How to hide dynamic selection fields in variants

hi,
When a selection variant is saved, we have the option to 'hide' a selection field. That field may contain a value, but it is not shown on the selection screen. There is, however, a button that will display these hidden field when required.
Is it possible to do this also with dynamic selection fields ?
The column 'Hide field' is shown in the variant atttributes screen, but it is not active.

First off, is the Dynamic Selection working? If so, try the following code.. I am assuming, you only want to look at Permanent Address.
tables: pernr.
infotypes: 0001,0006.
start-of-selection.
get pernr.
rp-provide-from-last p0001 space pn-begda pn-endda.
check pnp-sw-found eq 1.
rp-provide-from-last p0006 1 pn-begda pn-endda.
check pnp-sw-found eq 1.

Could you please help how to hide the select-option fields in webdynpro
there are four radio buttons
for every radiobutton there is corresponding the select_option filed is associated to it
user as only provision select one radio button and reset of the select-option fileds should be hidden
which ever the radio button is selected corresponding the select-options fileld should be displayed

To hide select options you should use interface method REMOVE_SELECTION_SCREEN_ITEM of IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS.
Sample code :
Write the below code in the Event handler of Radio Button.
DATA lv_r_helper_class TYPE REF TO if_wd_select_options.
lv_r_helper_class = lo_interfacecontroller->init_selection_screen(
lv_r_helper_Class->REMOVE_SELECTION_SCREEN_ITEM(exporting i_id = 'Select_option1_id1').
This will hide first select option of your screen.Similarly pass select_option_id2 to hide it and so on.

HR - dynamic selections field name and field value in the program

HI all,
I am using dynamic selections for a HR report.
I have created a view with 20 fields and added it to HR report category ___00003(All fields suppressed).
I need to check these fields in the program. But i am not able to get the field name and value in the program for dynamic selections fields.
Please let me know how to get the field names and values in the program for dynamic selections .

You have to read the itab <i>pnpdynse</i> in your Program to obtain the Dynamic Selection values. This itab has a deep structure.. you can set a break point in one of the events before <b>get pernr</b> & in the debug mode, you will able to display the itab <i>pnpdynse</i>.. you can then identify how to get the values into your code..

How to Hide the Parameter field at run time....

I have a parameter field which behaves differently depending on the User logged in.
It has the LOV coming from following SQL.
SELECT customer_name FROM Cust_mast;
If the user = 'INTERNAL' then the Where clause will be
WHERE cust_id in('DELL', 'SBC', 'BANK')
Else there will be no WHERE clause or the parameter field
should be hidden in the parameter form.
So my questions are:
1) How to hide the Parameter field during Run time?

2) How to change the LOV select statement during Run time?

Is there any way to play with the sql query SELECT using DECODE ?I'm not sure of this part, maybe someone else can suggest a way.
However, what you want can be done in 2 other ways:
1. Build 2 reports. Both reports will just be duplicates of each other, only difference being that the 'LoV where clause' will be different. Now you can fire the appropriate report in many ways. For example, if the customer is alreay logged inside your custom application, and therefore you already know whether the user is internal of external, you can design your button or link which launches the report to contain logic such that one of the 2 reports is fired depending on who the user is.
1. Use a JSP parameter form, not a paper parameter form In this case, just build an HTML parameter form in the web source of your report. Use Java logic to populate the LoV drop-down list. When you have to launch the final report, just launch the paper-layout of the report. For example (you will have to modify this):

Is it possible to display only dynamically selected fields in the out put? i need to display set of columns in the selection criteria, but in the output i have display only input given fields. because i need to convert it into .csv file. So i have to display selected fields from internal table. In oracle they are using"execute immediate". is there any equivalent in SAP?

If yes, there are concepts like RTTS which facilitates it.
Yes, the select query also supports dynamic selection of fields. ( Please care about ( ) in dynamic sql ).
Do more research on Field Symbols and statements like ASSIGN COMPONENT OF.

can anybode tell me how to pass dynamic selection to the logical database when i m using LDB_PROCESS function module. however, in EXPRESSIONS paramter of the function module i m passing the selecti-option, it is passing their also but when i used more than two select-option or paramter it throw an exception FREE_SELECTIONS_ERROR.
SO PLEASE GUIDE ME HOW TO PASS MORE THAN TWO SELECT-OPTION IN LOGICAL DATANSE DYNAMICALLY USING LDB_PROCESS.

I have downloaded and read the "How To" document: Dynamic selection for InfoSpoke & Use InfoSpoke Badi to correct KYF format

Can anyone who has got the txt file link it here please or suggest a program that would dynamicaly change the infospoke selections?
Actualy i'm not interested in having an input screen for filling the variable value, i just want to get the value from an ODS

For ex: I have 3 field created in JSP

END DATE
If the user = 'SUPER show all the parameter

END DATE
If the user is 'GATEKEEPER" Just show
PROVIDER
FROM DATE
END DATE
Can I do that?

hi, i'm not familiar much with JSP. but i think workaround is to create two window one which have 4 fields and the other which have 3. if user is SUPER then call the first screen otherwise if user is GATEKEEPER then call the second screen.

If I understood your question correctly, you are talking about the dynamic selection used in reports ( For eg. ME2N). The field which are appearing in dynamic selection shows the field values. ( you can press F4 and check the field values).

The problem is...In all three t.codes I am having dynamic selection icon. user wants, selection is based on my custom fields...How to get my custom fileds on the selection screen?

How can i dynamically select columns based on the input parameter?

I have an input parameter which takes single numeric value.
Based on this value i have to dynamically select table-columns .
For eg: if i have following fields in my table :
SEM_1
SEM_2
SEM_3 and SEM_4.
And if i give numeric input as 2 , then i have to select "SEM_2" column only.
if the input is 3 then i have to select "SEM_3" only and leave the rest of the columns.
how do i achieve this dynamic feature in the "Select ..... From...... table...." statement in the ABAP??

How to get dynamic select options from logical database?

Hi,
in one of my extended reports (means - overwritten standard SAP functionality in Z-namespace) I'm using LDB 'DDF'. I've been requested to validate some of the dynamic selection options (for example - field HKONT at Document level) and to split the logic depending on the particular value(s).
Tracking what is happened in the LDB program I found that this select option is added as dynamic WHERE clause to the SELECT statement - in a way:
WHERE bukrs = p_burks AND ... AND
(where_tab)
Is there a way to get values of these LDB dynamic select options into my report and if yes - how?

How to build dynamic select query

Using the ZCO_SETTLE_CHK-REC_FIELD and DISTRIBUTION_RULE-KONTY write a dynamic select single query <table>-<field name> e.g. <COAS>- <AUART> on the <table> e.g. <COAS>. If the DISTRIBUTION_RULE-KONTY is u2018ORu2019, then use DISTRIBUTION_RULE-AUFNR value in the where clause of the query to fetch the ZCO_SETTLE_CHK-REC_FIELD value maintained in the <table>-<field name>. If DISTRIBUTION_RULE-KONTY = u2018KSu2019 or u2018PRu2019 use DISTRIBUTION_RULE-KOSTL or DISTRIBUTION_RULE- PS_PSP_PNR respectively in the where clause to fetch the values.
