  • How to enhance the Excel export from Crystal Reports

    Hello,
    I am new in Crystal Reports and I wonder if it is possible to enhance the Excel export from Crystal Reports with post-processing that would be applied to the Excel exported file.
    By example, is it possible to freeze the window panes, so rows and columns are frozen in place on the screen?
    Is there any possibility to obtain the file exported to excel to work with.
    Or maybe there is some ways to parametrize the Excel export from Crystal Reports?
    Any suggestions are welcomed.

    If you are using Crystal Reports 2008 you can use the Report Application SDK that is now available.
    It has a object called PrintOutputController that has an export method that allows you to get access to the exported file before you send it to the user.
    Check the Developer library and the samples for details.

  • How to pass the primary key from a report to multiple forms

    I am trying to build an application that tracks a person's training records. I have a report and 3 forms (all tabbed). From the report I can click the edit link to modify a person. Is there a way I can pass the primary key of the person (from the report) to the other forms? Hope what I'm trying to do is clear.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You can specify items from other pages also.
    Did you use that popup to pick item ?
    Did you noticed that it filter by page where your link point. You can remove filter from popup and then select other items.
    Or just manually type your item names

    Hi,
    I hope , you can set the property of Posting date by right click on it in the query designer, to make the report display on the required Sorting order.

    A ->calls->B
    C->Calls->B
    I wanted to know how to get the report id of the parent report(calling report)(A/C) in the child report (B). I need those details as i have to have back button in child report(B) which takes me to corresponding calling(parent) report.
    So if A->calls->B back button in B report should take me to A Report.
    C->B back button in B report should take me to C Report.
    Your help is very much appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • How to go back to the parent report to a particular page from Child report in SSRS

    Hi,
    I am utilizing the Drill through functionality in one of my SSRS Report.
    My Parent Report contains 5 pages. From 1st page I am selecting a link which goes to my Child report.
    Here from my child report I want to provide a link to go back to my parent report's and it should render 3rd (it should show 3rd) page in parent report.
    How to specify this ? Give your inputs as soon as possible.
    Sridhar

    Hi Sridhar,
    After testing the issue in my environment, we can refer to the steps below to achieve your requirement.
    Right-click a report item to open the properties dialog in Child report, click Action in the left pane.
    Enable Go to URL action, the URL below is for your reference:
    ="http://server_name/ReportServer?/folder_name/parent_report_name&rc:Section=3”
    When you click the textbox in the Child report, it jumps to the Parent report in the third page.

  • How to Get the Parent - Child Relationship

    Hi ,
    In my application having 100 tables with parent - child releation ship without using casecade constraints
    i want to delete the parent with child and sub child records
    Example
    Table - 1
    parent1
    child 2
    Table - 2
    Child 1 - Parent 1
    Parent 2
    Table - 3
    Child 1 - Parent 2
    Parent 3
    Table - 4
    Child 1 - Parent 3
    How to delete the parent table ? Is it any scripts available ?
    Regards
    Sudhakar P.

    Hi,
    1) Firstly identify the parent tables using
    SELECT a.table_name, 0
    FROM user_tables a, user_tab_columns b
    WHERE a.table_name = b.table_name
    store these in one table say ID_table
    2) Identify dependent tables and sore in table say table_dependency using
    SELECT LEVEL, parenttable, parentcol, childtable, childcol
    FROM (SELECT UNIQUE parenttable, parentcol, childtable,
    b.column_name childcol
    FROM (SELECT p.table_name parenttable,
    k.column_name parentcol,
    k.POSITION pos,
    c.table_name childtable,
    c.constraint_name CONSTRAINT
    FROM all_constraints p,
    all_constraints c,
    all_cons_columns k
    WHERE p.constraint_name =
    c.r_constraint_name
    AND c.r_constraint_name =
    k.constraint_name
    AND p.constraint_type IN ('P', 'U')
    AND c.constraint_type = 'R'
    AND p.table_name != c.table_name
    ORDER BY p.table_name,
    c.constraint_name,
    k.POSITION) a,
    all_cons_columns b
    WHERE a.CONSTRAINT = b.constraint_name
    AND a.pos = b.POSITION)
    3)Now using these details find tables without cascade rule as below
    SELECT *
    FROM table_dependency
    WHERE child_table IN (
    SELECT DISTINCT table_name
    FROM user_constraints
    WHERE constraint_type = 'R'
    AND delete_rule <> 'CASCADE'
    AND table_name IN (SELECT child_table
    FROM table_dependency)
    AND r_constraint_name IN (
    SELECT constraint_name
    FROM user_constraints
    WHERE table_name IN (
    SELECT table_name
    FROM id_table
    UNION
    SELECT child_table
    FROM table_dependency))
    AND table_name NOT IN (
    SELECT table_name
    FROM id_table));

  • Calling a Function in the Parent Window from the Child Window

    QUESTION: How do I call a function resident in the parent
    window from a child window?
    BACKGROUND
    I have a JavaScript function resident in the parent window
    that reformats information obtained from the Date object and writes
    the result to the parent window using the document.write( ) method.
    I would like to call this function from the child window and have
    it write to the child window instead. Is this possible? If not,
    must I rewrite the entire function and nest it in the below code?
    If so, what is the proper form of nesting?
    CODE: The code that creates and fills the child window is
    provided below. The highlighted area indicates where I would like
    to enter the information from the function resident in the parent
    window. I have tried every imaginable permutation of code that I
    can imagine and nearly destroyed my parent document in the process.
    I am very happy that I had a back-up copy!
    function openCitationWindow() {
    ciDow = window.open("", "", "width=450, height=175, top=300,
    left=300");
    ciDow.document.write("A proper way to cite a passage of text
    on this page:<br /><br />Stegemann, R. A. 2000.
    <cite>Imagine: Bridging a Historical Gap</cite>. " +
    document.title + ". [<a href='" + location.href + "'
    target='_blank'>online book</a>] &lt;" + location.href
    + "&gt; (");
    MISSING CODE;
    ciDow.document.write(").<br /><br /><input
    type='button' value='Close Window' onclick='window.close()'>");
    ciDow.focus();

    Never mind - I was doing something very stupid and wasn't
    calling the function as a method of a movie clip. I was simply
    calling checkTarget(event) rather than
    event.currentTarget.checkTarget(event); which seems to work.

  • How to get the parent window in sub-child controller class in javafx?

    how to get the parent window in sub-child controller class in javafx?

    You can get the window in which a node is contained with
    Window window = node.getScene().getWindow();Depending when this is invoked, you might want to check the Scene is not null before calling getWindow().
    If the window is a stage that is owned by another window, you can get the "parent" or "owner" window with
    Window owner = null ;
    if (window instanceof Stage) {
      Stage stage = (Stage) window ;
      owner = stage.getOwner();
    }

  • How to determine the Support Team from Reported-by?

    Hi All,
    We need to determine the support team based on reported-by.
    I have concluded it is only possible by customization of developing ZBADI from these threads:
    Re: How to determine the Support Team from the Reported by?
    Automatic determination support team based on own specs?
    Re: Route tickets based on Message creaters's location
    So we have created ztable which has relation between SAP component, Reported-by and Support Team.
    Now i need to develope a ZBADI  and assign to the action definition SLFN0001_ADVANCED_FIND_PARTNER(i hope).
    Can anyone help me out with the piece of code. Because i don't which FMs to be called for read and update the support desk message.
    Note: Action definition SLFN0001_ADVANCED_FIND_PARTNER uses method call Z_CRM_DNO_PARTNER_1(which is a copy of CRM_DNO_PARTNER_1 and applied some correction as per note: 1041455).
    Thanks in advance.

    In Flex, we use parent or parentApplication, Is there a similar function in JavaFX?

    Reusing the same Tile example, I had no problems, I suppose I was doing wrong the first time:

  • How to find the level of each child table in a relational model?

    Earthlings,
    I need your help and I know that, 'yes, we can change'. Change this thread to a answered question.
    So: How to find the level of each child table in a relational model?
    I have a relacional database (9.2), all right?!
         O /* This is a child who makes N references to each of the follow N parent tables (here: three), and so on. */
        /↑\ Fks
       O"O O" <-- level 2 for first table (circle)
      /↑\ Fks
    "o"o"o" <-- level 1 for middle table (circle)
       ↑ Fk
      "º"Tips:
    - each circle represents a table;
    - red tables no have foreign key
    - the table in first line of tree, for example, has level 3, but when 3 becomes N? How much is N? This's the question.
    I started thinking about the following:
    First I have to know how to take the children:
    select distinct child.table_name child
      from all_cons_columns father
      join all_cons_columns child
    using (owner, position)
      join (select child.owner,
                   child.constraint_name fk,
                   child.table_name child,
                   child.r_constraint_name pk,
                   father.table_name father
              from all_constraints father, all_constraints child
             where child.r_owner = father.owner
               and child.r_constraint_name = father.constraint_name
               and father.constraint_type in ('P', 'U')
               and child.constraint_type = 'R'
               and child.owner = 'OWNER') aux
    using (owner)
    where child.constraint_name = aux.fk
       and child.table_name = aux.child
       and father.constraint_name = aux.pk
       and father.table_name = aux.father;Thinking...
