How to get the view tree from a jsp page

Hi,
I would like to get the view tree of a jsp page. The idea is to dynamically include the content of one or more jsf pages into a UIPanel during a "value changed" event.
So, i could get from an arbitrary page like ...
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"   prefix="f" %>
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"   prefix="h" %>
<h:panelGrid columns="3" width="100%" rowClasses="gridTop">
    <h:outputText value="#{someBean.someValue}"/>
</h:panelGrid>... the corresponding List of components...

The view tree can be retrieved by this way during the page is parsed, for example with scriptlets <%%>, or once the page has been parsed (the view has been builded and attached to the FacesContext).
My problem is to get the view tree of a page from another Context.
The idea is to build a dynamic layout of some pages that represents "views". I can imagine this like the concept of perspectives and views of Eclipse IDE.
Because of the difficulty to build it with pure JSP (cannot use dynamic ID nor JSTL ForEach), I try to build it into my backing bean and to bind it with a <h:panelGrid/>. By this way, I'm not able to use the <jsp:include/> tag as I usually did to include some content into the view tree.

Hi,
What kind of web page do you have? Do you have possibility to for example make RFCs? Then you could trigger events (with parameters that could "return" the values) and the workflow could react to those events. For example your task can have terminating events.

My primary intention is to convert the JSP form information into a XML file.
If I do not get the Parameter names in the correct order how can I maintain
tag order in XML file.
For ex: (JSP PAGE VIEW)

If I use getParameterNames() to get all the parameter names(Which form the tag names in the XML file ) the Enumeration object it returns will not be in the same order as the text fields in JSP.From this I can not construct a meaningful XML file.

What attribute name was associated to that Button to use in getParameter(?)You have to enter the bean Id, let say the PoHeaderId is a MessageStyleTextInput Bean so have to take its ID from JDev or from front end.

u can use the setDate("3.12.2003") function to set date for this input field.
u just change the id = Date , because in jave we have Date class. rename it to another name..
suppose id = systemDate
<%
Format formater = new SimpleDateFormat("dd.MM.yyyy");
Date syDatum = new Date();
%>
then
put
    systemDate.setDate(formater.format(syDatum));
this will set the date .....

How to get the current tree element (node/childnode/childnode/...) ?

I'm trying to create a kind of a navigation tree for my application.
It should represent some elements of an XML structure and some other nodes for other options.
The binding with the context is not a problem, I can create the tree up to all the levels I want to.
The problem now is, that I don't know, how to get the "current tree element", when there is any action.
For example:
public void onActionSelect(...) {
String test = wdContext.currentTreeNodeElement().getText();
wdThis.wdGetContext().currentContextElement().setSelectedElement(test);
With this method I can get the text of the "first level nodes". If I want to get the "second level node", I can do
String test = wdContext.currentTreeNodeElement().currentChildElement.getText();
..and for the next levels so on.
Isn't there any general method to get the information of the selected element without knowing before, whether it is a nodeElement or a nodeElement.currentChildElement or a nodeElement.currentChildElement.currentChildElement, ...?

Any body tell me how to get the view object , like the view object avilable in the wdDoModifyView() method as parameter.
I have requirement like, i want to change the , no of rows displaying in the table should be changed at the runtime based onthe no of rows selected in the dropdown box.
The action which i created will be assigned to that dropdown box, on select of the available option, i will get the view object and change the properties of the "maxrows" of the table .
so for getting the view object in the the Action methods tell me what is the procedure for getting the current view object.

Simply create a value attribute (say rowCount) of type 'integer' and bind it to the 'visibleRowCount' property of your table. Then, in the actionHandler get the value from the UI element (in your case, I guess it is drop down) and set it to the attribute 'rowCount' like this.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been playing around with some of the classes of the java.net package and java.io
Using the URL class i can get the content of the data from a STATIC page and output that response to file so that is does not display to the client broswer.
But this only works if the URL i give points to a static html page.
So the problem i'm getting is if i'm righting in arguments in the URL, this means that server needs to process the arguments i give and its sends back a dynamic result. Because its dynamic the URL class can not handle this and throws me an exception everytime :(
Have u ever tried to do some things like this?

I want to use database version control in my application . that means different database type use different Sql Statement. Such as in weblogic7.0 if I create SqlServer JDBC pool then I will use some special Sqlserver sql Statement . such as some join statement. If I create Oralce JDBC pool then I have to use different Sql statement . because these two database support different Sql statement.
What my question is how to get the database type from the connection.

For a normal jdbc driver you can use
Connection.getMetaData()
To get the meta data, in particular the getDatabase...() methods.
That might or might not work.
However, at the very least in the server you have access to the weblogic properties so you can parse the pool property to figure it out.

Sure others will have some other ideas, but here's what I typically do to get the XML from a JMS queue. Inside the Global Automatic that pops the messages off the queue you'd have logic similar to this:
artifactInfoNodes as Any[]
xmlObject as Fuego.Xml.XMLObject = XMLObject()
load xmlObject using xmlText = message.textValue
. . . Once you have this, it's a matter of deciding what you want to do with the message. Most times you'll parse the XML (using XPATH statemens), set argument variables and create a work item instance.
