How to have a mandotory field in a standard screen.

Hi,
i need to have the field VERAK_USER-CSKSZ (User Responsible) as mandatory in transaction KS01/KS02 and KS12.
does anyone know how to proceed with this issue?

Once u have Access Key to change the code..
check for any screen exits available for this... otherwise u need Acces key....consult BASIS guy...
Double click on screen number.
go to Element list Tab.
go to Special Attributes TAB.
In that Input Column for VERAK_USER-CSKSZ field provide it as Recommended. then it will be Mandatory.

Follow the documentation of Logistics - General->Material Master->Configuring the Material Master->Create Program for Customized Subscreens to add the new field in material master.
Create Program for Customized Subscreens
In this IMG activity, you can create a function group of your own by copying function group MGD1 (for industry) or function group MGD2 (for retail). The subscreens are not copied, except for two subscreens which are copied for technical reasons. You can use this copy to create subscreens of your own which you can assign to a data screen in the activity Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence.
Requirements
Be sure to read the program documentation first.
Activities
1. Create a function group of your own by choosing Execute.
2. Enter a name containing up to 25 characters, beginning with the letter Y or Z, and choose Save.
3. Access the Object Navigator.
You do this from the SAP standard menu by choosing Tools -> ABAP Workbench, and then Object Navigator.
4. Display either program SAPLMGD1 (industry) or SAPLMGD2 (retail) as required.
5. Copy the subscreens as required, ensuring that they already contain as many as possible of the field names you want to use in your function group. You do this as follows:
a) Choose Screens, position the cursor on the corresponding subscreen, and choose Copy in the context menu.
b) Enter the program to which you want to copy the subscreen, prefixing it with SAPL, and enter a screen number. Use the screen number of the original subscreen where possible. If the F1 help is specific to a particular subscreen, this ensures that this context-specific help continues to be displayed.
Example
You have called your function group YENTERPRISE, to which you want to copy subscreen SAPLMGD1 2301. Enter SAPLYENTERPRISE as the program to which the subscreen is to be copied, and enter (preferably) 2301 as the screen number.
6. Return to the initial screen of the Object Navigator and display your program. In the example above, you would enter SAPLYENTERPRISE.
7. Choose Update object list.
8. Select the subscreen you have copied and activate it by choosing Activate in the context menu.
Using the Screen Painter, you can remove fields you do not require on the subscreen or include additional fields from other subscreens (see the ABAP Dictionary). For information on the Screen Painter, see the SAP library documentation BC ABAP Workbench Tools.
Points to consider when removing or adding fields
Make sure that a field statement exists for each field on the subscreen since data may not otherwise be transported correctly. You can use subscreen SAPLMGD1 2002 as an example.
For the fields you have added, include any check modules and modules for self-programmed F4 help that are called up for these fields on the original subscreen. You can do this by displaying the flow logic for the original subscreen and searching for such modules. They normally have the same names as the fields themselves. When you find a module, copy the corresponding module call to your subscreen.
If you change the order in which fields are transported that are checked together in the flow logic (such as the safety stock and minimum safety stock), you must deactivate the check module for the first field and activate it for the second. The system would otherwise transport the first field, and carry out the check before the second field is transported.
Any error messages that fields are unknown when activating the subscreen are due to the fields still being included in checks, even though you have removed the fields from the subscreen. Search for the fields in the source code and make the lines in which they appear comment lines. Then reactivate the screen.
9. Assign the subscreen to a data screen as required.

Use the Workbench Organizer to transport the copy you have created.

I have mapped the fields on the selection-screen to the BDC on transaction F110.
When I am selecting a particular any value in select-option on the selection screen, it is giving some default value and the value given by me,for example:
Payment methods:C
but in BDC recording for F110 Payment methods:IEQC when the programs is running in foreground mode.
how can I rectify it?

This is because payment methods may be a table and what you see IEQC is actually, I for include, EQ for equal and C as your payment method. This is standard structure for ranges or select-options. You can use variable-low which will give you only C.

One field in a standard screen not showing.. why??

Hi all.
I want to be able to see a field in a standard screen. It is usually there but here they have hidden it using some configuration. Where do I configure it to show/unhide again? I see the field is there in the screen's layout but it is not showing when i go to that screen via its t-code.
Details:
field SCAC on control section of tcode xk03.
Please help me show this field/unhide this field.

Hello Charles,
The Fields that can be displayed/changed/modified/suppressed depends upon the way Vendor groups are customized in SPRO. I assume that u haven't change the standard screen via coding. If u have not then what you can do is to go in SPRO-->Financial Accounting->Vendor Account-->Master Records->Preperation for creating Vendor master records. Select the Acccount group with Screen layout. Select the vendor Group and double click. Once in next screeen , Go to field Status , double click 'General Data' and then go to control. There Check the property of the fileld that you have mentioned. Hope this helps.

Hi Buantoa ,
You can use a search help exit for the same , so when ever a user does not enter the mandatory feild and tries to execute the serach help an error message will be displayed.
Create a search help exit for your search help and write code to check for your feild.

How to add a Custom field in the Standard SAP Sales Order main screen

Dear Experts,
We have a requirement of adding a Custom field in the Sales Order screen. I know how to add the Customer field in the Additional data B tab of the Sales Order Header Screen as that is the screen user exit provided by SAP. Can someone tell me how to add the Custom field in the Sales Order main screen. Program Name - SAPMV45A and Screen Number - 4001. What is all I need to take care.

How to populate custom table field value into standard DFF

I have a requirement to populate the custom table field value into standard DFF. we enabled the DFF in ReqDistDFFOnAcct(po_req_distributions_all). On the requisition tab as soon as i click on the checkout button, the custom field value has to be shown in the requisition distributions DFF field along with the standard Columns like charge account, percent, qty and when we click on the next button, it has to hit the base table ie., po_req_distributions_all.
the standard columns data is showing the screen. how to acheive this requirement programatically
There is a EO for the req distributions table. please help me how to achevie this requirement.

Finally i made some progress....but i am getting an error in the inst_top OPMN folder 10/10/08 15:37:14 Error: <connector name="OracleASjms" path="OracleASjms.rar" /> will not be bootstrapped since corresponding module declaration was not found in application.xml. I cleared the cache, bounced the webserver. Could not able to understand what is this error

If you are designing your own LDB with your own tables you can define tree structure and then the selection screen for the tables
if you wants to modify the std LDB of SAp means take the access key and to modify that code
if you add the extra field you have to modify the where conditions in the code also

How to edit the attributes of a SAP standard screen?

i would like to ask if it is possible to edit the attributes (particularly the language) of a SAP standard screen without using any access key? if yes, how would i be able to apply the changes?

Hi,
Screen attributes are stored in table D020S. You can update this table using ABAP code. The language is stored in field SPRA of this table. The texts appearing on the screen are in D020T.
It is likely you will not be allowed aa data modification statement (INSERT/UPDATE...) on these tables if you are on newer versions of SAP (46/47...). You can bypass that by using native SQL and some other workaround (which might be another thread here).
It is most strongly recommended to not modify SAP standard objects, and specially not without an object key. However, if you are working on something like a miniSAP and want to play around with it, the method mentioned above shall do.

1- Go to Transaction SPRO>Logistics>
General>Business Partner>Customer Control-->
Adoption of Customeru2019s own Master Data field->
Prepare Modification-->Free enhancement of Customer Master Record.
2-Go to CHANGE mode and Click u2018New Entriesu2019 button.
Then add a Screen Group and meaningful description.
Save the entry and then SELECT that entry and
Click on u2018Label Tab Pagesu2019.
3-Add a Label Tab Page i.e. enter a Screen Number,
Function Code and Meaningful Description.
Save the entry and come back to the SPRO screen.
Click Business Add-in: Processing Master Data Enhancements
4-Create one Implementation by giving implementation name .
5-Go to Interface and Click on
u2018CHECK_ADD_ON_ACTIVEu2019 method.
Add thus code and save
