How to generate a new predefined PDF from certain form data?

Hi,
I want to create a form (in either Word or PDF) with diffrerent sections for people to fill out. I then want them to easily turn some of the data from the form into a new predefined PDF template.
For example, I have created a case study form for academics to complete. Then i'd like them to be able to generate an actual case study that they can distribute. The case study will be a predefined template that only needs to contain certain data from the form. Some of the sections on the form will be for internal purposes only.
How can i do this? I have Abobe Pro, but not everyone does.

This type if thing is fairly easy to do for people who have Acrobat since the form data can be readily exported from one PDF and imported into another, but this isn't an option with Reader. There are methods you can use to easily copy data from one form to another with Reader, but it relies on JavaScript programming in both of the forms. If this sounds like something you want to pursue, post again and I can provide some guidance.

One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:

Using data from a spreadsheet, how can I create multiple completed PDFs from a form template?

Note that I am completely new to adobe acrobat.
I have a form template for a completion certificate for students who take a summer workshop where I'm working. It includes data such as their name and the program they completed. I have all the necessary information for each student in an excel spread sheet. Rather than sit here and enter data into the form 300+ times, I want to automate the process. I'd like to be able to specify the spread sheet and either have acrobat just print out all 300, or save them as seperate files so I can print them easily.

Thanks for the response! I'd be interested in writing a script for it (I've actually been researching it a bit already). I'm completely new to Javascript (and scripting) but have a fair level of experience with c/c++ so I feel it shouldn't be too bad. I've looked at the Acrobat JavaScript API Reference (http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/js_api_reference.pdf) a bit but am having trouble finding a way to read the spreadsheet's data in (I was planning on using a csv file). I found Doc.importTextData(), which can parse a tab delimited file and from the sounds of it fill in the forms automatically (though I would much prefer a c style file interface that lets me write the parsing logic). Every time I try to call importTextData it returns -1 though, which means "Warning: User Canceled File Select". When I call it direct from the JavaScript Debug Console I just get a -1, but when I have it execute when I save I get "NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method.". I did a bit of research on that and modified my script to look like:

I've also tried running Acrobat as an administrator, but I still get the same error. I could just not be understanding privileges correctly.

    for each row in the spreadsheet
        - read the row in from the file
        - fill out the fields in the PDF using the read data
        - save the file with a new file name.
If there is a better method to do this, just let me know.

I am using NetBeans 6.5 and I am able to post data to web server using httpconnect and i am also able to open default browser on my mobile using platformRequest(url).
But what I am trying to do is that: i want to post data (not get method) to my ASP web page and then I want my web page opens in my mobile default browser keeping my post data. Shortly I want to open my ASP page in a new browser passing some parameters from midlet using POST method (not GET)

Show the Alert like this:

We would like to basically do a 'mail merge' of our list of customers with an interactive PDF file (including videos, menus, etc - not just form fill out and web links) to create a single PDF file that contains multiple mail pieces ... one for each customer ... with each mail piece being customized for that customer. Customizations would include different greetings (Dear Bob, Dear Dana, etc), as well as different charts based on data unique to the customer, different photographs, etc.
I've seen that InDesign and Acrobat Professional can be used to create an interactive PDF (such as from http://tv.adobe.com/watch/ask-the-adobe-ones/14-calling-rufus-about-interactive-pdf-making). However I don't understand how I can insert data from a database, csv file, excel file etc into the PDF file so that each page, or each set of pages, within the PDF can be customized.
Can anyone point me to a tool to use for this?

For that kind of volume and unattended operation, you want InDesign Server – which is the server/high volume edition of INDD.

Exporting to pdf from VB losing data

I am using MyReport.ExportToDisk(CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat to export to a pdf file, and some of my reports are missing big chunks of data in the pdf.
I can generate the same report/pdf from within CR, and the export works fine.
Any ideas? thanks

This problem cleared up when I re-saved my main report after editing the embedded sub-reports. Was related to extra headers and footers being added to sub-reports, along with "can grow" format option set to "No".
