How to hide the field using internalname or directly without using SPD
Hi there,
I like to customize my form and hide some fields using the InternalName; it would be great if you can provide me tips / instructions.
PS: I dont have SharePoint Designer access; so please provide suggestions without using SPD 2010
Thanks
DMlv
You can do it using jquery based on Title attribute of the field by adding content editor webpart on the form and writing your jquery there. Will that be fine with you ?
If yes below are the pointers

How to hide the field from the view in the webdynpro application?
Hi Gurus,
I got a requirement where in which ,default layout has the field name Time.......To......... which is (2 input box ) and one lable assigned to the container.........
Now my requirement is to hide this field from the layout for all cases of leave......(all types of leave)....
I got a few inputs from forum that we can achieve this by implementing the following steps..........
Create In context => Value attribute => Say Visibility
Go to its properties
Select com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility
In View Layout
Select UI Element Set Visible property to this context variable Visibility.
In wdDoModifyView() You can set this property to false
wdContext.currentContextElement().setVisibility(false);
Can you people tell me where to create the value attribute........
In the view context or in the component context...........
and field that am talking about is assign to the container you want me to assign this context variable property to all ......Like to input box ,label and the container..........
Please calrify this ASAP...........
Thanks in Advance,
DharaniHi Manoj......
Hi Murutuza,
As per your guidelines I have created the value attribute in View context (which has the field..... which needs to be hide)inside the value node say FieldVisibility.......and attribute name OldTimeDuration......and I set this value with uidefeneitions Visibility .......
and I bind this vaule with the field property visible(Time.......To..........)which I need to hide...........
Now in the view implementation tab ..........I have coded in the doinit method(since my requirement to hide the field from the layout in all cases).........
wdContext.currentFieldVisibilityElement().setOldTimeDuration(WDVisibility.NONE);
But if I deploy the application and see still am getting the same field dispalying in the screen.........
I even tried putting this code in wdmodifyview method.........same results........
Kindly tell me how to hide the field permenantly from the screen............(without any conditions.)
Thanks in Advance,
Dharani -
Hi all,
In Process Bid Invitation - Bidder/Bids - Bid - Item Data I need to hide the field "Item Value". How to do this?
Thanks,
VladHi
Right click on the screen and select view source to see the HTML webpage template name... Hope then you can find the field name there as well the correct screen number.. and Internet Service...
Using SE80 transaction select Internet Service and type the name BBP_BID_INV and look for the corresponding HTML Template needs to modified here..
Do let me know.
Regards

}This script i am calling on, onchange() for the select list item P3_CHANNEL and it is working fine.
But i have a create button and cancel button.
After filling the details in the required columns, when i click the create button, if any validation errors are there.. the page is re-rendered. while doing that the hidden items are getting displayed back.
Tried Solutions:
1. I created a same function once more and in the last added the doSubmit('CREATE') and called the script from the create button.
At that time the hidden fields labels are getting displayed.
2. I created a process On load before header To call this script on a condition :REQUEST = 'CREATE'
Then also fruitless..
I hope now it is clear....
Please! Any suggestion are mostly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

How to hide the field in sm31 table view
experts pls help....
Hi Gopal,
If you are working with a maintenance view object, use the Attributes and mark the field as Hidden. Re-generate maintenance dialog afterwards.
If you are working with a table object, then you can simply remove the field from the generated table control. Also remember to remove the field from the FIELD - CHAIN statement in the PAI.
But, in such a case, remember that you should manually maintain some coding on the screen, to fill up/read/change the value of your hidden field programmatically.

How to get the values in a single row without using union
Hi,
I have a table with the following structure and data
empid address phoneno emailid
1001 xyz
1001 1234234
1001 [email protected]
1002 23434
1002 [email protected]
1003 abcd
1003 [email protected]
1004 [email protected]
I need to have a result in this format.
emp id address phoneno emailid
1001 xyz 1234234 [email protected]
1002 23434 [email protected]
1003 abcd [email protected]
1004 [email protected]
I can do it using union however that gives a performance issues with a large table. So I wish to do using in any other way using lead or something, but with the complexity about the data, I couldn't do it.
Can anyone please help me?

Hi,
There isn't much info on this and I am hoping its possible.
I have come across the following article which explains how we can setup SharePoint 2013 Asset Library using video links using a website in IIS that is mapped to a UNC path.
http://stevemannspath.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/sharepoint-2013-videos-in-sharepoint.html
This is great. However we have an issue where I work and I need somehow to get SharePoint mediaplayer to point to a video directly using the UNC path like :- \\WINSP13\TempVideos\NTV_Carr_Indig.wmv without the use of a website in IIS.
I understand that we won't be able to stream the video then thats ok.
when trying to add a video link to an asset library using the UNC path, we get the following error: We don't support
playing a video of that format from a file share.
Is there a way or a workaround to do this? we are using only javascript to do this (AngularJS or any custom Javascript player such as MediaElement)
Thanks
Kind Regards,
WillFrom a SharePoint architecture perspective, this is a BAD design, since you are rerouting the communications (from the client to the UNC) away from and outside of SharePoint... as a result, SP cannot provide any level of guarantee about the ability for videos
to play on the client machine.
Secondarily, I'm not sure that the browser will let you pull resources from such different locations (doing so has been the root of several type of attacks, such as "Cross Site Scripting").
That said (and assuming the browser lets you), you can always use JS to handle creating the video player HTML and setting the UNC location... instead of using a site asset library to store the links, just create a list for the videos

How to populate the last empty row in Excel without using Report Generation Kit
I wrote a Labview SUb Vi that uses Report Generation Toolkit that is not loaded on the test stand. I am looking to convert it from Report Generation Vi like New Report, Append Table to Report, Dispose Report. The tunneling through all the report generation Vis seems extensive. Code is attached. Thanks, Greg
GregThank you that was a big help...
I used the Excel Forum to get a lot of great ideas. My code is almost working.
There is a 2-D String Array that represents the String data that I am exporting to the Excel File Sheet 1 - 5.
I am attempting to determine the last populated row in sheet 1 then populate the next row of Sheet 1. Since all 5 sheets are populated every time, I should not have to search every sheet for the last row.
I am getting two row populated on sheet 1 with seeming the same data.
I found an AXExcelWrite2D ArrayWorksheet.vi that I thought would work. I think there is a Table determination that is causing me problems. The link is http://lavag.org/topic/13324-labview-and-excel-activex-or-ado/. The Application Invoke Node has a convert formula with "FromReferenceStyle" with R1C1 Attached to it. I am not sure what this function is doing. When I try to bring the function help up, there is a missing file.
I am including both the new active x vi and the report generation vi. Report Generation VI works.
I would appreciate any assistance I can get on this.
Thanks
Greg

How i hide a field of a custom view in OAF 11
Hi, im a new developer of OAF11.
What should I do, to customize the Purchase Order screen, if then the requirement is to hide the field that i insert from extended VO.
What I did was modify the XML of the page to add the field and then extended the original AM.
I added the extended view into the custom AM to prevent that fail with the field that i insert.
I must clarify that I modify the path of AM default for the path of the custom AM in the XML, then i upload the XML with the command import, and i see it the field in the page.
I tried to hide another field that i created by customizing the page, but I couldnt do. That´s why i insert directly the field in the XML original.
I Try to customize the driver involved with the page, but nothing happened.
First try it on the controller Father and after the son.
The page is in the POS module (iSupplier), and is POSVIEWPOG (PO Details).
The code that attempts to hide the field is:
OAApplicationModule am = paramOAPageContext.getApplicationModule(paramOAWebBean);
OAViewObject oaviewobject1 =(OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("PosViewHeadersVO");
if (oaviewobject1 != null)
OARow row = (OARow)oaviewobject1.getCurrentRow();
String vCustomType = (String)row.getAttribute("TypeName");
if (vCustomType.equals("Blanket Agreement"))
OAMessageStyledTextBean vHideField = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)paramOAWebBean.findChildRecursive("drbQuantity");
vHideField.setRendered(true);
else
OAMessageStyledTextBean vHideField = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)paramOAWebBean.findChildRecursive("drbQuantity");
vHideField.setRendered(true);
Can anyone help me?
If im grong other solution that i think is:
How I can put a field on a page with code and how to hide the field with conditions?, consider that the field is from the VO extended.

Question on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields in the MDT Wizard
MDT 2012 U1
Deploying Windows 7 via Offline Media (ISO) to MS Virtual PC's
I am looking on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields which are prepopulated in the MDT wizard via the CS.ini (Not so concerned about the Domain field as I am User Name and Password)
We do need the Computer Name and OU fields to be seen, so skipping the wizard is not a option
The client just does not want these fields to be seen by the end users, they dont want them to even know the account name used for adding the machine to the domain, of course the password is not displayed but it must not be displayed either.
But since we use the fields they must still be fuctional just not seen.
Thanks.....
If this post is helpful please click "Mark for answer", thanks! Kind regardsYou shouldn't have to edit DeployWiz_Definition_ENU.xml. You should only need to add "SkipAdminPassword=YES" to the CS.ini file and your authentication information.
Example:
[Settings]
Priority=Default
Properties=MyCustomProperty
[Default]
OSInstall=Y
SkipCapture=NO
SkipAdminPassword=YES
UserID=<MyUserID>
UserPassword=<MyPassword>
UserDomain=<MyDomain.com>
SkipProductKey=NO
SkipComputerBackup=YES
SkipBitLocker=NO
-Nick O.
Nick,
SkipAdminPassword=YES is for:
You can skip the Administrator Password wizard page by using this property in the
customsettings.ini.
I am hidding the Username/Password/and domain field in the computer name Wizard pane which is read from the cs.iniDomainAdmin=xxxxx
DomainAdminPassword=xxxxx
DomainAdminDomain=xxxxxx
JoinDomain=xxxxxx
