How to get the folder ID of SAP Inox folder

I want to access the document(mail) which is there in one of the shared folders of SAP inbox through program.
Can anyone suggest me, how to get the folder ID?

Try the FM SO_FOLDER_ROOT_ID_GET for your requirement.

We have an ABAP program that will be exposed in portal as SAP transaction IVIEW. However the username that is being displayed in the report is the username that is defined in SICF > SAP > BC > GUI > ITS > WEBGUI. I tried to remove the username and password defined, changed the procedure to Alternative Logon Procedure and deleted some logon procedure list retained Basic and SSO Authentication but we are getting DDIC username. We have successfully implemented SSO, and it works in Personal Information of Standard ESS. The following are configure in our portal:

2. We are using User Mapping for portal and ABAP System
3. Retain Basic and SSO authentication

Make sure that the System you are using to connect to R3 has Log On Method and Authentication Ticket Type properties has SAP LOGON TKT as the value selected.

How could I get which Reports in discoverer Desktop are using a particular folder in Discoverer Administrator?
Or
How to know which Discoverer Desktop Reports are being derived from a folder in Discoverer Administrator?
We have Oracle 9i DS installed and have a Custom Folder Created in the Administrator, and want to know exactly which Reports/Workbooks are using that folder?

Well Abhijit,
The eul workbooks have been created by oracle specifically to analyze your eul and make your work easier!. So, I prefer this way to view the information about my eul in a report format in the desktop. Try it! you may like it.
If you want you can follow these steps:
Run the script called eul5.sql located in <discoverer_installation_path>\discoverer\util in the user who own the eul in the database.
Then import the eul5.eex file located at <discoverer_installation_path>\discoverer\ in the discoverer administrator.
Then login into desktop and open the reports in the database, you can see a report called[b] EUL Workbook Management. Open that and goto the sheet named Workbook Dependency - Folders & Items Lookup. I think it the last but one worksheet in that workbook.

Hello Sathya,
You can find this through the report RSTBHIST. However for this the system profile parameter rec/client should have that particular client as one of its values or its value should be ALL.
Further if it is customizing data then you can look for the transport request through table E071 and identify the user to whom the request is attributed to.

1. Should we create DT MT MI and all (OR) not
2.In Request DT how the message structure wil be to get the list of materials from sap r/3 system as Response(Ex: Fields in the source structure).
3.Or the second thing is how to get the list of materials start with some alphabate.

 You create your own structres for Request and respoce.. and Map it with RFC..

You have to check the system variable &NEXTPAGE&, if it's 0 it means you're in the last page.
From SAP Help:
This symbol is used to print the number of the following page. The output format is the same as with &PAGE& .
Note that on the last page of the output, in each window that is not of type MAIN, &NEXTPAGE& has the value 0.

The only thing I'm stuck on is how to get the parent folder of anApp. Basically we use several versions of software here that are not easily identifiable by the version attribute. However their enclosing folder has all the versioning info I need (e.g.: MS Excel 04's vers would be 110113, but the enclosing folder is "Microsoft Office 2004", and some departments get Office 2008, Office 2011, etc., so I need a human-friendly way to get the right versions)
I don't know if the "if" statement to check whether the parent is Applications or Utilities is correct as I haven't gotten that far in testing. I'm only interested in getting the parent of apps that have parent folder that is a sub-folder of Applications or Utilities.
Basically what I am trying to do here is write a text file containing all departmental apps, homefolder sizes, relevant partition sizes, etc. and spit it out at the tech responsible for migrating a user to a new mac (display alert is just convenient for testing purposes). In the past we've had too many "missed" items in QC like wrong apps installed, or wrong versions, or data not copied over properly, etc. So this way they can run this on the old system beforehand and the new system after, line everything up and check off if it matches. This is just a snippet...

You can expose the APIs in the Non-SAP backend as Web Services, and consume them in SAP by creating an Enterprise Proxy. Then these can be called just like normal class methods from Web Dynpro.

Hi, I'm new to sap BI Java SDK. I'm not getting how to get the primarykey columns, using BI JDBC Connector (for relational data sources). If anybody knows, please let me know. its very very urgent task to be done in my project. In the below following code.... looks like you are on Infomation Builders, correct? If yes through which adapter and to what DB are you connecting?? in an R3/BW system you can do the folowing:

I found that we can use Interface INavigationHelperService to read Portal Role selected by user at runtime from http://scn.sap.com/thread/52194
But this class is available in SAP NetWeaver 7.30 Enterprise Portal .
But in SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Enterprise Portal that interface is not available.
INavigationService is available there.
But didn't get any proper discussion on this interface for the same requirement.

While making an entry in standard there is a field called documents through which we attach our images in sap.
How to get the path of the image stored with the corresponding order so that the image can be displayed while we are creating a report.
I know how to upload the image while creating a report using docking control.
I am not able to get the path of the image stored...

I am not aware of exactly which tables are used for storing the attached doc. details, but we have worked in the similar requiremnent.
What you can do is .... before uploading the image to any order, try swich on the SQL trace ST05 and after upload switch off.
The log will display what are the tables involved while storing the image. And you can easily find out the image location.

I'm a little confused by the question, but it sounds like you're asking how to count the number of files with a particular extension in a given directory? That's not really an AI SDK question, but it's a fairly easy one to find if you google it. If you're trying to use Illustrator to do it, AI doesn't have a general purpose file API. It has a few functions to do some things that Illustrator needs, but I don't think enumerating directories is one of them.
