How to generate web svc data control from WSDL in 10.1.3 to secure web svc

When I try to connect to web service via https, I get the error:
WARNING: Unable to connect to URL: https://remove.site.com/service
java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException:

There does appear to be this dependency on Oracle Wallet, which I saw when I set:
System.setProperty("HTTPClient.log.level","1");
which showed Using Wallet:
and nothing after it.
AFTER I set:
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.Keystore", "f:\ewallet.p12");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.KeyStorePassword","mywallet12");
I saw the "wallet" being used, but still ended up with the same error. I'm only trying to use the "test client" that the web service "generate web service proxy" produces.
The stack trace was:

When I created the data control for the WSDL in 10.1.2 (jdev), I didn't end up with as many files and only needed to set two system properties, and change the following lines to use Apache SOAP and I could invoke the web service as a data control as well:
1. references to OracleSOAPHTTPConnection changed to:
SOAPHTTPConnection
// import oracle.soap.transport.http.OracleSOAPHTTPConnection;
import org.apache.soap.transport.http.SOAPHTTPConnection;
2. comment out:
setTransportProperties
getTransportProperties
How can you connect to a remote web service using HTTPS with JDeveloper 10g and use the Oracle wallet?
Can someone provide specific steps to get it working based on having a WSDL file to start with?
Thanks!

Hello,
I have the same problem. I am trying to consume a CRM On Demand's Web Service from JDeveloper 10 g (version 10.1.3).
The main method from my Client is:
System.setProperty("HTTPClient.log.level","1");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.Keystore", "C:\\jdevstudio1013\\jdk\\jre\\lib\\security");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.KeyStorePassword",PASSWORD_KEYSTORE);
crmod.DefaultClient myPort = new crmod.DefaultClient();
ListOfContact list= new ListOfContact();
ListOfContact outList= new ListOfContact();
Contact[] contacts=new Contact[2];
Contact contact=new Contact();
// Login WS (HTTPS)
idSesionFull=conexionWS_CRM.logon(constantes.URL,constantes.USER,constantes.PASSWORD);
System.setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.service.endpoint.address", URL);
System.setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username", USER);
System.setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password", PASSWORD);
System.setProperty("javax.xml.ws.BindingProvider.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY", URL);
// Add contacts

contact.setContactLastName("prove"+i);
contact.setCellularPhone("77777777"+i);
contact.setExternalSystemId("1234"+i);
contacts=contact;
list.setContact(contacts);
outList=myPort.contactInsert(list,"OFF");
Contact[] results = new Contact[2];
Contact result = new Contact();
for (int i = 0; i < contacts.length; i++) {
results=outList.getContact();
System.out.println("Add contact with ID:"+results[i].getContactId()+" nom:"+results[i].getContactFirstName());

And I am working without Proxy Server.
The steps I have done to obtain the keystore are:
1) Obtain the certificate from https://secure-ausomxgfa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration and save as .cer
2) With this certificate I have generated the keystore:
C:\jdevstudio1013\jdk\jre\bin keytool -import -v -f DIR_CERTIFICATE_DOWNLOADED -keystore server.keystore -keypass PASS -storepass PASS_FROM_server.keystore
PASS=I have put an invented password
Any idea to solve the error? Is necessary a certificate with a keystore to connect HTTPS Web Service from JDeveloper 10g?
Thank you an regards.

  • Is it possible to create data control from wsdl when complextype is used

    Getting DCA-40015 error when trying to create a data control from WSDL file.
    The error clearly says complextype is not supported . just trying to see if there are any workarounds . because creating data control will save time in developing user interface by dragging and dropping the the data control in jsf page. jdeveloper webservice tester is able to create user interface for me based on wsdl when i run it , trying to develop the user interface using jsf pages
    oracle.adf.model.adapter.AdapterException: DCA-40015: Failed to create the structure for schema element "result". The complex type definition of the element is not supported.

    Hi,
    I could reproduce what I did:
    - created WebService from custom Pojo Model
    - Made sure all entities implemented serializable
    - In the WebServices Wizard, I created XML representations for my entities
    - tested with OC4J WebServices tester
    - Built ADF data control from WSDL file of deployed WebService
    - Created dependency t project containing the POJO entities
    - Selected result.xml of each method exposed in the WebService project
    - In the structure window, selected "item" (result-->item)
    - changed Bean class to my entity class name (absolute name)
    This showed my entity in the DC palette

  • Not able to access SOAP web service data control from adf mobile

    Hi,
    I am trying to call web services from adf mobile..
    I have created data control from external web service and it is perfectlly working on web browser..
    But why it is showing an error on emulator??
    Is there any .jar file missing in adf mobile so that it is not supporting a web service?
    Or is there any other problem? Emulator is connected to network and I am able to run WSDL in emulator's browser..
    Please help me to solve this issue..
    Thanks,
    Laxmi

    Emulator is connected to network and I am able to run WSDL in emulator's browser..
    Connecting to WSDL in the browser is not the same as connecting to WSDL in an application.
    To access a web service from an Android device enable a permission in AndroidManifest.xml that allows applications to open network sockets. Add the following uses-permission element.
    <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"></uses-permission>

  • How can I create a query with web service data control?

    I need to create a query with web service data control, in WSDL, it's query operation, there is a parameter message with the possible query criteria and a return message contains the results. I googled, but cannot find anything on the query with web service. I cannot find a "Named Criteria" in web service data control like normal data control. In Shay's blog, I saw the topics on update with web service data control. How can I create a query with web service data control? Thanks.

  • JDeveloper - ADF Mobile - Web Services Data Control

    Hello,
    I'm new to ADF mobile (newer than ADF mobile itself :) I watched Shay's excellent you tube videos which makes it look really easy to create a mobile projects. I was successfully able to create a simple project and deploy it on my iphone and ipad. The next step is to get data from a web service. I am trying to create web service data control from this wsdl: http://msrmaps.com/TerraService2.asmx?wsdl.
    However I keep getting an unusual error with a dialog of heading: "Invalid WSDL URL" and the dialog says: "oracle/adfinternal/model/adapter/webservice/utils/WSUtils$DefaultAuthPrompter" with an OK button. I tried quite a few things and other applications like Flex Builder and Soap UI and was able to successfully use this wsdl: http://msrmaps.com/TerraService2.asmx?wsdl.
    A few things about my environment:
    I am working on mac OS X 10.8.2
    I have JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0 (Build JDEVADF_11.1.2.3.0_GENERIC_120914.0223.6276.1)
    Java version installed: 1.6.0_37
    I'm at a loss here and not sure what am I missing? I tried googling "DefaultAuthPrompter" and nothing shows up.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi Arun,
    I'm not behind a firewall and access the wsdl directly. I can also use other applications to generate proxy classes from this wsdl url.
    I am starting to wonder if there is missing library on my mac installation of Jdeveloper?

  • [Solved]Web Service Data Control operation not visible in Data Controls

    Hi!
    I've created Web Service Data Control (named MyDataControl ) in my DataModel project for my web application (ADF BC 10.1.3.3). I've finished the wizard successfully (added initiate operation to the right side in step 2: Data Control Operations) but when the wizard finishes the initiate operation is not visible in the Data Controls (MyDataControl is visible without the operation). I'm using CVS so I think maybe some files were write protected while creating the control.
    These are the files where Data Control is written to:

    Found out the reason. The problem was in ...MyApp\.adf\META-INF\connections.xml file which had write protection.

    Hi,
    I have the same issue using JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.1 to build a web service data control on a web service exposed with weblogic...
    Does anyone have a solution ?
    Thanks
    ( Note: this is a new issue, it might have appeared after upgrading from 11.1.1.0.0 to 11.1.1.0.1 )

  • Displaying data from Web Service Data Control on a page

    Hi,
    I have a problem with a Web Service Data Control.
    The web service is executed:
    1) When the page (.jspx) is loading. Every time that the page is loaded, the web service is executed!
    2) From a submit button. In this case the web servide is executed two times, in the submit and in the loading of the page.
    I want to avoid the first case because i have to reduce the called to ws. I want to use the second case to call the web service (only one time).
    How can i avoid the execution of the web service when the page (form) is loading?
    Thanks

    Hello Arun,
    I've set refreshCondition property for the iterator to #{!adfFacesContext.initialRender} but doesn't work correctly.
    I'm testing the property with the example in:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/wssamplebase-321929.zip
    I am using Oracle IDE 11.1.1.5.
    Have you got any ideas what might be the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Dynamic pagination using inputs from a Web Service data control

    I am in process of creating a pagination UI component , much similiar to the one used in Oracle forums eg: Pages: 100 [1 2 3 4 5 | Next ]
    I am making use of a Web Service to get the following details for my search results :
    a) Number of search result rows (100) ,
    b) total number of rows to be shown on one page (5)
    c) Total number of pages
    I am wondering how to create the pagination UI control in my ADF Faces page and How can I bind the web service data control to the pagination component for a simple dynamic navigation
    Please advice. I am new to ADF development, so looking inputs for approach to the above elucidated problem (Code not required)

    Yes I am using <af:commandLink > component
    <af:forEach
    var="list" items="#{NavBean.list}">
    <af:spacer width="5" height="10" id="s1"/>
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl2" layout="horizontal"
    halign="center"
    inlineStyle="#{list.found ? 'background-color:#aeccd8;' : 'background-color:white;'} text-align:center; width:15px; ">
    <af:commandLink text="#{list.character}" id="cl1"
    partialSubmit="true"
    disabled="#{list.found ? false : true}"
    actionListener="#{NavBean.onIndexSelected}">
    <f:attribute name="indxKey" value="#{list.character}"/>
    </af:commandLink>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </af:forEach>
    I have created a NavBean managed bean with some methods and foll set of instance variable:
    List<IndexCharacterObject> list = null;
    int startRow;
    int endRow;
    int pageNumber;
    int numPages;
    int totalRows;
    I want these variables in the Managed bean class to be automatically populated from the Web Service data control .. Not sure how to go about binding these values ?

  • How to find out which data control do the page layout components come from?

    hi,
    work in Jdev 11.1.2.3
    After have drag and drop data control into pages designer, how to find out which data control do the page layout component (such as a field in form layout) come from?
    --i cannot find data control related information in the property pallete for the page layout component.

  • Request parameter of Web Service Data Control shows up as an Object

    I have deployed a simple web service on a peoplesoft instance.
    The request message is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns="http://www.example.org"
    targetNamespace="http://www.example.org"
    elementFormDefault="qualified">
    <xsd:element name="SSR_CLASS_SEARCH_REQ">
    <xsd:annotation>
    <xsd:documentation>
    A sample element
    </xsd:documentation>
    </xsd:annotation>
    <xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="INSTITUTION" type="xsd:string" nillable="true"/>
    <xsd:element name="TERM" type="xsd:string" nillable="true"/>
    <xsd:element name="CAREER" type="xsd:string" nillable="true"/>
    <xsd:element name="SUBJECT" type="xsd:string" nillable="true"/>
    <xsd:element name="CLASS_NBR" type="xsd:int" nillable="true"/>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:schema>
    While the response message has a depth of three levels:
    In jdev 11g (Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.1.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.1.0_GENERIC_090615.0017.5407) the one available for download on OTN, I perform the following steps.
    Create a Web Service Data control using the WSDL url, generated from the PSFT end.
    The Data control creates successfully. The problem is:
    - In the service operation method (in the data control) the request parameter is shown as an Object.
    - The entry under the service operation parameter tree, is 'paramater'
    The data control looks like:
    - <datacontrolname>
    - <serviceOperationName>_parameters
    - parameter
    - CAREER
    - CLASS_NBR
    - INSTITUTION
    - SUBJECT
    - TERM
    - <serviceOperationName>(Object)
    - Parameters
    - parameter
    - Return
    - <Return type>
    The return type shows up fine, with collections in hierarchy of a depth of tree.
    How do I create a parameter form for this data control.

    Hi,
    In this usecase , you can DnD the <serviceOperationName>_parameters as an ADF from. Then DnD the operation as a method. The methods input arg value is automatically set to the parameterIterator.currentRow.DataProvider. This works fine.

  • Create data control from java class, not see "ADF Parameter Forms" option

    Hi,
    I have created a Fusion Web Application (ADF) in jdev 11g. In the application model project, I created a java class. Inside the java class, I have a public method as below
    public Asset [] searchAsset3(SearchTerm s) // SearchTerm is a java bean. It implements java.io.Serializable.
    I created data control from my java class. After that, I see an xml file generated under the same folder of my java class. Here is the xml content.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <JavaBean xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/beanmodel" version="11.1.1.53.62"
    id="AIAAsset" Package="oracle.apps.aia.oer.model"
    BeanClass="oracle.apps.aia.oer.model.AIAAsset" isJavaBased="true">
    <MethodAccessor IsCollection="true"
    Type="com.flashline.registry.openapi.entity.Asset"
    BeanClass="com.flashline.registry.openapi.entity.Asset"
    id="searchAsset" ReturnNodeName="Asset"
    CollectionBeanClass="UpdateableCollection">
    <ParameterInfo id="name" Type="java.lang.String" isStructured="false"/>
    <ParameterInfo id="version" Type="java.lang.String" isStructured="false"/>
    <ParameterInfo id="description" Type="java.lang.String"
    isStructured="false"/>
    </MethodAccessor>
    <MethodAccessor IsCollection="true"
    Type="com.flashline.registry.openapi.entity.AssetSummary"
    BeanClass="com.flashline.registry.openapi.entity.AssetSummary"
    id="searchAssetSummary" ReturnNodeName="AssetSummary"
    CollectionBeanClass="UpdateableCollection">
    <ParameterInfo id="name" Type="java.lang.String" isStructured="false"/>
    <ParameterInfo id="version" Type="java.lang.String" isStructured="false"/>
    <ParameterInfo id="description" Type="java.lang.String"
    isStructured="false"/>
    <ParameterInfo id="type" Type="java.lang.String" isStructured="false"/>
    </MethodAccessor>
    <MethodAccessor IsCollection="true"
    Type="com.flashline.registry.openapi.entity.Asset"
    BeanClass="com.flashline.registry.openapi.entity.Asset"
    id="searchAsset3" ReturnNodeName="Asset"
    CollectionBeanClass="UpdateableCollection">
    <ParameterInfo id="s" Type="com.flashline.registry.openapi.query.SearchTerm"
    isStructured="true"/>
    </MethodAccessor>
    <ConstructorMethod IsCollection="true"
    Type="oracle.apps.aia.oer.model.AIAAsset"
    BeanClass="oracle.apps.aia.oer.model.AIAAsset"
    id="AIAAsset"/>
    </JavaBean>
    Then, in application user interface project, I created a JSPX page. From the data controls palette, I want to drag and drop the searchAsset3 onto my page. However, I don't see an option for me to choose "Create -> Parameters -> ADF Parameter Form". I only see "Create -> Methods". Unlike other public methods (e.g.searchAssetSummary and searchAsset) which have simple data type as input, I can see the "Create -> Parameters -> ADF Parameter Form" option when I drag and drop to my jspx page. Is that something I missed while creating data controls?
    Thanks.
    Arnold.

    Then, my other question is how do you do the bindings? I drag and drop the attributes from SearchTerm bean. Now the pagedef file has the AttributeValues added but my method is actually expecting one input parameter of type SearchTerm. How do you bind the attributes to the input of the method? Thanks.
    See below of my pagedef xml file.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <pageDefinition xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/uimodel"
    version="11.1.1.53.62" id="SearchAssetBySearchTerm1PageDef"

  • Binding LinkedList to ADF Web Service Data Control

    Hi guys,
    I would like to ask about how to bind a LinkedList (consumed from webservice) to ADF web service data control, in order to display it in JSF page. This LinkedList contains java beans that hold information I need. I've tried to ask google and search this forum, but still got no luck.
    <p>
    Yes I found article about dealing with complex input params, but seems not what I'm looking for.
    <p>
    Anybody has hint or idea on this ?
    <p>
    Thanks

    Take a look at this blog entry from Susan Duncan: Dealing with Complex Input Params in ADF Web Service Data Controls.
    It looks like what you are asking for.
    Hope it helps,
    -Eric

  • BPEL process as web service data control

    Hi,
    I am trying to invoke a synchronous BPEL process from a jspx page. I have configured my BPEL process as web service data control object and
    dropped it on my jspx as a button. But after dropping it as a button i observe that it is expecting three parameters.
    I have attached the .xsd file used in the BPEL process and the screen shot of the parameter window of JDEV.
    Here if you can see, i have a heirarchy of data. I have customerType which has orderType , which further has lineType.
    Can somebody help me , how do i provide data to this process i.e in the parameter fields., so that it is in accordance with my .xsd of the BPEL process.
    -thanks,

  • Ref Cursor - Web Services - Data controls

    The quick question : How to get a data control to use a web service based on a ref cursor to work, or point me to tutorial somewhere ?
    The long question : I've created a web service based on the following Oracle package :
    Package Header :
    type ListRecord is Record
    NR NUMBER(3),
    SYMBOL VARCHAR2(2),
    VERSION VARCHAR2(3),
    CREATION_DATE DATE,
    CREATED_BY VARCHAR2(15),
    UPDATE_DATE DATE,
    UPDATED_BY VARCHAR2(15),
    STATUS NUMBER(1),
    TYPE VARCHAR2(1)
    type return_cursor is REF CURSOR return ListRecord;
    function CursorTest return return_cursor;
    Package Body :
    function CursorTest return Return_Cursor is
    c Return_Cursor;
    begin
    Open C for
    select * from stc_languages;
    return C;
    end;
    I created a web service via the PL/SQL web service wizard.
    The web service works correctly.
    I then tried to create a data control from the web service. The data control was created but every time I tried using it I got the following error :
    oracle.adf.model.adapter.AdapterException: DCA-40022: Failed to create the structure for schema element "result". The complex type definition of the element cannot be supported.
    I then searched the forum and found a post where it stated that the datacontrol needs a xsd and an optional xsl file in order to be able to "understand" the return type from the web service. This in turn is due to the wsdl using <any/> in the response soap message.
    I've created an xsd file and I've tried using an empty xsl file (as I don't think any transformation is needed) and a simple xsl file as shown below :
    xsd file :
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xdb="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb">

    xdb:SQLName="UPDATE_DATE" xdb:SQLTYPE="DATE"></xsd:element>
    <xsd:element name="CREATION_DATE" type="xsd:dateTime"
    xdb:SQLName="CREATION_DATE" xdb:SQLTYPE="DATE"></xsd:element>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:schema>
    xsl file :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <!-- Root template -->
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
    </xsl:template>
    <xsl:template match="ROWSET">
    <xsl:for-each select="ROW">
    <xsl:value-of select="NR"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="SYMBOL"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="VERSION"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="CREATION_DATE"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="CREATED_BY"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="UPDATE_DATE"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="UPDATED_BY"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="STATUS"/>
    </xsl:for-each>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    I then create a JSF page on which I place table and form objects which come from the data control.
    When I execute the JSF page no data is showing in the table or form objects.
    Using the HTTP analyzer I can see the JSF page is calling the web service and that the web service is sending an answer and that the JSF page is requesting the xsl file.
    Can anybody explain how to get a data control to use a web service based on a ref cursor to work, or point me to tutorial somewhere ?
    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hi Robert
    Thanks for taking the time to answer my question :-)
    I'm going to try your method on our system.(fingers and toes crossed :-)
    However I disagree with you when you say that the
    "cursor needs an 'open connection' to the database and you cannot
    get that via a webservice..."
    What the web service does is to create a soap message containing the entire result of the query (in this case the entire table).I've put the CursorTestXML soap answer below.
    It's the WSDL <any/> tag and the data control which would seem to be having problems.
    Soap Answer :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
