How to fix non-working CS6 product Help menus

I had been running the CS6 Master Collection trial download version.  I could not access the "Online Help" and "Support Center" choices in the main Help menu on any of the CS6 applications.  The options were not working, able to connect, or gave errors because the Help folder did not exist or was corrupted.
If you have this problem, you don't need to uninstall and reinstall your product or the suite. The problem is corrupt or missing help files.
This is what I'm running: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Adobe Support provided this solution for both desktop and netbook.
Close all running Adobe applications.
In the Windows directory C:/Program Files (x86)/Adobe/, delete the "Adobe Help" folder.
(C:Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Help/).
Reboot.
Go to the Adobe Community Help center at http://www.adobe.com/support/chc/ to get the latest Adobe Help Manager.
On the left side of Hep Center, skip Step 1 and click the "Install Now" button in Step 2.
Choose to save "AdobeHelp.air" in the application or programs folder on your computer.
When the new Adobe Help Manager app opens, choose "General Settings."
Select "No" for "Display Local Help content only settings" so you can access both online and local help.
At the bottom of the settings window, click "Download" to download all the latest PDF and lcoal content. The downloaded folders are more than 1 GB for the CS6 Master Suite help files. Watch at the bottom left of the download window to see the small progress meter.
Once done, reboot.
My CS6 Master Collection help menus throughout were fixed.

This is not working for me. I follow the instructions to the T and still I have the exact same problem - no offline help is available. When I open the Help Manager and it shows that the help files are current and I click one and then ask to open the PDF, I get nothing happening at all.
If I click in Help Manager to see offline help only, hitting F1 in AE does nothing. If I allow Help Manager to view both offline and online help and hit F1, no problem; as long as I'm online!
There was another fix listed to resolve this issue that did nothing too. For some time it was just wait until June, well the PDF files are available but Help Manager has become Frustration Inducer.
Where to now?

    You will need to pay to have it replaced. Check with third-party repair depots. It's cheaper than Apple. In the mean time, here is a workaround to get it to work.

    Nobody can tell you anything without proper system and version info. This error typically means that the link to the external process is being blocked, so check your security tools.

    This is an ipad 2 it hasn't been updated, the thing is I restored it to the orginal setting because it was acting up, instead of 59.9 GB it gave me the memory capacity of 58.9 that has been already been use. Do you think using a different computer that hasn't been use on my ipad will raise the memory capacity? I've done it before just that the computer that I've been using has my ipad's data.

    Hello! I have a question. Unfortunately my phone is being very coherent. So, every time I touch Messages on main screen, it leads me there but my screen is horizontal rather than vertical. How do I fix the rotation to put vertically so I can read my messages? Help please!

    It's possible that the orientation is locked in landscape (horizontal) mode. You wouldn't notice that on the home screen as it only displays in portrait (vertical mode) but would see it when you open messages. Open Control Center (on the home screen swipe up with one finger from below the bottom of the screen); orientation lock is at the far right of the top row -- looks like a lock with circular arrow around it. The same icon will display on the menu bard when orientation is locked.

    It sounds as though the certificates have gotten a little mixed up...
    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Clear Firefox's Cache
    Firefox menu > Preferences > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on yahoo.com (secure or insecure), try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
    If you can't open a page on yahoo.com, you can open the dialog on this site and change the site in the search box at the top of the dialog to yahoo.com.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

    My name is José. I work on a 13" MacBook Pro (MBP 9,2 mid 2012) with Mac OS X 10.9.5 (13F34). It has a 2,5GHz Intel core i5 Processor. 4GB of RAM Memory, and an Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB.
    I've installed the Adobe CS6 and I'm having trouble with After Effects. It just won't open. Every time I try to run the app it crashes and the "GPU manager" alert pops up. I had installed and ran Photoshop and Illustrator successfully but After Effects crashes every time. I've even downloaded and installed all the updates from the Adobe support and still got the alert message. I installed 11.0.1, 11.0.2, 11.0.3 and 11.0.4 updates but non of them seems to fix the problem.
    Please, hope someone could help me.

    Instale la suite de Adobe CS6 pero estoy teniendo problemas con After Effects. Simplemente no abre al aplicación. Cada vez que lo intento se cierra antes de arrancar y aparece el mensaje de alerta de "GPU manager." Instalé con éxito Photoshop e Illustrator y ambos corren sin problemas. Descargué las actualizaciones de la pág de Adobe 11.0.1-2-3-4 y nada parece solucionar el problema.

    Buenas, otra vez. Terminé resolviendo mi problema instalando el AE CC. que no es lo que quería en principio pero al final lo que me importa es poder disfrutar del programa. el único problema es que gracias a la tarjeta gráfica que trae mi modelo de MacBook, no podré disfrutar de la opción de trabajar los gráficos en GPU sino únicamente en CPU. ya que para trabajar en GPU necesito el complemento CUDA que mi tarjeta no lo puede utilizar. igual seguiré buscando respuestas a mi caso por la web y otros foros.
    Hello again. I ended up installing AE CC to fix my problem. although that was not what I was looking for but at the end all that matter is to enjoy the software. The only unsolving issue is that I won't be able to enjoy the option of working graphics in GPU mode due to my graphic card. It needs CUDA and intel doesn't support it. I'll keep on looking for answers to my trouble with AE CS6 in the web.

    question : will it work if I buy CS6 on my MacBook Pro and "copy" it on my iMac ?  so one licence on two computers
    and I'll use one computer at a time.

    1. I am for the week in Buenos Aires with a  serious internet connexion I can buy CS6 from there and load it on my MacBook
    2. but there are so many tutorials that I would like to copy them all, go back to the middle of nowhere and start learning on my own

    CS6 should still be available on CD/DVD as a suite. Amazon and other internet sites should still be selling it. That license is good for 2 computers, only 1 can run the suite at a time. But can stay installed on both.
    While looking at that site, search for tutorials on CD. Get a few books as well, which are also available as ebooks or kindle books. The kindle software is free for most systems including windows and Mac.
    The CC or cloud version probably would not be for you unless you can make sure you can get to an internet connection once a month. Though if you can not don't worry the software will reactivate the next time you connect.
