I know this can be done with action script but I have no clue how...

Some things you just have to take the time to unravel and learn. It's not difficult/complex, you just have to avoid letting the code overwhelm you by its appearance... instead of looking at pages, look at one page at a time, line by line... take your time and follow a tutorial.
People make tutorials to help those that need to learn, so there's no reason for anyone here to reinvent those wheels for every person that comes along. If you are looking for someone who'll hand you your solved design, sorry, I'm not that guy.

How to fade out button as menu fades?

I've searched the forums and manual to no avail.
I created a menu that fades to black before jumping to the loop point. Is it possible to fade out the highlighted button as my menu fades to black and jumps to the loop point? Otherwise, the button remains highlighted on screen as the menu fades to black.
I understand how to fade in a button by using Final Cut or Motion and an overlay file, but this of course wouldn't work when fading out a button since the button remains on screen while the video "button" fades out.

If you add a transition from the menu to the track, such as a dissolve, it should not carry over the highlights - not sure if the button itself is on the highlights. But lets say you have an arrow next to the text that highlights that should not be seen in the transition portion, but it will be abrupt. Also if there is motion after the loop point you will not know when the button is pressed, if it is effectively a still then the fades are smoother.

If you right click on any of the JFreeChart standard examples you will see buttons that allow you to zoom in and zoom out. Just follow the code that the examples use. This feature can be enabled/disabled using the parameters in the chart construction. Check the Javadoc.

The "set-in" and "set-out" buttons not responsive

The "set-in" and "set-out" buttons are unresponsive when I click on them while trying to trim a clip. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I already uninstalled and reinstalled the program and the issue didn't change.

Interesting that you might be experiencing the same Preview Window problem with 12 and 11.
First, are you double clicking the file's thumbnail in Project Assets instead of the file on the Timeline to open the Preview Window?
You mention that you can do Set In and Set Out points manually. Have you tried playing the Timeline and using the shortcuts, I for Set In and O for Set Out? Or are the shortcuts non functional as are the Set In and Set Out tabs of the Preview Window?
Have you gone through the classical deletion of the settings file (Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs) which is frequently effective in these cases of unexpected glitches. To do that

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Make sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.

How to fade out text on top of video footage?

Not quite sure how to sum up my question in Subject line, but here's what I'm trying to achieve: I've placed a text (Lower 3rd) on the V1 track, and a video clip on the V2 track. The Composite of the text is 'Normal', the video clip is 'Travel Matt - Alpha'. So the video appears inside the font, which is what I wanted.
But now I'd like to fade out the font, while just leaving the video play. When I add a Fade In Fade Out effect to the text, though, the video fades out as well, until the effect is over. Do I make sense?
Is there a way to just fade out the font (or Dissolve or Slide) without touching the video?

The video should be on V1 and the text on V2.
Click the zig zag button at the bottom left of the timeline and you will see an opacity line going across your clips just below the top of them.
Put a keyframe on the opacity line of the text clip around a couple of seconds before the end.
Put another keyframe at the end of the text's opacity line and drag it to the bottom of the clip.
This will cause just the text to fade out.
You can do the reverse at the beginning to make it fade in if you wish.
PS. To create keyframes click P and your cursor will become the Pen (Keyframe) tool.

How to fade out lines of scrolling Text as they reach top of screen

What I require is scrolling text (full screen width) & the ability to make the lines of text fadeout as they reach the top of the screen. Making the scrolling text fade out as it reaches the top of the screen is easy with Final Cut Express & I think makes for a more polished presentation instead of the text scrolling off the top of the screen.
I have tried using “feather” in the Mask effect in Final Cut Pro x but I cannot make the top line of full screen scrolling text fade. Is there any way to achieve this effect in Final Cut Pro x ?

As you can see Karsten Schlüter replied to an earlier request from me regarding the same subject & yes it is possible to obtain the fade effect using “feather” in the Mask effect. However I’m surprised that there is not an easier way to fade out the top line of scrolling text. I was hoping someone would have a quicker way of achieving the effect – It’s so quick with Final Cut Express. Either my iMac is not up to running Final Cut Pro x (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM) or the Final Cut Pro X Trial version is different to the full version (Apple says both versions are the same) I find it hard to believe that an effect that is so easy in Final Cut Express is so difficult to achieve in the supposedly all singing & dancing Final Cut Pro x.

On the HOME screen of EBP click Approval link ---> Under Appoval tab under Action Column click the magnifying glass icon ---> a table is displayed with Approve and Reject as two columns which contain radio buttons at item level .
How can we hide these two columns and the radio buttons?

Hello there! Here is a step by step to achieve an image fading to transparency:
Below is the image I wanted to fade to transparency.
In the layers panel, press the mask icon at the bottom, as shown below.
You can see that in the Layers panel, a mask has now attached to my image.
In the tool bar, make sure you have the black selected, as shown below.
Then go and select the paintbrush in the tool bar.
With the paintbrush, paint the black on the mask. This will take away the image where you paint, revealing transparency below.
To give a more even transition between the image and the transparency, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur
The gaussian blur dialog will appear. Adjust accordingly.
Below is my finished image.

First of all, hats off to apple for iMovie 08'...I love it!
I was just wondering...how do I put music in the background that way i can completly block out the noise in my actual video footage?
Like say if I was making a MUSIC VIDEO...and all I need was the MUSIC that I am going to add to the project...how would I specifically take out the sound from my video then, that way you dont hear the people talking or anything...you just hear the good quality sound music??

Once you have the music track layered in, select it and then push the Adjust Audio button within the middle toolbar (looks like a loudspeaker). You then check the box titled "Reduce Volume of Other Tracks". That should do it.

Satellite A660 - How to turn on and of multimedia buttons light?

Does anyone know how to turn the lights of the multimedia functions buttons on and off, mine are off on the Sat A660 and I just cannot work out what to do to get them to come on. If it helps, previously when I disabled my touch pad a little animation came up on screen, this has now stopped.
Any ideas welcome!

Regrettably this did not work either, I do not appear to have an illumination tab. I do however have a button setup icon and when I go into that it has an option for illumination but it is asking me to set a path or something up and I do not know what I am doing. I put something random in there just to see what happened and as you can probably imagine, nothing did.

In Safari, (the web browser), there are specific arrows to go back and forward through website pages.
In other Apps, it will depend on how the App is built.
As to Yahoo Mai it depends on where you are viewing the email. If you are using the Mail App, then you don't log out. The Mail accounts in the Mail App are always there.
If you are using the Yahoo App, You can Tap on the folder at the top, then on your account/name, and then on Sign Out.
