How to find Username
I got the lovely "do Not reply" email saying that my emails aren't being sent to my BB, so The funny thing is, is that I remember my password, but I dont remember my user name. So is there a way that I can find that out?.
About the easiest thing for you do to will be to call your carrier and ask them to remove your BIS account, and readd it for you to setup again, from start.

How to find username and password
Hi,
Thanks for any help you guys can give me. I'm trying to setup the e-mail on my pearl and it says I already have a username and passwordm but I don't know what they are and don't remember setting it up. I tried calling sprint, they had me call Blackberry, but for some reason when I try to type the options in the menu says it doesn't take me to the next menu. Anyway, thanks again if someone knows how I can go about getting this taken care of.Hi!! Your carrier should provide you the user name and password...only if the device belongs to you and you've forgot the user name/password. Some sort of ID check will be performed by the carrier. This is the practice which is being followed my carrier...

How to find username and tablespace name indatapump import
I have a datapump export without the logfile .I would like to import it into a db.Before starting import I would like to know the schema and tablespace which it is exported so that I can remap the schema and tablespace to some other.Is there anyway I can do this
You can run your import command but add this:
include=tablespace,user sqlfile=look.sql
The file look.sql will have the create tablespace commands and the create user commands.
Edit look.sql to see what the tablespace and user names are.

How to find out web-inf path from the physical drive?
How to find out web-inf path from the physical drive?
I have some user profiles in web-inf directory.SO I want to know the path from root directory like
d:/program files/allaire/jrun/appname/web-inf/profiles/username like that.
Presently I am able to get the path upto the application directory and from that I am concatinationg web-inf/profiles/username .
But it is giving problems when it is deployed under unix or linux.Because web-inf there it treats as WEB_INF
SO I want to get the path of web-inf directory with out hard coding.
ThankuString path = application.getRealPath("/WEB-INF/profiles/username");
Note sure why you need this, but you don't need the real path to read the file - you can get an InputStream using the relative path. See ServletContext getResource() and getResourceAsStream(). -
How to find the number of ODBC connections to Oracle Database
Hi All,
How to find the number of ODBC connections and all connections to the Database in last week. Are there any views to get this information?
Thanks in advance,
MahiWhat Ed said is true that Oracle doesn't note which type of protocol is connecting to the database, however, you can see which program is accessing the database.
For example: if you already know of a user using ODBC, you can verify as:
select username, osuser, terminal, program from v$session where username = 'SCOTT'
USERNAME OSUSER TERMINAL PROGRAM
SCOTT IUSR_SRV231 SRV231 w3wp.exe
SCOTT IUSR_SRV231 SRV231 w3wp.exe
2 rows selected.Assuming that you can confirm the progam noted in the above (example) is the one using ODBC, then you can change the query such as:
SQL> select username, osuser, terminal, program from v$session where program = 'w3wp.exe';
USERNAME OSUSER TERMINAL PROGRAM
SCOTT IUSR_SRV231 SRV231 w3wp.exe
SCOTT IUSR_SRV231 SRV231 w3wp.exe
2 rows selected.Just for kicks, I checked our listener.log file, but there was no reference of odbc in it either.
Hope this helps... -
How to find which users only have a single and a specific responsibility
Hi,
I have a requirement in my organization that a password restriction have to be implemented. After implementing that, for some users, the password date will have to be nulled out, so that when they login, they will be forced to change their password following that new password rule.
Oracle's "CP SQL*Plus Expire FND_USER Passwords" concurrent program can not be used as that will expire all the users password at the same time.
For this, I have to find all the users which have a certain responsibility (check viewing responsibility) and only that responsibility. First day password date null out will be implemented for them only. For the other users (who have check printing responsibility) the password will be nulled out some other day.
As I am using the following query, I see some of the users have multiple responsibility. How do I find out the users who have only a certain responsibility and nothing else?
select usr.user_name, res.responsibility_name
from apps.fnd_user usr, apps.FND_USER_RESP_GROUPS_DIRECT usrrep, apps.fnd_responsibility_tl res
where usr.user_id=usrrep.user_id
and usrrep.responsibility_id=res.RESPONSIBILITY_ID
and usr.end_date is NULL
group by usr.user_name,res.responsibility_name
Any suggestion, idea will be very much appreciated.Hi,

Oracle's "CP SQL*Plus Expire FND_USER Passwords" concurrent program can not be used as that will expire all the users password at the same time.Use the same update statement in $FND_TOP/sql/AFCPEXPIRE.sql and include/exclude the usernames you want.
For this, I have to find all the users which have a certain responsibility (check viewing responsibility) and only that responsibility. First day password date null out will be implemented for them only. For the other users (who have check printing responsibility) the password will be nulled out some other day.

Or, see old threads for similar topic (you will find many queries which should be helpful).

How to find colums in CLOB variable and get this colums value to update col
Question
How to find colums in CLOB variable and get this colums value to update colum of oracle database table
How my work will go
Step-1 - I am creating XML FIle which is based on code that we discused before-
Its developing xml file with data in <...inputelement> as u can see in my xml but in <..output> Element of xml its just have all column for exampe <itemoutput>
<FLD NM = "ABC"> 0 </FLD>
<FLD NM = "XYZ:> </FLD> --- for varchar2
</itemoutput>
In 1st stage i am just generating <..INPUT> with its colums and real value from database and <..output> elements will go zero value but with colums name.
Note. I create temp table will all COLUMN which u can see in both in <..ITEMINPUT> and <..ITEMOUTPUT>
Step2.. After Generaing my xml i want to convert my xml data into CLOB not in a file. so clob will go to the VENDOR
STEP3.
I will Recieved again xml data in CLOB from the vendo in <.OUTPUT> ELEMents
for example
I send this format
<itemoutput>
<FLD NM = "ABC"> 0 </FLD>
<FLD NM = "XYZ:> </FLD> --- for varchar2
</itemoutput>
And i will receive it
<itemoutput>
<FLD NM = "ABC VALUE"> 2 </FLD>
<FLD NM = "XYZ TYPE:> SUV</FLD> --- for varchar2
</itemoutput>
So will take this output valu from xml clob and will update my staging table .
Which have the same colum name as its look in xml clob.
Step- 4. I will take this value from staging table and update my original oracle database table. which i send you before.
But u leave this step becaue you dont know the staging table colum maping with original table.
I think now you understand
Please feed back
monrizhere is my xml..
I want to extract <..output> elements which enclosed with " " and its values from this xml file. please any body have any idea. please tell me
Thanks

At the botton(copy right section) 10.3.5.0Hi,
There is one more method,i know
Set the JAVA_HOME and PATH
then execute the
$WL_HOME\wlserver_10.3\server\bin>setWLSEnv.cmd
Go to directory which contains weblogic.jar ($WL_HOME\server\lib) and run below command
$WL_HOME\wlserver_10.3\server\lib>java -cp weblogic.jar weblogic.version
WebLogic Server 10.3.4.0 Fri Dec 17 20:47:33 PST 2010 1384255

How to find from the data dict if a user has read access on a directory
How to find "dynamically" if a user has READ access to a directory object.
I want to know if there is a data dictionary table that holds if a user/schema has read access to a directory object.
I know there is an dba_directories table and an all_directories table but they dont give information as to which user has read access granted to the directory.Not so difficult.
select 'YES'
from all_tab_privs A, all_directories B
where a.grantee = 'USERNAME'
and a.table_name = b.directory_name
and b.directory_path = 'PATH YOU ARE LOOKING FOR'

How to find the level of each child table in a relational model?
Earthlings,
I need your help and I know that, 'yes, we can change'. Change this thread to a answered question.
So: How to find the level of each child table in a relational model?
I have a relacional database (9.2), all right?!
O /* This is a child who makes N references to each of the follow N parent tables (here: three), and so on. */
/↑\ Fks
O"O O" <-- level 2 for first table (circle)
/↑\ Fks
"o"o"o" <-- level 1 for middle table (circle)
↑ Fk
"º"Tips:
- each circle represents a table;
- red tables no have foreign key
- the table in first line of tree, for example, has level 3, but when 3 becomes N? How much is N? This's the question.
I started thinking about the following:
First I have to know how to take the children:
select distinct child.table_name child
from all_cons_columns father
join all_cons_columns child
using (owner, position)
join (select child.owner,
child.constraint_name fk,
child.table_name child,
child.r_constraint_name pk,
father.table_name father
from all_constraints father, all_constraints child
where child.r_owner = father.owner
and child.r_constraint_name = father.constraint_name
and father.constraint_type in ('P', 'U')
and child.constraint_type = 'R'
and child.owner = 'OWNER') aux
using (owner)
where child.constraint_name = aux.fk
and child.table_name = aux.child
and father.constraint_name = aux.pk
and father.table_name = aux.father;Thinking...

My thanks in advance,
Philips

formatted the code and the hierarchy for readbilityJustin,
Understood.
Nocycle not work in 9.2 and, even that would work, would not be appropriate.
With your help, I decided a much simpler way (but there is still a small problem, <font color=red>IN RED</font>):

Even better, if we throw a little v$session into the mix, the results are highly readable:
SQL> select s1.username || '@' || s1.machine
2 || ' ( SID=' || s1.sid || ' ) is blocking '
3 || s2.username || '@' || s2.machine || ' ( SID=' || s2.sid || ' ) ' AS blocking_status
4 from v$lock l1, v$session s1, v$lock l2, v$session s2
5 where s1.sid=l1.sid and s2.sid=l2.sid
6 and l1.BLOCK=1 and l2.request > 0
7 and l1.id1 = l2.id1
8 and l2.id2 = l2.id2 ;
