How to go about creating a schedule grid.
Hello,
I want to create a scheduling program and I am not sure how to go about it. I am hoping you can point me in the right direction.
I want to create a scheduling program where it would be a rows and columns. The columns would be the days of the week and the rows would be the hours within in that day. Here is what I am talking about http://i45.tinypic.com/10o32bm.png Underneath the columns would be people that are available to make an appointment with on that day and hour. If the person is available during that day and hour the cell would be white and when you click on it another window would pop up and you can enter in your information to create the appointment....if they are not available then it would be black and so and so. I want to be able to store this information using whichever database is simpler....I am considering MySQL, but if you guys think otherwise I'd appreciate your input....
Thank You.
Jay.
You can do this with a JTable in your GUI, as for your DB, it really does not matter what DB you choose. Anything from the Java DB to Oracle and anything in between will work. Using a DB will give you an easier time than using a flat file.

Need guidance on how to go about creating such a program...
Hello
I am working on a bonus project for one of my courses. However, I am a bit lost.... I just dont know how to go about doing it. I mean, I have some ideas but I am SURE there is a more elegant way of doing it.
Option 1
1) Design a visual tool that will allow the user to interactively create a syntax graph.
2) The tool will then convert the syntax graph to Extended BNF
Option 2
1) Design a tool to read Extended BNF grammar and convert it into syntax graph.
I am leaning on doing Option 2.... any insights will be much appreciated.Hi Ade,
1. First off SHTEST and SHDISC schemas should reside on the same database. 2. You have to create end user layer in your SHDISC schema (you should give the rights required) using Discoverer Administrator tool. EUL tables get created in SHDISC schema.
3. Using Discoverer Administrator you need to pull the structures from SHTEST. Once you open your Discoverer Administrator, you will see a little window with "Administration Tasklist".
Anyways, the best place to get information related to this is from Discoverer Administration Guide. Then you might want to checkout the details on reporting tool Discoverer Plus/Discoverer Viewer or Discoverer Desktop based on what you choose for building your reports.
Hope this helps,

How are deliveries automatically created from scheduling agreement?
How are deliveries automatically created from the schedule line of the scheduling agreement? Can anybody explain this step by step? Can we use the code VL10BATCH for this purpose? If we can, how is this code used?
Thanks in advance.hi
A customer scheduling agreement is an outline agreement with the customer containing delivery quantities and dates. These are then entered as schedule lines in a delivery schedule. You can either create schedule lines when you create the scheduling agreement or you can create them later.
You fulfill a scheduling agreement by creating the deliveries in the schedule as they become due. You process deliveries for a scheduling agreement in exactly the same way as you process a normal delivery. After you have carried out the delivery, the system updates the Delivered quantity field in the scheduling agreement item with the delivery quantity.
The scheduling agreement is used as a basis for delivering a material. The customer sends in scheduling agreement releases, referred to as delivery schedules, at regular intervals to release a quantity of the material.
Document Types
To configure document types for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Header -> Define sales document types in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The R/3 System contains the following document types for component suppliers:
LZ - Scheduling agreement with delivery schedules (no external agents)
LZM - Scheduling agreement with delivery orders
LK - Scheduling agreement with delivery schedules (external agents)
ED - Delivery by external agent (consignment issue)
EDKO - External agent correction
RZ - Scheduling agreement returns (no external agents)
KAZU - Consignment pick-up for external agents
KRZU - Consignment returns for external agents
Item Categories
To configure item categories for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Item -> Define item categories in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The system determines the following item categories for the related document types in
documents containing materials with item category group NORM:
Item category LZN for scheduling agreement type LZ
Item category LZMA for scheduling agreement type LZM
Item category LKN for scheduling agreement type LK
Item category KEN for document type ED
Item category EDK for positive corrections (or the manual alternative EDK1 for
negative corrections) for document type EDKO
Item category REN for document type RZ
Item category KAN for document type KAZU
Item category KRN for document type KRZU
Schedule Line Categories
To configure schedule line categories for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Schedule lines -> Define or Assign schedule line categories in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The R/3 System contains the following schedule line categories for component suppliers:
L1, BN, L2, and CN for item category LZN
E4, E0, E5, and BN for item category LKN
L2 for item category LZMA (standard for delivery order processing)
Schedule Line Types
To configure schedule line types for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Scheduling Agreements with Delivery Schedules -> Define schedule line types in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
Creating Scheduling Agreements
To create a scheduling agreement with delivery schedules:
1. In the Sales menu http://Ext. choose Scheduling agreement ->Create.
2. Enter scheduling agreement type LK (standard) or LZ (external agents) and the
relevantorganizational data.
3. Choose ENTER.
4. Enter the following data:
Sold-to or ship-to party number
Purchase order or closing number
Material or customer material number
You can use the Description field to identify the scheduling agreement. For
example,
you could enter the model year for a particular production series.
The system allows up to 35 digits for a customer material number.
Rounding quantity
Usage
Choose Goto -> Header -> Sales to enter the usage at header level, or Goto ->
Item-> Sales A to enter it at item level. The system proposes usage S, for series, as default in both cases.
Planning indicator
Choose Goto -> Header ->Sales.
Target quantity
Mark an item and choose Goto -> Item -> Sales A
Partners
For scheduling agreements with external agents , choose Goto -> Header
->Partners to enter the external agent as forwarding agent and special stock partner
on the partner function screen.
5. Create a delivery schedule
Mark an item in the scheduling agreement and choose Goto -> Item -> <Delivery
schedule>. Enter:
A delivery schedule number and date
The cumulative quantity received by the customer
The last delivery confirmed by the customer
A schedule line with date, time, and quantity
To enter additional data in the delivery schedule, choose DlvSch.Hdr (delivery schedule header).
configuration:
img->SD->Sales->sales document->scheduling agreements with delivery schedules->
step1: define schedule line types
schedule line types are not schedule line categories. Schedule line types are used for information purpose only.
stds are 1. fixed date 2. backlog 3. immediate requirement
4. estimate
step2: maintain planning delivery sched. instruct/splitting rules
The planning delivery schedule is an internal delivery schedule used to plan requirement s more efficiently. It is sub divided into 3 parts
2.1 delivery schedule splitting rules
2.2 dly schedule instrusctions
2.3 assign dly schedule splitting rules
step3: define sales documents type
step4 : define item categories
step5: define schedule line categories
step6: maintain copy control
PROCESS
step1: create scheduling agreement
VA31
enter SP,SH valid from, valid to,
goto ITEM OVERVIEW tab
enter material, rouding qty
select ITEM click on FORECAST DLSCH
enter different dly dates and qties
save it.
step2: create sales order with reference to above
step3: create delivery
step4: create billing

How to go about creating a Motion Comic?
What would i need to learn specifically from Photoshop and After Effects? I am a newbie in both Photoshop and After Effects and I am looking into learning the basics of both of them..but once I learn the basics is their anything advanced i need to know to achieve good quality camera movements/effects? I read a comment about parallaxing in AE and the clone tool in Photoshop etc. Also can Google sketchup be used to create environments to go into AE? Thank you to any comments.
If you are completely new to Photoshop and After Effects and you want to create something like the video you pointed us to in your second post and you already possess the illustrating skills (ability to draw one of those scenes with a pencil) then I would guess that you need about 4 to 6 months of training on a part time basis or a full month of 10 hour days. There are dozens of techniques in each frame from color correction to puppet pin and hand drawn animation.
I would suggest a Lynda.com subscription and then pick the tutorials that look like they cover some of the techniques you will need to use. Don't expect to be successful if you do not start with the basic workflow and explanation of the UI. There is no single plug-in or effect that will do what you want to do with the click of a mouse.
I would also go to a book store and look at and buy any books you can find on the techniques of animation and illustration. Reproducing your sample video is not a weekend project that can be covered in a couple of simple tutorials. -
I need advice on how to go about creating objects in discoverer.
I have a schema shtest that contain all the tables I am going to use in Discoverer. However a new schema shdisc is going to be use for discoverer. My question is
1. Should I create views based on these tables in shdisc or
2. grant select on shtest to shdisc and reference these tables in discoverer?
Initially, I created synonyms in shdisc, but these are not visible in discoverer. However, when I created views in shdisc, am able to see these objects in discoverer but am not convince this is a good way. In essence, I created all tables in shtest as views in shdisc. Please advice.Hi Ade,

Hi Experts,
I dont about ALV grid and how to implement it.So can anyone let me know how to implement the simple basic ALV grid with example?
Please explain me with set by step procedure.
Thanks a lot in Advance,
Regards,
Raghuhi,
Process to create ALV with OOPs:
Step 1:
Create a container. There are 2 type of containers: docking and custom.
Go to SE38.Create a program. Use Pattern button to create object for docking container. Click ABAP Object Pattern radio button. Click Create object radio button. Give Instance as o_docking and class as cl_gui_docking_contianer.
Step 2:
Create a grid inside the container.
Use Pattern button to create the same. Make the parent of grid as container.
Click ABAP Object Pattern radio button. Click Create object radio button. Give Instance as o_grid and class as cl_gui_alv_grid. Create object o_grid.
Step 3:
Call the function lvc_fieldcatalog_merge to get the field catalog.
Pass the structure name.
Step 4:
Call the method of grid set_table_for_first_display to display the output.
Click ABAP Object Pattern radio button. Click Call Method radio button. Give Instance as o_grid and Class/Interface as cl_gui_alv_grid and Method as set_table_for_first_display.

Call method o_grid->set_table_for_first_display
Step 5:
Fill the internal table itab with values by using logic.
select * from mara into table itab up to 100 rows.
call screen 9000.
Create a screen by double clicking 9000 in the above line. Fill the description for the screen. In the flow logic, uncomment the PBO and PAI module and create those in main program (for simplicity).
Step 6:
Create GUI status. Create GUI Title if required. That can be done by using display object List (CtrlShiftF5).Then in left side, right click the program and create GUI Status and Title.
Step 7:
Free the memory occupied once the BACK, EXIT or CANCEL button is clicked. Use Pattern button to call the method FREE of cl_gui_alv_grid and cl_gui_docking_container.
Click ABAP Object Pattern radio button. Click Call Method radio button. Give Instance as o_grid and Class/Interface as cl_gui_alv_grid and Method as Free.

How to create a schedule to run once?
I am having some problems getting a schedule to run only once. If I leave the repeat_interval empty, the schedule does not run at all. The documentation explains all the options for setting the repeat frequency, but it does not explain how to run it only once at a set time/date. I have created a user interface to allow the users to create their own schedules and I'd rather not do something like a "yearly" interval with an end date of next week. I need the generic solution.
Any ideas?Hi Ravi,
Thanks for your reply!
I have just discovered something very interesting! best explained by example:
(I might log an SR through metalink too. I'll be sure to update this thread with the outcome...)
I create 3 schedules and 3 simple jobs:
schedule 1 - start_date in 2 minutes time (eg. 11:30:00), repeat_interval => null
schedule 2 - start_date in 2 minutes, 20 seconds time (eg. 11:30:20), repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY'
schedule 3 - start_date in 2 minutes, 40 seconds time (eg. 11:30:40), repeat_interval => null
jobs 1, 2 and 3 just insert a row into a table through a PL/SQL block.
My test results are as follows:
1. The first time these schedules are created only schedule 2 runs. Schedules 1 and 3 never run.
2. I drop and re-create all schedules and jobs, (adjusting the time to a few minutes in the future) and re-submit the schedules and jobs and they all run. I can continue this as many times as I like now and the repeat_interval of null will now work fine.
3. re-start the 10gR2 database.
4. re-create the schedules and jobs and only schedule 2 runs again. Schedules 1 and 3 never run. (I'm back at step 1!! I can reproduce this problem anytime by following these steps)
My script is below:
declare
start_datetime__w timestamp(3) with time zone;
repeat_interval__w varchar2(200);
begin
* REPEAT INTERVAL NULL TEST
* TIM_SCHED_2_1 - no repeat interval
* TIM_SCHED_2_2 - a repeat interval
* TIM_SCHED_2_3 - no repeat interval (identical to TIM_SCHED_2_1)
* Results on my 10gR2 database (Redhat Enterprise Linux 4.4) are:
* job 2 will always run
* jobs 1 and 3 will only run after the successful run of job2 AND jobs 1 and 3 have been re-created
* Why?
* It seems the scheduler needs a wakeup call!!!
* test table: create table tim (col1 varchar2(30), col2 date);
-- Cleanup previous jobs:
--dbms_scheduler.drop_job (job_name => 'TIM_JOB_2_1');
--dbms_scheduler.drop_schedule (schedule_name => 'TIM_SCHED_2_1');
--dbms_scheduler.drop_job (job_name => 'TIM_JOB_2_2');
--dbms_scheduler.drop_schedule (schedule_name => 'TIM_SCHED_2_2');
--dbms_scheduler.drop_job (job_name => 'TIM_JOB_2_3');
--dbms_scheduler.drop_schedule (schedule_name => 'TIM_SCHED_2_3');
repeat_interval__w := 'FREQ=DAILY';
-- create schedule TIM_SCHED_2_1, repeat_interval__w = null

Someone used my email address to create an Apple ID. I logged in to appleid.apple.com and I changed the password because it is freaking me out. I want to report it to Apple but dont know how to go about it. I want the Apple ID deleted. How do I go about that? Is there also a way to ensure that the email address wont be used again by this person to create another Apple ID?
This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. It is probably one of them who created the Apple ID.Contact iTunes support: https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action

Firefox is refusing to start. It says that my profile is missing, which it appears to be. Yet the way in which one goes about creating a new profile wont' work either. Anybody have a bloody clue what's going on and how to fix it?
AIR give you classes to detect an on-line or off-line status, it's in
this way for the sake of flexibility for instance what happens if you
only what to sync data only on Saturdays at 2 am? If it were done
automatically that'll be a problem. And it isn't so complicated.
You can download the SalesBuilder from AIR examples at www.adobe.com/devnet/air
it's an application that does everything you have in mind.
I don't understand your question abou file types.
An AIR app can communicate with almost every backend served tech
CF, .Net, PHP, RoR.

Sorry but I don't quiet understand. I thought AIR did the updating
automatically? I didn't realise the developer had to program the
logic of how the updates take place? Is it a case in most AIR apps
that when online the app updates the server and once every intervel
(of however long) the local SQLite DB is synced to the more updated
server DB. Then when offline the developer has to sense that the app
is offline and store a log manually of the updates without any help
from AIR itself, and then update once it comes online again?

Can AIR link to anything more than a database on the server side
apart from webservices, for example .as files or any other file types?

How to create a scheduled process
Hi all,
I'd like to create a (WLI) process that would run once
a day at 12:00 noon. Outside of WLI, I could easily use
SpringFramework/Quartz to create a scheduled task that's
equivalent to such a WLI process. But with WLI (8.1),
I've had a very hard time to create such a process.
I'd much appreciate if anyone could give a high level
steps how to do it. Thank you kindly in advance.

Nam,
You can create a scheduled process in WLI.Here are the steps:
Create a channel file and uncomment the timerEvent section in weblogic workshop
Create a timer event generator with details like time of triggering,frequency,channel file etc in Weblogic Integration Admin Console(http://<serverName>:<ServerPort>/wliconsole.
Create a process file in workshop and select the option which subscribes to event generators.

Hi I need your guidance on how I should go about setting up my Excel 2013 reports so that others in our Project Online 2013 environment can access and updates these reports of mine.
My questions are as follows:
I presume I need to create and save my ODC files in a PWA > Data Connections folder. I have English and French users in our environment. Do I need save them twice? Once in the French and again in the English Data Connections folder?
Likewise for the Excel file?
How should I go about creating my ODC files within Excel? By default, the ODC files are being created on my PC's > My Documents > My Data Sources folder. I presume I need to get them saved or exported to the PWA > Data Connections
folder. So, How should I be going about creating and saving and/ or exporting the ODC files???
FYI...My oData Feeds that I wish to use and join in this particular Excel file are as follows:

Thanks in advance,
\Spiro Theopoulos PMP, MCITP. Montreal, QC (Canada)Thank you Guilaume. May I ask you to help clarify a bit more for me? If I have to do it for both languages (the reports and ODC files), do I simply copy the same ODC files from e.g., the English to French folder in PWA (Odc files)? Or does
that defeat the purpose? Or, do I need to create a new set of oData Feed Connection files with a French version of Excel 2013 and save them to the French Data Connections folder in PWA? Do I need to have a French version of Excel 2013 to create
French ODC files and ultimately French based reports and/ or vice versa?
I did notice that the following oData metadata command from within a browser produces different results (ie., English versus French metadata returned) depending on who runs it (i.e., French or English user, etc). As you can see I am a bit confused.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

How to create an occupancy grid map
I am using a LIDAR sensor (URG-04LX) to map an environment for DaNI 1.0 in LabVIEW Robotics 2010 module. I want to create an occupancy grid map of the environment to use for path planning purposes. Can anyone provide me with any assistance. I have looked at the examples for path planning using the A* technique on an occupancy grid but I don't understand how to create the occupancy map.
... everyone above as told you how to create and LABVIEW occupancy map.... using an occupancy map.
The labview VI assumes you know exactly what the envrioment is like. Meaning you pretty much have some representation of the enviroment.
What you want to know is how do I generate and occupancy map using a laserscanner. For this you would need something called SLAM. Simultaneous localisation and Mapping. In order generate an occupancy map you need to continously localise your system so you can map laser measurements with refference to a fixed refferece frame, you then have to localise with respect to your map and repeat. This is non-trivial !
unfortuently there is no LabviewVi to do this for you, and there is not much working example code. So honestly if you want to do this, i would use a robotic development framework call ROS and using gmapping (which is a SLAM package). Alternatively if you inist on using labview you could create a dll of the gmapping (open source libary) and call it from labview, Our you could try to implement it from scratch yourself....
I just wish it was easier to use opensource libaries like pcl,opencv and integrate with textbased langauges using a labview system... it would make labview so much better, but labview robotics i feels is not really a good robotic application framework comapared to alternatives like ROS which have much bigger communities and much more modules of code you can use... escpecially for SLAM
https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-22790 this is the best i have managed to find ( they do implement SLAM for this)
