How to hide the cover page when printing ?

Dear all,
I would like to change printings option for the report S_ALR_87013611.
I would like to hide the cover page (with parameter) when printing.
How can I do that ?

Do you mean the part of the report, which contains the report name, selection date, controlling area,
Fiscal year, and other selection data?
If yes, then you could proceed as follows: As the 1SIP-001 (S_ALR_87013611) is a standard report, please copy this report with name in the customer naming range and then delete the title page from the copied report as follows:
1. Call GRR2, in the library 1VK place the cursor on report 1SIP-001 and click on the icon 'Copy'
2. In the 'To report' field enter (for example) ZSIP-001 and press 'Enter'
3. Now double-click on ZSIP-001 to enter the report definition.
4. Under 'Extras' -> 'Report texts' -> 'Title page' call the title page.
5. Choose 'Text' -> 'Delete' and the title page lines are removed.
6. Click on the 'Save' icon to save this.
7. Assign the report to a new report group by choosing 'Environment'
-> 'Assign report group' from the menu and enter ZSIP in the popup,
confirming the next popup that the report group should be created.
Now call txn GR55 and execute report group ZSIP with your selection
criteria and follow the steps to print the report:
- click 'printer icon' - mouseover text 'Print (ctrl+P)'
- click OK with dot in 'current report'
- click OK with dot in 'Print formatted report (page length 59)
- on print parameter screen in menu, blank the 'SAP cover page' field.

How do i get a folio to default to the cover page when the app is closed and reopened.

The folio i'm making is for a 'show and tell' sort of thing, it needs to be quite linear so has top start from the cover every time it's opened and then be read through. I know it's as easy as just using nav to return to cover but the people i'm making this for have 0 knowledge and 0 willingness to learn therefore i'd like the folio to reset to the cover page whenever the content viewer is closed and reopened.
I had it working on a previous iteration but on my latest version it remembers what page i'm on when I reopen the viewer (logical and handy I know but not in this instance).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP Laserjet P3015 double sided - the last odd page prints on the same page when printing two copies

HP Laserjet P3015 double sided printing is set up on Windows 7. When printing two copies of a document, if it has odd number of pages, the last page is printed on both sides of the page. There is no page feed for the last page.
Suppose say there are 3 pages in a document and you want to print two copies. It prints like 1/2, 1/2 and 3/3. The third page (odd number) print on the same page. The last page page does not print on two pages.
It works alright on Windows XP.

Hope that you have configured the correct paper type and size in the printer hardware and also selecting the same paper tray, size, type from the printer driver while printing.
It may be caused due to the job formatting done by the application software or some jobs settings done from the job/application or printer driver. Check by toggling the 'collate' option and also try to print from a different application software.

Color covering the whole pager when printing

My color laserjet 4600dn, the Magenta color cover the whole paper when printing, and some yellow color spots on the paper too. Is something wrong with the transfer belt? Please help!

Also, the best way to do this is not to adjust the black and white levels but to adjust the opacity of the image. You will need to make the background layer into a regular layer (double click it in the layers palette and say yes to the dialogs), then use the opacity slider to lighten it.
Or alternatively you could add multiply layers till you reach the required lightness, then flatten the image.

How can I hide the master page when saving a pdf?

I designed a form that uses a master page so that I can use headers and footers without changing 10 different pages. When I save to PDF so the form can be filled out it saves the Master Page as the first page though it has no content. I have to save the PDF as a static file because it needs to be filled out on the iPad.
Anyhelp please?

Not really. Acrobat must display at least one page of the form. You can set the presence of all of your Design Pages to hidden, but Acrobat will display at least one instance of the Master Page.
The Master Page is available in LC Designer for objects that you want to repeat on more than one page. Yes, typically this includes header and footer objects.
If you want to hide all of your main form pages, then include a blank page and display this when hiding all of the other pages. See an example here: http://assure.ly/frjYW5.

How to set the paper size when printing to postscript...

I need help in setting the paper size in the PrintPreference when using either the Postcript File or Adobe PDF printer to generate ps files.

How to hide the player button when publish a project?

My predecessor producted several swf files using Captivate 3. And I only get the swf files and don't get the *.cptx files.
However, now I need to publish them into a folder format, including the standard.htm, *.htm and *.swf.
So I tried to build a blank project, insert the swf file, say, test.swf , then publish it (click the "publish to the folder" and "export to html"). then I get the new folder test2, including standard.htm, test2.htm and test2.swf.
Now there is a problem, in the test2.htm and test2.swf, has two rows of player buttons,
The upper row of buttons are from the old file, test.swf. This is the real button that work.
The lower row of buttons are from the new file (test2.swf). But these are not what I want.
So I am wondering how I could delete or hide the lowe row of buttons from the new file.
That is to say, the visitor just need one row of player button.

Go to Project > Skin Editor and untick the option for Show Playback Controls.
Then the only buttons will be for the original SWF.

How can configure the default page when the application startup?

I would like, when i published my application in weblogic, write the context root and automatically start my first page.
For examples, I have 3 pages in ADF project. The names are: a.jspx, b.jspx and c.jspx
When I publish I see in Jdeveloper:
The following URL context root(s) were defined and can be used as a starting point to test your application:
[02:15:30 PM] http://localhost:7101/myapplication-ViewController-context-root
but when I write this link in my browser I get an error (404 not found).
I try http://localhost:7101/myapplication-ViewController-context-root/faces/ but I get the same error.
I would like that a.jspx runs automatically when I write the context, is possible?
In adfc-config.xml I just use control-flow-role and in "From Activity ID" i wrote * and in control-flow-case in "To Activity ID" I wrote a.jspx but I think this need when I come to other pages where i do not use outcome and is not correct for the first time when I run the application, is it?.

When I open a new tab, it opens the babylon search (which is annoying). How to change it to the thumbnail view showing most visited pages?

I was told that you have to have a description for images, links just about everything. But when I preview my website and hover over the links, a yellow box appears with the description of the images. How do I hide this?

You are previewing with an old (very old?) version of IE, which is the only browser on earth that does what you describe. All other browsers play by the rules and leave the alt attribute values alone (which is what they should do).
You can choose to ignore this, or 'kill' it by adding a title attribute that is empty, e.g.,
<img alt="foo" title=""...
By the way, you add alt attributes to images for accessibility reasons. People who browse with images turned off (and there are some) or people who use screen assistive devices (screenreaders) need some indication that there is an image at the point where they are looking/reading. Consequently, you would only want to add content to these alt attributes where it's important to the message of the page (i.e., a cosmetic-only image would just have an empty alt attribute value). And you only need these for images, not for any other page element....

in my application i want to navigate from different tables to different forms. The data in the table and in the forms is comming fromthe database. when i select a navigation link to database of a form it is connecting to database. so im manually refreshing the refresh button of I.E. which is big headache. so is there any way to refresh my current table or form dynamically at run time to retrieve from database

Hi,
Refreshing a connection to Database means re establishing your connection each time.It will be load for the DB to load the data every time generally not advisable to do.
Inorder to get the value from the DB you have load the driver and connect it using fireplug with the view for navigations.

How to hide the extra line when use the AI pen tool

When I use AI CC pen tool to draw a line, when i click the 1st anchor point, " - " shows next to the Poniter ( I did not drag ) ,I tried to move, but an extra line coming out before I click another point. So I could not draw lines or curves! That extra line just follow the Pointer direction. I am using Window 32 bit, will it affect this? please help.

As I now (mis)understand it, you are seeing the (maybe overly) helpful Smart Guides in action.
You may ignore the line or untick Smart Guides in the View dropdown, or change their settings as desired.
The Smart Guides are trying to help you with snapping to directions, paths, Anchor Points, whatever, and also telling you where you are.
