How to Group documents for Contracts solution

Hi
I'm looking at creating an area to hold contract information. Basically, I need to hold a few related contract documents with metadata.
I think I can have one metadata row with essential info and then associate files that form a single contract.
A List with attachments sounds ideal for this scenario but I've heard that this can cause complications later. Mentioned here:

I would say dont use attachments. Since you are using SP 2010 use Document Set. Document set will allow you to do what you trying to achieve. Read more about document set below.

  • Objectclass for change documents for contracts using condition record no.

    I want the changes for price, Price per and currency for contract based on the info record number and contion record number.
    Presently i am using object class is COND_A. But if user changes  multiple times price, price per and currency by deleting existing price  and created new price or price per or currency, this case it is saving only latest data based on the change document.
    I want to change the logic as based on the change document, i will display the all changes of price, price per and Currency.
    Could you suggest object class for this?

    I think what you are looking for is to generate Business Area wise Balance Sheet. In Transaction code OB65, against the Company Code for which Business Area Balance Sheet is required - select the check box.

    Greetings everyone,
    After a long time brought a query for you people. I have a query(using group by also) such that it fetches record in following form
    COLUMN_1         COLUMN_2(%)
    C1                       30
    C2                       40
    C3                       20
    C4                        5
    C                         5Now, I need to display everything in Report as below
    COLUMN_1         COLUMN_2(%)
    C1                       30
    C2                       40
    C3                       20
    C                        10
    Now what happened is all those records for which value of COLUMN_2 is less than some value(say 10 - basically will be picked from some other table) then it should get sum up in a record named as 'C' ( if already exists) else new record named as 'C' should get created with the sum of all such values.
    Problem is - My query is already quite complicated so somehow it is difficult to do so in query itself but do BI Publisher provide me any functionality so that such kind of grouping of data can be done ? Also I need to make a bar graph also out if it.
    Any kind of help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    Am sure, you will be hit road block somewhere else, if you don't do this in the Query.
    Make it easier with the query , rather than BIP.
    You can make the current query as the inline table and do a group based on sum. and decode the column1 name.
    It will save you lot of time.

  • How to copy documents for InfoProvider data from one cube to another cube

    Hello Everyone,
    We are using standard document feature to store document/comment about the data shown in the report/planning query. Relevant characteristics have the property 'characteristics is document attrib' turned on/selected for this purpose.
    Looks like the documents created gets tagged to a particular InfoProvider along with characteristic value assignment.
    Is there a way to move or copy documents from one InfoProvider to another InfoProvider.
    As per the design requirement, we need to move data from a real time InfoProvider (transaction cube) to a basic reporting cube. The data in the first/source cube stays for a period of approx 3 months before moved to other cube. We want the documents associated with InfoProvider data also to be moved, so that users can continue to see the document/comments what they  had created earlier.  
    I looked at the Documents tab in DataWarehouse workbench. No options seem to be available to copy or move documents.
    Any help will be highly appreciated and points will be rewarded accordingly!

    Hi Bhaskar,
    Assuming you have full authorisations, the procedure is simple.
    Please go SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN transaction.
    From the menu please select Project -> Copy
    In the ensuing screen, key in your desired project name, scroll through the other checkboxes to see if you are happy with the default choices; if not, take corrective actions.
    In the last set of radi buttons "Desired behaviour at later version comparison", the default choice (2nd entry there - Adjust target project to the original of the source project) is fine.
    From your scenario, since you do not have a Template -> Implementation Project functionality and instead are copying from one Implementation to the other, this radio button is of little consequence.
    Execute the process.
    In the window that comes up, please choose Local Object, assuming that you do not want to capture the whole contents into a 'Transport'. This is more required if you are aiming to copy the project from one SolMan instance to another.
    It would give an information message "Generating in batch job (Name ......)
    In a few minutes, you'd receive an intimation of the Project being copied.
    That's pretty much about it. Have a check on the newly created project in SOLAR01.
