How to find mouse coordinates when mouse pointer is outside of app screen?

Hello folks,
Does anyone know, how in a Swing/AWT app to find out the screen coordinates
of the mouse pointer when the mouse pointer is outside of the app screen?
Would appreciate your comments.

You can find the port number by your instance number as follows:
There is a general format for the port number like you have mentioned.
For 00 instance the port number is 50000.
The general format for the port number goes like this:
5<instance_no>00
If your instance number is 01 then the port number would be 50100.
It depends on the installation type which you perform.
You can also change the instance number during the installation but normally you dont do this.
If you have many components or units installed on your system you may have more than one instance in that case it may go like this 00, 01, 02....accordingly port number will be 50000, 50100, 50200...resp.

Here's a better question. Why in the world did you put that statement in the loop in the first place, unless the variable 'sql' is modified within?

my problem is.when i want to record every coordinates of the mouse while it moves..but using the printstream,it only records the end point of the mouse and not while the mouse moves/dragged.I'm developing a sketch pad program. the program needs to capture the coordinates and saved it into a file.i tried using it but keeps on saving the last point but not all

How to determine the coordinates of the point?

I've achieved assignment 3 for CS193p course of Stanford, Fall 2011. The assignment basically asks to make a graph of points of an equation of something like X + 2, X is the X axis, and X + 2 (which is the result of the equation) is the Y axis.
The problem is that it gives an already made class which draws axes, hashmarks and so. The lecturer describes how it works in a commented paragraph in the .h file of the drawer, I still can't understand though how can I count the number of points between the origin and the hashmark, then convert it to pixels and iterate over it. The hard part of it is getting the hashmark position, or in other words, knowing where to put X and where to put Y according to the current scale.
A subtask is to make a zoom in and zoom out buttons, and I've already done that by the way.

I needed to know if there is a way to find the date when an a developer was registered in our SAP system.
I can see in DEVACCESS table (in SE16) all users registered along with their developer key but i also need to see when those entries were made. Can you please help in this.

Thanks for the replies but my issue is that I got only for some users from SCCR in service maketplace. It seems that that other users for which (i can see entries in table DEVACCESS in my system) were created with somne other s-user which we dont know at thsi time so finding from service marketplace is not working!
I needed to know iff there is some way i could get this information (when entries went in table or when the users registered) from SAP itself.... or may be from oracle sql level.

Please let me know, if there is any option or way to find the date when the users has been created in Hyperion.

If not in Hyperion, could you please let me know if it gets stored in the repository. If yes, please let me know the table name in Oracle.

I don't know of a way of getting this information from Shared Services via the standard web UI. However you can see when a native user was created in openLDAP. If your users are all native then you can use an ldap browser to view the CreateTimestamp.
Port: 58089
User DN:CN=911,ou=People,dc=css,dc=hyperion,dc=com
Password: Your shared services admin user password
You should see each new native user under the ou=People and each CN will have a create timestamp.
I can't help if all you users are external or your using the old Essbase native security.

How to clear text fields when the user navigates back to the screen

Hi,
Does anyone have any idea on how to clear the text input fields and dropdown boxes when the user navigates back to the screen, say for e.g. create screen?
My issue is that i have plenty of fields in the create screen within a form. Is there a way to avoid programaticaly blanking out every field and just do it at the form level using an api to reset to a state before the user entry?

This code allows you to make it more generic, and you would need to tweak it if there are more than TextInput controls, but it should provide some ideas.
As far as using states, you could use SetProperty to set the text to empty, but that might be messier.

How to find the coordinates of a mouse click in a Tree node ?

I have a JTree that have few nodes. The nodes contain an icon and a label (using custom cell renderer) and I want to receive right clicks on the icon and show a popup menu.
The problem is I can only get the right click on the whole tree node, not only the icon.
I tried two approaches:
1. register the mouse listener directly with the icon in the cell renderer. That doesnt work since the events received by the tree node do not propagate to its sub-components.
2. Register the event with the JTree itself and then try to find which part of the tree node was clicked (see if it was within the coordinates of the icon).
But I cant get the node's coordinates or width.
I tried using SwingUtilities.convertPoint or SwingUtilities.ConvertMouseEvent but it just doesnt work with DefaultMutableTreeNode.
Any ideas how to do it ?

How To Make Text Disappear When Mouse is On a Button?

Hello, I'm completely new to Flash and well I need some help. I created a page that has static text in the center.
The page has buttons on side and when I rollover a button text appears, but the problem is that when I rollover a button, the static text in the center is there and I want to hide it as I can't read anything because the texts are overlapped.
How do I make the text in the center disappear/hide when I rollover a button and how do I make it reappear when the the mouse is off the button?
I hope what I am explaining makes sense.

You can assign onRollOver and onRollOut code to the buttons to make the text dispappear, but you'll need to make the text a movieclip with an instance name that you can use to target it to turn it invisible. In the simple example below, the button has an instance name of "btn" and the text movieclip has an instance name of "text_mc"
