How to filer the data.

Hi All,
I am new to Warehouse Builder. I am facing a problem in loading the data from flat file to Table.
I am using a filter for this, but the thing it is not working.
Example, I am getting the flat file with employee information with employee_id, fname, lname, date_of_join, birth_date, deptno.
My requirement is not to load the data which date_of_join < '10/10/1990'.
How can I do this in the warehouse builder.

The problem I am facing is that, I could not stop loading values of the columns withe >,<, >= and <= .How can I proceed this kind of loading.
Ex: employee > 1001, employee < 2001 date_id <'10/10/1999'.
How to use the filter on the above mentioned values. I did used to the filter to do the job, but it did not went through. I received the error, which tells that, SQL *Loader did not support the >, < , <=, >= operators and the ones which supports are != and = operators.

First let me say that your code really looks pretty good. The data handling could be made more efficient by calculating the number of datapoints that are going to be in the completed dataset and preallocating the entire array -- but depending upon your answer to my questions, the logic in the lower shift register may be going away - so we won't worry about that right now.
The thing I need to know before addressing the data storage question is: Each time you call "Collect and Display Data.vi", how many element are in the array? Are you reading single data points, or a group of data? (BTW: if the answer to that question is obvious based on the way the other VIs are setup, I don't have the drivers so I can't tell what the setup values are.) Second, how fast does the loop iterate? Are we talking msec per loop?, seconds? fortnights?
The issues here are two-fold: how much data? and how fast is it coming? The answer to these will tell you how to save the data.

hey guys
i installed the sqlite and sqlite-net as requested in other answers i found, changed to x86, and add the .db3 file in my project.
but the problem is how to retrive the data that already in the file( i am not creating any table or data in the app, just read)
all the answer i found is to create a table first and then read the table, i tried to skip the step of creating a table, and read from the table directly, but failed with " no such table", by the way, i set the property of the .db3 file as "content",
"copy if newer"
can anyone please help? i appreciate that !

From your description, you want to read data from available sqlite file. When you add the sqlite file into your project, you need to change the sqlite file build action to content. After deploying to device, the sqlite file is located in installation folder,
you need to copy that file into storage folder before reading data. Please try the following code snippets.

How to store the data of a file into an ArrayList?

Hi! everyone.
I want to know
if I have a File, and the data in the file are type int, type String...
And I have a ArrayList which is of type Question
How do I store the data of that file into the ArrayList
I tried to use the while loop(use the hasNextLine() to read the data line by line)
But I cannot add data which are not of type Question to the ArrayList.
Can you tell me what I should do, please?
I also wonder that
The data of the file are of many types, but when I try to read it with the nextLine(), the data all turn out to be of type String. Why?

No, a line in the file is just part of a question
The format of the file is like this:
*<question type code>                    :     String*

And here is an example

Instead of copy values into forms you can save them in your temporary table.

Hello Sharat,
You have two options of saving data to excel sheet:
Step 1:
Goto RSA3, change the "Data Records / Calls" to 1000 and then execute. This way instead of 10 different packets you will get one packet.
Step2:
Click on the list button, open the packet by double clicking it. You will see all the data on your screen.
Step3:
Goto System -> List -> Save - > Local File -> Spreadsheet and give some name for your xls file.

The FM 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' makes it possible to load a worksheet into an internal table in ABAP.
However, if you want to get the data from several worksheets, I think you are stuck with OLE access to your Excel Workbook...
You can find a solution for 2 worksheets in this post :

I think you can easily modify it to handle any number of worksheets.

Let the servlet ask your business tier to provide the data, then stuff it into beans, and pack those into the Session instance. Then forward the request to the JSP, let the JSP get those beans and display them.

You can't just display data from a text file in a JTable. You have you understand the structure of the data so that you can parse the data and create a table model that can access the data in a row/column format. Here is an example of a simple program that does this:
