How to force an automatic query when first accessing a form?

I have several forms on different tabs. When the first is queried, I save the key field. When the other forms start, they get the key with wwsto_api_session.load_session and store it in the form A_key.
I want to have already performed a query when the user goes to the tab with the form on it. Can this be done? Is there a way to call doQuery from PL/SQL code?

In my experience, this mechanism for wrapping the unmanaged expcetion should be by desiged since the .NET does not know these exception type. For handling unmanaged exception, the .NET provides a specific class:

I just upgraded from Aperture 2 to Aperture 3 and installed latest updates to Aperture 3.2.2 and I have a message at the bottom of the browser: "Face detection..." with a spinning wheel. This has been going for over an hour. But it took six hours for Aperture 3 to upgrade my Aperture 2 library (approximately 60,000 photos). Am I looking at the same sort of time frame for "face detection"?

Thanks for the info... but I just answered my own question: I went to Aperture Preferences (thanks to someone's suggestion that this is where to turn off Faces) and an activity screen popped up showing Face detection progress. (Cool!) It's going thru all my images... and right now the status is 4,080 of 55,182. Very nice. So looks like I have a few more hours to go!

How to make 2nd Param requried , when First Param is set to Y?

Hi Friends
I have a Concurrent Program with 2 params , Param1 ( accepts Y/N ) and param2 (varchar2) .
If the User gives param1 as Y ,I should make param2 as requried field. If param1 is N, user can leave param2 as null.
Any suggestions, How can i achieve this?
Any sample code using forms personalization. i looked some tutorails but didnt find any

Along with my 2 params, I created a Dummy Param
I created 3 value sets for 3 params
AMS_SRS_YES_NO_MAND (Standard)
CHP_AP_CR_DUMMY (No Validation value set)
CHP_AP_CHECK_REQUEST_ID (Table based value set). Add in the where clause :$FLEX$.CHP_AP_CR_DUMMY = 'Y'
2) Parameters for conc program
10. YES_NO. Value set = AMS_SRS_YES_NO_MAND, Display = Yes, Required = Yes
20. DUMMY. Value set = CHP_AP_CR_DUMMY, Default type = SQL Statement, Statement is

Displat = No
30. CR_ID. Value set = CHP_AP_CHECK_REQUEST_ID, Display = Yes, Required = Yes
When you run the cp , if param1 =N' , then param2 is greyed out
and if param1='Y', param2 will be required and user can select value from LOV.

I've a query which fetches the data from the tables based on daily transactions.
I mean, the data gets updated daily basis.
Now, i want to send the user a Ms-access work sheet with the query written, so that when ever the query is executed, it would fetch the records (with latest updates).
I found some documents in google to, how to write sql query in ms-access.
How ever, i'm unable to find the connection setup.
how do i connect to oracle database using ms-access??

Basically steps include,
Install and configure Oracle client
Configure ODBC DSN using correct TNS name configured in first step
Link the table from Msaccess, make sure you linked the table not import it.

Is it possible to remove the submit form button that's automatically created when you distribute a form?

I have created a form for my boss and distributed it. She doesn't want the submit form button to appear as people don't need to submit the form to anyone, just fill it in and keep a copy. I can't figure out how to remove this button. It's not one I've created, it's the one that it automatically generates when you don't have a submit button in your form. Is it possible to remove this button or do we just have to live with it? I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.

You can have more control on the email subject/ to and CC Email address, if you use a regular button and place the code in the click event.

Deploymnent of EJB only when first accessed?

Hi,
We are developing a large application with 200+ EJBs ( around 50 Session Beans and 150 Entity Beans) and we are facing some problems on development times due to deployment time every time we need to start the server to test latest developments.
We are using JDeveloper 10.1.2 and it about 10-12 minutes to deploy all the EJBs and then start the application initialization process.
I was wondering if there is any option that can be set to only deploy the EJBs when they are first accessed by the application. As we are not making performance tests at this stage, the extra time that would be required per operation wouldn't be an issue and development would be easier as server start-up times would be very smaller.
Any idea/suggestion will be appreciated.

It is not an existing feature of OC4J, I do not know if any app server supports this, this could be quite 'dangerous' if you have some dependencies or compilation error that you raised during runtime instead of deployment time.
As you may know the EJB compilation has been a lot improved in OracleAS 10.1.3.x, and Oracle is working to provide a "pre-compilation" tools that will allow the EAR to generate all the EJB artifact and compile them before deployment to improve the deployment time.

When I access a page as a public user, I receive the following error for each portlet on the page:
Error: The request for content either timed out, or produced an error, after 0 seconds.
When I reload the page, everything looks fine. Any suggestions?

I had the same errors. What worked for me was making sure I used the following url when referring to the page:
http://host.mydomain.com/pls/portal30/url/page/PAGENAME

How can I prevent Firefox automatically updating when first opened on a new CentOS Installation ?

I just installed CentOS on a new virtual machine for testing. I need to run Firefox 28 on it.
NO. Don't argue. It needs to be firefox 28.. Yes, I know firefox 35 is out. Yes I know it fixes important vulnerabilities. Yes, I know it has a load of new features. That information won't help me in the slightest. I need Firefox 28 on this virtual machine for a very specific reason, firefox 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35 won't be suitable for this purpose.... The reason I need it is to do with testing a specific website compatibility with older browser versions on multiple operating systems. I am fully aware that the latest version of firefox is the "best"... but it's not what I need right now, so please don't ask questions like "why are you using an older version" or suggest things like "you know, it's really in your best interests to use the latest version"... I get it, OK.... but that's not a helpful reply to this question, because I have a really specific requirement here.
... sorry if that seems rude, I just know what sort of replies get posted here whenever someone suggests using an older browser. I do get why people give such advice. I do understand the benefits of keeping computers that connect to the internet up to date. This particular Virtual Machine won't actually be used to connect to the internet... just to a test website on an intranet.
So the problem I have is that this installation of CentOS 6.4 (x64) comes with Firefox 31. When it first opens, before I have a chance to toggle off update checking, it begins downloading Firefox 35.0.1 and I haven't figured out how to abort the download. I thought about killing the task, but I feared what that might do. So I let it update to Firefox 35 and thought I'd just downgrade it to Firefox 28 afterwards.
I do have the standalone installation of Firefox 28 for linux (firefox-28.0.tar.bz2). I can extract it on the CentOS virtual machine. I thought for my purpose, I could then just run the browser binary.... but it started updating before I could change the option to never check for updates... and there's no option to abort the download there....... sigh...
So I tried editing the file update-setting.ini. I was quite hopeful when I saw it say:
; If you modify this file updates may fail.
; Do not modify this file.
So I changed the setting below to say:
[Settings]
ACCEPTED_MAR_CHANNEL_IDS=dont_update_this_please
hoping that my rather rash change might indeed cause updates to fail :-)
Sadly, it seems that the updates are still happening.
Basically here is what I need on CentOS - A way to run Firefox 28 without it updating to a newer version without asking me first. I don't mind if it keeps asking me... so long as it asks me instead of just doing it without asking.
Just to be clear again - this is for a test configuration I have to build, on a virtual machine. It's OK for this one specific machine to have vulnerabilities, it's OK that it doesn't have all the new features of Firefox 35. It's what I need. It won't be used to browse the internet and go to dangerous web sites that might implant malicious code. It will only be used to connect to a specific web server, behind a corporate firewall, that my company tightly controls. I'm pretty sure doesn't have malware on it (if it does, I have much bigger problems that using an old version of a browser) . Then in a few weeks time, this VM will be deleted, along with the old version of Firefox I hope to have running on it.
Incidentally, I may also have to repeat whatever I'm doing here later on another CentOS VM to install Firefox 27, 26, 25... but I'm hoping I don't have to... but I assume that whatever procedure works for Firefox 28 will work for these other slightly older versions too... don't worry, I don't have to go all the way back to Firefox 1.0... it's not THAT bad :-)
So, with the understanding very clear that normally you would probably recommend just using the latest version.... can anyone help me ?

Firefox tarballs from Mozilla Org use prefs within Firefox for updates. The "toggle" for not automatically updating - '''app.update.enabled''' and where to look for updates - '''app.update.url'''. The first needs to be '''''false''''' and the second could be a '''''null''''' string, do an update can't be found.
''I use both prefs to keep Firefox from updating by itself. I install each new version of Firefox as it is released, and keep the older versions around for reference purposes. Those prefs are the same since Firefox 1.5 came out.''
The versions of Firefox that are part of an operating system installation usually are that OS's own build of Firefox, and don't use the same update setup as Mozilla uses, in most cases. I am not familiar with Cent OS, but Ubuntu and Debian look for Firefox updates and from their own program repository servers outside of Firefox - as with the tarballs from Mozilla.

Avoid POWL automatic query when clicking on it

Thanks for your answer, it partially solved the problem, but I still have an issue.
The first time I open the POWL, the first query that is selected by default (In my case: Shopping Carts) is refreshed automatically without taking in account the /SAPSRM/POWL_NO_REFR parameter.
Then when I select other queries, they are not refreshed automatically (As expected)
Is there any way to avoid this behaviour? Or maybe we should create an OSS note?

You have 2 options
#1 You can set Alerts at the announcement list level as shown below. In the send alerts to users you can add your user emails or distribution list email and choose email as delivery method. You can choose to
send Announcements on various actions that are there on the form. This is simple way. This send email the out of the box style. You cannot change that.
#2 The other option is to use SharePoint Designer and set a workflow on changes and send mail. You can customize the look and feel of it there.

Use dbms_scheduler to run a procedure at a given time (or at repeatedly, at given times).
A trigger is good for re-acting to certain actions in the database, someone INSERTing a row in a given table, for example. Nothing will necessarily be happening when you want your procedure to run, so a trigger is not good in this case.

How to force DMAgent to query server immediately

We'd like to have possibility to invoke DMAgent's processing of OL commands programatically - is there any way how to do this? Our users use OL on PDAs and connect to mobile server using mobile phone. That means there's connection to server only during the synchronization and so the commands are frequently waiting for device processing for few days, even though I set the dmc frequency parameter to 30 seconds. Is there any command line argument which would force DMAgent to process server commands on demand?

I have been using autosync. Withe selected publication items (10.3) It works ok. But i have some issues in publication level sync parameters and platform sync parameters. In the publication i have mentioned when 50 update records to sync and on platform i have mentioned when ac power is detected. Only when ac power detected triggers(On win32) doing as an experiments.
Your problem should solve with auto sync. (But i have not seen any option to start modem connection within oracle lite. If it is available we can getrid of many issues. Because to use api i do not know java. im using .net)
Another issue is that when autosync introduces the frequency of device read write error increased(WM5 PDA)im using a kingston 2gb micro sd. I raised this question earlier. But found little information. Then tried with FLUSH_AFTER_WRITE=true in polite but still the issue is there. I think for autosync we might need a reliable sd card. Otherthan that it works fine and client data is uploaded when ac 50 updated records in WM5 and when ac power detected in WIN32.

Yes, I did that, however, when I close flash, and then
re-open it, my saved panel set does not automatically come up. I
have to go to "window" "panel sets" and select my saved panel set.
