How to fetch values at runtime in field exit function module

Hi all,
I am creating a field exit for delivery date in Purchase requisition.
For that I need to capture Delivery Date and Sale Order entered in purchase requisition and pass this to Function module and validate this data.
I am using import and export parameters but it is giving runtime error.
please tell me how to solve it.

Yes, thats the problem.
Your include is named ZFLDEXIT_INCL and in the first line of that include you probbaly wrote
include ZFLDEXIT_INCL.
Delete that, includes don't need a reserved word like programs and reports

am new to BI. i would like to know on how to populate values for a new field in the target cube with start rotuine.In my case, i have a source infoprovider, which has 3 fields and a target infoprovider, which has 5 fields. i need to populate the new 2 fields in start routine. i dont want to populate using Field routine and am using 3.5 version. please assist with code on how to solve this issue.

Debug the standard code and see where the other fields are getting update. you can use the similar approach and area to code for the new field.

Hi,
Create one Search Help in the SE11 for the particular Field that u want to display. In the Screen(Transaction SE51),For that Text Box in the Attributes,in Dict Tab ->Search Help Field give that Search Help Name.
For Eg,
If u want Purchase Order Numbers in that F4 Help.Create one Search Help by giving Table Name as EKKO & Search Help Parameter as EBELN with Lpos & Rpos as 0 & 1.Save & Activate it.
Give this Search Help Name in Dict Tab ->Search Help Field of that Screen Attributes.

I have created field exit on sold to party field while creating sales order. But inside of that field exit
i need to put one query on basis of sold to party and sales organization and division. But that field exit function having only one import parameter that is sold to party but from where i can fetch sales organization and division . How can i refer global program values. Can i use assign statememnt for that. Please help me.

Passing values to an InternalTable in a Function Module from WebDynpro

Hi,
I have created a model from a function module that has a internal table.I have assigned the value as a String to the datamodel context element of the internal table as a Line in the node that represents the input for the funtion module.The internal table accepts a value as an input.When i call the execute method on the input node i am not able to pass the value from the Webdynpro to the function module.I have also checked the assignment of the value as a String to the datamodel context element of the internal table as a Line in the node that represents the input for the funtion module and the value was assigned.
If you can provide me any info on how to pass the internal table from Webdynpro to the function module will be very helpful ..???

what u can pass to a function module is the parameter which are in import and tables of RFC .so u have to declare a variable as a type of your internal table which may be type of structure or table. then in your RFC u have to copy that into a variable of function module and go for ur logic ...

Field Exits Function

Hai, can we use the field exits function to copy from other field value?
for example, when we entering the date inside the screen 01/01/2012, then we exit the fields, this value will direct copy to other field? that mean both for the field is the same value. can it be done inside the SAP?
My consultant said this cannot be done. hope some of the expert at here can give me a solution.

What is the transaction code you are trying for? Generally, field exits are not recommended due to performance issues. However, it is possible to copy a value from one field to another field using BADIs. Kindly check if there are any BADIs available or not for your transaction code.

I am using visual studio .net application having inbuilt crystal report feature. Now, what I want to do is, i have create 5 groups in crystal report, but dynamically want to change the order of those reports as per user's selection.
How to do that?
Also, how to fetch database item on runtime which is not selected through data expert as its relation is depends on situation. Say if one field's value is 5 than i want to get name of customer, but if same field's value is 6 than i want to get name of suppliers. In database both supplier and customers tables are different however they are connected with base table.
I'm bit new in crystal report. Please help me out if it is possible.

You don't actually change the order of the groups. You group on a formula and change contents of the formula based on the parameter.

Do all the parameters p_f2_1 ... p_f2_6 contain values for the same field f2? And do you need all the entries from the table T which contain f2 = any of the entered value? If yes, Then you can try the following where condition -
select f1 f2 f3 f4 from T into table it_T
where f2 = p_f2_1 OR
             f2 = p_f2_2 OR
             f2 = p_f2_3 OR
             f2 = p_f2_4 OR
             f2 = p_f2_5 OR
             f2 = p_f2_6.
P.S: If any of the above parameters are optional as per your requirement it will be better to build a dynamic query and use it in the where condition.

How to pass values at runtime in JDBC - XI - File scenario

In my scenario, data is coming from R/3 and i need to filter records from oracle database based on this data. There are 4 database tables that need to be queried using 2 select statements. The resultset after the execution of query will be mapped to the target flat file structure.
here are my queries:
1) Can I avoid BPM as data needs to be collected from the two database calls which involves two sender JDBC adapter instances with only one target structure?
2) Can I use stored procedure in this scenario? If yes, than how to pass values to stored procedure at runtime via sender JDBC adapter.

Read the below line that is mentioned in the SAP help documentation fro Sender JDBC adapter:-
Specify an SQL EXECUTE statement to execute a stored procedure, which contains exactly one SELECT statement.
I dont think it can be achieved...but there must be some workaround for this. You can probably use a join statement.
Read this, again from the documentation:-
The expression must correspond to the SQL variant supported by the relevant JDBC driver. It can also contain table JOINs.
