How to hightLight selected row in table with version 10.1.3 ADF

Hi there
I am experiencing a difficulty in getting the radio selected table row to be highlighted with 10.1.3 Jdeveloper.
i had looked it an example from this blog --

it worked, but the problem is that it does highlight the table cell's data background , but it doesn't hightlight the whole row.
can anyone have any idea of how to get the whole row working?

you are enabling JTA integration and the external transaction controller. So if your data-source "jdbc/OracleDS" is a JTA datasource and the JTA transaction is being set to roll back then the insert should not get committed.
Verify that you are not trapping the exception further up causing the SessionBean not to rollback the transaction. Also turn on TopLink logging to verify what is occurring.
The active UnitOfWork uses the default connection pool, so your
<name>NamedConnectionPool</name>
is not required unless you are using it some other way?
Also when using JTA "uow.commit();" is not required, the JTA transaction is responsible for committing the unit of work.

I am not able to delete seleced row.
If i press delete button it automatically delete from beginning instead of selected rows.

Default select rows in table with checkbox

I want to display a datatable that has checkboxes in one of it s columns to select a row. How can I programatically select some checkboxes in the table when the page renders for the first time...
I tried the following below but was able to only get the row highlighted...is there a way to mark the checkbox as selected for that row ?

For items created using APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN(), null values are ok
As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the SQL statement. I have just set up a test page [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:189] using the following SQL:

from EMPI don't have your tables, so have used EMP instead, but the structure of the code is the same.
If you click the Submit button, you will see the submitted data shown next to F01, F02 and F03 at the top. Some of the EMP records do not have JOB values, so you will see that the F02 contains empty values for these - but F02 and F03 contain the same number of values (empty or not). F01 will only contain a value if the checkbox has been ticked.

For getting the row index use the following code.

* navigate from <CONTEXT> to <NODE> via lead selection
lo_nd_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_node ).
lo_el_node = lo_nd_node->get_lead_selection( ).
index = lo_el_node->get_index( ).
node is the name of the node which is binded to the table.
For printing the message u can use code wizard.
Press ctrl-F7. Now Select generate message.
IN this select the method REPORT_SUCCESS
In the code now u can give index to Message text Exporting parameter. Comment receiving parameter.
Write the whole code in onLeadSelect of the table.

Be careful though. If select option is emty, you will delete the entire table.

How I can insert row on table (EditingMode= clickToEdit), with columns settings: ReadOnly = true.
When I make click on button create insert, ADF create one row on the table with output text invisible ( ReadOnly = true.)
I make double click, then output text is visible (ReadOnly = false)
I dont want make double click. I want output text is visible (ReadOnly = false), when I make click on button create insert

Hi,
try changing the edit mode of the table when pressing the button and refresh the button. This of course turns the whole table into editable mode, but this is how it needs to work. Alternatively, you create an input form for the user to edit the new record and show the form in a popup or beneath the table. Then when the user submits the created row data, you refresh the table to shwo the new row

You can get all rows red by selecting the color red in the "Color" and "frequency" to 1 under the "Alternate Row/Column colors".
I tried doing it and the colors freaked me out (all red) :-D

You will need to add some extra rows to the internal table that your table is displaying. Use a program node to append additional rows with a key but no argument.
Alternaively a template may me more suitable for your requirement than a table.

In order to update it, just create and use an Oracle sequence, have it start and increment at a value that doesn't exist in your table.
If that doesn't get you going, post some CREATE TABLE + INSERT INTO statements, and the results you want from them, in other words: a complete testcase.

Unable to select rows in table

Hi Expert,
I am a beginer of Webdynpro application development. I have created 2 views. In main view material No selection is there and in a second view table display is there. Data is getting populated nicely in second view but i uanble to select rows in table.
I have checked the node parameters in component controller for selection 0 - n and it was maped in second view. and in table perameter row selectable perameter is also enabled. I unable to fix this issue. Kindly guide me.

Hi Jayakumar,
If you want select a single or multiple row of a table then
1. your table should not be read only. This property should not be checked.
2. It should be enabled. This property should be checked.
3. It should be row selectable. This property should be checked.
However when ever you create a new table in in layout the above properties are set accordingly by default.
In your case if you are still unable to select a row of your table you can set this properties dynamically through coding from any particular action.
Create a attribute of type WDUI_TSMODE.
Then bind this attribute with the selection mode property and the set values according to your requirement.
Check this once and reply in case of any issue.

How do you select a single image with the keyboard?

I can use the "/" key to deselecting the current photo but how do I select the current photo with the keyboard? Usually the space bar is used for this but that displays the image. Is the only way to select the current photo by using the mouse?

OK, now that the question has been clarified....
Pressing and holding the Shift key as you move through the grid with the arrow keys will individually multi-select them, but that breaks down if you want non-contiguous selections, i.e. lifting off the shift key to skip a photo will cause all previous selections to be lost when you use the arrow key to advance. I think the only way for non-contiguous selection is ctrl-click.
