How to get report Server Name and Environment ID in Report

How to print report Server Name and Environment ID in Report 10G.(Through in package or others)
I'm also using Oracle Application Server 10G.

Hi,
Server and envid are the parameters passed along with Reports URL call.
These variables value can be traped in Report by defining SERVER , ENVID named user parameters.
Once trapped, can be printed on Report.
Just ensure that these users parameters are not exposed to Parameter page, otherwise user may end up changing it.

In summary, you have to create an external Reports Service that you can then give a name.

To configure the Mail Server u need to have SMTP server details, which your using as the mail server,either from vendor side or u can use your's domain.For your info iam pasting the Gmail Smtp server details here,
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL:      pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS or SSL:      smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
Port for SSL: 465
Account Name:      your full email address (including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com)

Getting web host name, web-port, oral-report server name and virtual path

I have been using oralce forms 6i on oracle application server 10g. I have three servers installed on remote locations.I just want that when i am hosting an application on a server, the web host name, web port , oracle report server name and the path of directory should be selected in a dynaminc variable at application level at run time. In this manner, I will be able to make a single application for all three servers. Any other solution to this problem is also welcomed. Please help anyone and oblige me.

Actually Web AS Host name is <Servername>.<domain name>:<Port no>
Web AS Path for R/3 is </sap/bc/bsp/sapd>

Sorry for the confusion as I m new to reports
I do have 10g Dev suite installed/Report builder on my local machine
I want to run my report on web using OC4J on the same local machine instead of the Run paper layout and Run web layout option
Means i want to run the report by passing URL like below

J want to know if it is possibile to obtain from a form the name of the report server and the port on work.
Infact if i use two different application server the nae of the report server change and in the script that call the report server is necesseraly using the name of the report server.

if your cases are that the dev, test, production servers have different servers and databases, then you may create a table e.g., report_server_profiles(serv_name varchar2(100),ports number), it contains one record ONLY in each server's database, then in your form code only have same code that works for three of them.
If you have two report servers, but have one database, then you may add a flag column in above table and depends on users group to set that report flag.

We are trying to automate the file location by the server name. Is there any function in Crystal Reports that we can get the server name so we know if it is D-Q or P system?

Hi,
There is no function in CR that can fetch the Server Name. That is something you need to provide to the formula.
If you're loading images from a location on the Server, you can always use a Relative Path. For eg: if the images would be stored in a folder called Images, then you can write a formula on the 'Graphic Location' for the OLE object as:
"/Images/Crystal.jpg"
This will load the image from the folder when it is run on D, Q or P.

In my office I have one SERVER which has FORMS & Report Server installed and all the clients are accessing that application thru the following URL :
http://OraServer:8889/forms/frmservlet
to get the machine name I have read into a global variable like this
SELECT USERENV('TERMINAL' ) into :global.clientname FROM DUAL;
but obviously all the time its returning the SERVER machine name...not the name where client is accessing the program....so how can I get the client machine name..

Well I am using Developer Suite 10g Release (10.1.2.0.2) ..I've gone thru the link what you have sent me and noticed that whatever updations of conf file or classpath its already there so i guess needn't to modify cause I think my release 10.1.2.0.2 has did already as webutils been bundled with it.
Well What i did is to double click on ATTACH LIBRARY and browse the location to find webutil.pll and finally attached it...even though its showing me all the procedures like clientinfo and others...
on my block's canvas I've put a button and used this trigger to get client info function like this.
when-button-pressed trigger of INFOBUTTON
DECLARE
o_clientinfo varchar2(50) := Webutil_clientinfo.GET_HOST_NAME ;
begin
message(o_clientinfo);
end;
but when I am trying to open this form its simply not showing up..strange thing is that there is no error as well...so plz kindly guide me how to get clientinfo hostname or ipaddress using that library function.

I'd like to get the server name where is my application installed. There are some servers and clients access there throuth the load balancer. When I try to get it with request.getServerName(), I get the virtual address of the load balancer.

depending on the server time and date the client instances recive
different messages.
i looked at date() function on FMS server, but it returns
user PC time ( not FMS server time).......

Look at Class. It has a way to get at all public methods and attributes.
If you need to get to private attributes you can do what the Introspector does and expect the methods to follow the Bean pattern and pull the attributes out based upon that. Privates are all hidden from direct access but through the Bean Pattern they can be figured out.

My client has configured the portal and backend in different stack. So when i execute the FM you provided and with class: CL_HTTP_SERVER, CL_WD_UTILITIES, i am getting only the backend host name and port no. not the portal's info. So please help is there any way we can get the portal's info.
