How to find backup job
In Oracle 11g2, how can I find jbackup obs configured through OEM. I want to find out the job steps, commands, and status (failed or succeeded). These are not seen in V$RMAN_BACKUP_JOB_DETAILS and V$RMAN_BACKUP_SUBJOB_DETAILS. There are field COMMAND_ID in these view, but how to join these to find the actual commands.
Thanks

How to find the job and job status from RSPCM
hi all,
suppose we got an error and in rspcm the process was failed.i want to know the status of that particular job.and if any i want to stop that job in SM37.
plz tell me how to find the job and job ststus from RSPCM...and how to stop that job in SM37
thanks,
jackHi Jack,
RSPCM: T.Code
This transaction is used to monitor the process chains
First:
here you need to add the process chains into the sheet
Second:
Then you can monitor the process chains in this transaction code
Like you can see the : status ,proces chain ,Last run date ,Last run time ,Log ID
Status : Green when sucessful,Yellow when running & Red when you get errors
Now when yoy click on any of the process chain in RSPCM you will go to the LOG VIEW as you see in RSPC transaction
SM37:T.code
This transaction is used for Job Overview
you can see many options in SM37
like Released,active,cancelled,finished,etc
Just select the ACTIVE jobs and also pass STAR in JOB ID & USER ID
here you can only see the active jobs
Goto Step in toolbar
select the program displayed
then chose option GOTO - Variant in main menu bar
in the variant you can see the job belong to which Process chain
if you want to cancel this job come back to SM37 Display screen
Select the Job and select the JOB DETAILS tab in Tool Bar
Collect the WIP ( Work Permit ID)
Go to SM50 T.code and find the WIP
in Main Menu Bar you find the option Cancel with Core choose this it will cancel the Job

How to find triggering job for Process chain
Hi,
I have a process chain and its triggering by some other system using an event.
I want to know how to find which ystem is triggering this job means process chain and on what basis it is starting?
I have an event for this process chain and also FM : BP_EVENT_RAISE. So how to find the with those details?
Thanks,
PhaniHI,
some other system means either dev, qas, prd?
for every process in a process chain there is a chain id which is same as the name of your chain,
for every chain id there exist some log ids , this both information you can find from the standard table RSPCLOGCHAIN
From this log id you can find the status of the process from table RSPCPROCESSLOG.
here u will find the status of your process whether is has been completed successfully or ended with errors.
Thanks,
Phani. -
How to find total jobs running under OEM.??
Hi,
Can anyone tell me, in OEM, how can we find out total jobs which are running or on-ice or scheduled etc.?? Is there any way to trace it out total jobs under OEM..??
Thanks in advance..
-Mahesh.HI,
Thanks for your reply, but actually in our project Human Intervention is nowhere considered. Administrator should get all info through mail, once a job is scheduled with specific requirements it will send mails about the job status (failure, success etc).
So this should be done using OEM provided tables or any SQL queries (I think so..) I have got following link, where it has FLAG EVENTS like "job_started, job_succeeded, job_failed" etc through which it may be possible to schedule a job using above flags.
http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_scheduler.html
But I am not getting how to use them as I am not a PL/SQL or shell script programmer.. :( Any idea how to use them..??

How to find which job fill ztable
hallow
i have table in database and i thihnk that job that run in night is fill it with data
how ifind which job do that>
Regards<b>First</b> find the programs that may insert into table :
- Go though where-used on the table in SE11 dictionary or in SE86 repository.
- Copy the list of program to clipboard
- go to SE38 and search for 'INSERT ZTABLE' or 'INSERT INTO ZTABLE' in those programs (utilities, find in source code)
(<u>NB</u>: If you have ressources (cpu) use RSRSCAN1 to find these strings without any selection on program names.)
- Note the programs thats insert into ztable
<b>Second</b> search if they run by night
- Go to SM37 and check if one of those is called by night in a job-step. (SM37 has a selection on program name)
- Maybe those program are called/submitted from inside another program, so you may need to go through another where-used of the programs;

How to stop backup job on enterprise manager
Hi
I have a rman job on enterprise manager which takes backup of all the datafiles everyday.
How can I temporaraly stop the job and resume later? The job hasnt started yet.
Database is oracle 10g. operating system is unix
regardsIf you stop it, it will not run again and you won't be able to reschedule it. Killing sounds like it will solve your problem.
To kill:
Once you click on the "Running" link next to the job_name, you should see these two links (the second one may take a few seconds to show up):
Step: Prebackup
Step: Backup
Click on the "Step: Backup" hyperlink. There will be a "Kill Step" button at the top right corner.
If you don't see it, you can also connect to the database itself and kill the RMAN SIDs. This should show the job's status as "Problems". You can then edit the "Scheduled" job that should have been created.
As for the run tomorrow, make sure you delete the O/S files created by the killed job if they are still there and run "crosscheck backup" (from RMAN or Grid/Manage Backup). This will make sure RMAN doesn't skip any datafiles at the next run. -
How to find the job is in which server
HI ,
In Process chains , are assighned to server want to know the chain is in which server , please let me know
Thanks
Ahmed PashaHi
follow the below steps
goto SM37 --> find out your job
double click on job ---> click on job details(you will find this option in top)
In the next screen --> you will get application server name and Work process ID
This two are required if you want to cancel any running job.
Note: You will find the server name and WPID only for active jobs(which are runnig at present)
In Your case if you don't know the server name which you have, just select "Home(this is the first option)" system will run the job based on server availability.
If you want to know all the servers in your system, goto SM50

How to find the Job Name in the debugging from the SM37
Hi All,
Here my problem is i want to update the Actual UOM into MM02 and if new material is coming i need to create the material and UOM in MM01.
for this requirement i am using RMDATIND standard Direct Input program and I am using Background JOB Schduling by giving name MRP_MATERIAL_MASTER_DATA_LOAD
I am getting the data into my internal table and i am successfully getting the message "JOB started" once i execute the program.
then i gone into SM37 there i found my job is completed.
but when i try to find the data has updated in MM02 or MM01, here i could not found the updated data.
Can any one can help me in this.
Thanks & Regards,
Venkat Nhi,
When ever you schedule any job, it gives the name of the job in the screen.
Now after going to SM37 filter the screen for the time period you did the job and put the user id as your user id, so that it show only your jobs which started from the given time interval

Omkar. -
