Actually in my case the situation is, i have to change in multiple forms.
I mean the same perform needs to be used in all the forms almost around 20 using the current form name.
So that perform should be generic. I mean is there any variable/ method or way to get the current form name so that we can pass that to the subroutine pool through form.

Is there any way to count the rows in a form (block) without navigation to the last record?
I am modifying CUSTOM.pll and have to count the rows before user commits changes.
All records are new in this case. Can anyone halp me? Thanks.

Of course, this will return the number of records that would get fetched to the block (based on the where condition), but not the records with NEW status (i.e new records which are not yet committed).

you didn't explain yourself properly. I too wondered if you were writing a JDev extension which this is a common question that comes up. Use case is everything when it comes to helping people to understand what you are trying to achieve.
If you hold your mouse over your application or project file icon in the application navigator it displays the full path of the current workspace/project.

Hi Sandip,
- view size can be set by setting the 'width' of the RootUIElementContainer. By defalut, it will be 100% only. Also, It is always better to use the % coz it does not distort your view with different screen resolutions.
- while creating the iview, you have the property like 'HeightType'. There you can set the value as FIXED, AUTOMATIC & FULL_PAGE. If you wish, you may leave it as it is.
- All you have the properties like 'Fixed Height' etc to set the size values.

I could not find version in plugin directory.
it's the same one that came prepackaged with Weblogic 9.2. we haven't change it.

It is needed to find out the browser's country and language settings inside of the container. My question is how to find out the settings?

A28. Yes. HTTP/1.1 defines the details of how content negotiation works, including language content.
WWW browsers send an Accept-Language request header specifying which languages are preferred for responses. This technique works fairly well, although some versions of Netscape Navigator send an improperly formatted request parameter. Also, switching language preferences in either Navigator or IE 4 doesn't always "take" without first deleting a language hint.
Few sites do content-negotiation on language, and interestingly enough I do not know of any major portals doing this. One site that does is Sun's documentation library at SunDocs. Debian.org does a very nice job of using Apache content negotiation wih languages and also has some nice help info too on Setting the Default Language.
Apache's Content Negotiation features will select the right page to return, whether HTML or image file. Annoyingly, the match logic is very literal, so a browser request for en-us will not match a server entry of en except as a last resort. Any other exact match will win over en, even if en-us was first preference.
There are 2 ways of doing content negotiation with Apache: type or variant maps and multiviews.

In httpd.conf, disable Options Multiviews if configured and add

If that is the case, on a platform like window 2003 32-bit, one cannot have more than 4GB of shared memory. Windows Server 2003 includes support for a startup switch (entered in the boot.ini file) that allows the allocation of memory and memory address space. Regardless of the amount of physical memory that is installed on the system, the operating system uses a virtual address space of 4 GB. Out of that amount, by default, 2 GB is allocated to user-mode processes (for example, Oracle or TimesTen) and 2 GB is allocated to kernel-mode processes (for example the operating system and others). In a nutshell on systems that have more than 1 GB of RAM, this startup switch can be used to allocate more memory to applications (3 GB) and less memory to the operating system (1 GB). However, adding adding the /3GB switch to the boot.ini file will not increase the amount of physical RAM memory, the 3GB switch just tells the computer to allocate the existing memory space differently.
For a 32-bit TimesTen the limit on memory cannot be more than 2GB (PermSize+TempSize). For example on Linux 32-bit I have 1024MB and 512MB for these two parameters.

How to find out the standard info stucture for a customized IS in LIS

I have to run the statistical set up for the customized info structure S763 for the application plant maintenance in LIS. But i dont know whether it was copied from a standard SAP info structure or it was enhanced from a standard info structure.
I have even checked out all the standard IS for plant maintenance but it is not matching. The closest match is S063 but a few characteristics and a key figure is missing.
Could anybody guide me how to find out the standard info structure?
Any help would be of great help.

No..it didnt solve my problem. MC23 only displays the info structures. I have a customized info structure S763 which was created long time back. Im not sure whether it was copied from a standard info structure or enhanced from a standard info structure.
I have to give the source info structure name to run statistical set up. The closest one which matches with the S763 is S063 but it is missing few characteristics and key figure.
does it means that the IS S063 was enhanced?? Am i right?? If it was enhanced how will i run the statistical setup for the same...

i have just started reading about all these-user exits ,customer exits etc.
i have read somewhere that:call to customer exits are triggered by function modules exits.
the structure of function modules are like this:
EXIT_RFEBBU10_001
MEANS
Keyword EXIT followed by program name fllowed by three digits.
and the call is like this:
call customer function 0001.
From above we can conclude that this customer exit must be used in program RFEBBU10.
GOTO SE38 andenter prog name RFEBBU10.check for above function module.
for the rest i stick to the same method for user exits and BADI that we can findthe corresponding TCODES
using Where used lists.
