  • How to add a download link in a report directed by a navigation link?

    I have searched the net but could not find the solution.
    I added a link in a dashboard page. The link is connected to a request. When the link is clicked, the page goes to a report, which is not placed in a section region.
    Now, how to configure the report so that a download link is displayed right under the navigated report?
    I know that if a report is placed under a section in a dashboard design page, use the "Request Link..." to add the download link. But such a "Request Link..." feature is not available for a navigate-link directed report.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Quin

    I haven't seen this done, but it may be possible. As a workaround why not create a new hidden dashboard page and put your request on that page with the appropriate 'Download' report link?

  • How to create a download link for video file?

    Hello guys,
    I know this is not a question directly related to OS X, but I just can't find a solution. So I was hoping that some of you might know the answer, or could recommend further reading.
    I have .mov video files (video footage) on the server. I would like to make these files accessible for download, via link.
    So I am wondering .... how can I create a link, which would allow people to download .mov video files from the server?
    Thanks for any advice or tip.

    The question is, where is the server?
    Is it on its own static IP? If it is not, it likely is on a DHCP configuration.
    For those with DHCP, I recommend http://www.dyndns.com as a workaround, otherwise the links given will have to change as often as every hour!
    Is it on a router, or does it have a firewall turned on in its sharing preferneces? Routers and firewalls block direct access from the outside. You need to setup the web sharing access on your router or firewall before someone can access it via the web.
    Is the .mov file saved via Quicktime? You would also need to provide link on your page to http://www.apple.com/quicktime so that it may be downloaded by those who don't have it. If it is another format, you'll need a link to whatever format it is.
    HTML for putting the video right on the page is usually controled by the EMBED function. That's covered here:
    http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/embeddedobjects/_EMBED.html
    Otherwise a simple hyperlink to the file will do, once you have an open web sharing port on a static IP or dyndns controled domain.

  • In iWeb how do I delete download link in pre formatted iweb page?

    Hi
    I am adding a pre formated page to be existing website and do not want the download facility on any photos shown.
    Those that I have uploaded have all be disabled from this happening by using the Photo Inspector photo sharing thingy.
    However when you go online and open up the larger image with all the images above on the right hand side is a
    download link which is still active!  How do I get rid of this?  Can I?  Or do i have to start again and create my
    own page from scratch (which I could probably do but will take ages!!).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Sophie

    Thank you Jeff!!  Now I feel a right twit - it was staring me in the face.  I confused download with upload in my brain and didn't think that was relevant!
    I am mainly a pc person for my business - yes I know that's a sin to you lot & I have the mac for my website and photos and I am gradually working out how it thinks.
    Have sorted it now and I will use this community thing again.
    Thanks

  • How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

    When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
    But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
    I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
    Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

    To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
    Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
    I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
    I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
    Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
    Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?
    =========
    Besides the scans and removal done to the registry, the scans it did on the files and folders, the Sophos log shows the virus attached to files in Documents and Folders, All Users (and other user accounts), Application and data folders, Java and Cache, including any shortcuts and long cryptic files like (pg42l784fcuo452hsb6cfbkoke045p75f2e02887m).
    When programs fail to delete or cleanup after themselves, what locations can be safely deleted manually?

  • How to implement "Email this link to a friend"

    I'm developing a J2EE application in which I need to send links and the complete HTML pages (that a end user will see in the browser) to an email he specifies. I'd like to give a link "email this link to a friend" and "email this page to a friend". How do I achieve it?
    My question is specifially how to get the contents of a JSP/HTML page already rendered in the browser. I can go ahead and use Java Mail API or something similar.
    Thanks,

    My understanding is, using URL class may not work,
    since the required parameters are not submitted using
    GET method. I can get the URL without parameters and
    that may not give me the correct HTML page. Am I
    missing something?The example in the tutorial uses GET mode, I suppose. But the URL class does work perfectly well with POST mode, you just have to set up things correctly. (By the way, having a report as output from a POST mode form is an abuse of the HTTP protocol, as POST is supposed to be for updating the server and GET is for getting information, which is what a report is. But I suppose that you're stuck with this.) I don't have an example of this handy but I've seen examples on these forums often enough. Or you could use the Apache Commons HttpClient package which you can find out about here.

  • OrcDocDomain File Download Link - (BC4J/ADF) - How to?

    I am able to produce an Upload File in my web application - it works really nicely - , but I am lost on how to produce a download link for those files, once they are stored in the database.
    I am creating an application that deals with document files for my company's intranet. I am using BC4J, ADF, the Oracle Database, and JDeveloper 10.1.3.2
    The files are stored in the oracle database as OrcDocDomain columns.
    As I mentioned at the beginning, I do am able to have my users to upload the files:
    I use the af:inputFile tag to upload the file into the desired jbo View Row. BC4J commits the file storage into the database the way I want it later:
    <af:inputFile value="#{bindings.WorkingDocumentsView1NewDocument.inputValue}"
    label="#{bindings.WorkingDocumentsView1NewDocument.label}"
    required="true"
    binding="#{backing_app_Working_Document.inputText3}"
    id="inputText3"
    inlineStyle="font-size:x-small;" />
    Sweet...
    However, my question now is that, I want my users to be able to download the same file...but I am lost trying to put together a solution for it.
    I have tried with <af:objectMedia source="#{bindings.DocOrd.Source}"/> but it does not work at all. (Please note that I can see that that there is a file in the binding variable DocOrd, because I can display it's mime type in the same web page).
    I have also seen a documentation reference to the class "DownloadFile" of JHeadStart. I think that this class does what I should pretend to do: to render a link/call to the Intermedia Servlet that would produce the download.
    However, I am not using JHeadStart to create my application.
    Does someone know how could I generate this link/call without JHeadStart?
    Thanks by anticipate.
    Rafael.

  • Get a direct download link to a file in Onedrive

  • Download link with parameters.

    I've created a generic download function that takes a couple of parameters. The function works but now I'm trying to find out how to provide a download link that has the parameters filled in based on some page items.
    Page items:
    P38_export_type: The user can select what kind of data to download
    P38_filename: The user can provide a filename
    What I've tried is to create a button: Redirect to URL
    #OWNER#.download_my_file?p_application_id=&APP_ID.&p_filenaam=&P38_FILENAME.&p_functie=Statistiek&p_parameter1=&P38_EXPORT_TYPE.
    Although this creates a link, the parameters are filled on page load. This is to early, I need the values at the time the button is pressed.
    Any ideas how to do this?

    Hi thanks,
    In the meantime I figured out something similar.
    function my_redirect ()
      redirect(html_GetElement('P38_OWNER').value+".download_my_file?p_application_id="+html_GetElement('pFlowId').value+"&p_filenaam="+html_GetElement('P38_BESTAND').value+"&p_functie=Statistiek&p_parameter1="+html_GetElement('P38_SOORT_EXPORT').value);
    } I struggled a bit with the owner value before I decided to put it in a hidden field. Passing it as a variable is a better idea.
    It seems that accessing the item values can be done in several ways.
    redirect or location.href=URL ? any preference?

  • Interactive Report Download Link Question

    I have an interactive report where I have outer joined to a table that contain blobs that I want the user to be able to click a link to download. I have a custom procedure that works with the download link. However I can't figure out how to get the download link to only appear for the records that actually have a file (since it is outer joined, only some of the records have a blob file associated with them).
    Click this link to see a screenshot of the report example.
    The existing column with the download link was created as a column link, where I specify the url (to my custom download proc). The problem as you can see is that it puts the download link in that column for every row, whether there really is a file to download or not. I'd rather only have a download link where there is a file to download for that record (see the My File column).
    Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    HOT TIP
    If you are passing parameters into your download procedure in the URL then the users will be able to hack the URL and download information they shouldn't be able to. More worrying, if you have granted execute to public (which I think you have to) on the Procedure then information can be downloaded without the user being authenticated.
    The solution is to have a page in the application with an On Load - Before Header process that calls the procedure, with some hidden items as parameters for the procedure. You can then evoke the procedure by branching to the page in the usual way and setting the page items in the URL. This will also allow you to add the additional Apex security features such as Session State Protection (Page requires a Checksum). Remember to revoke the execute privileges from Public.
    Change the report link to:
    SELECT some_columns,
      NVL2(my_file,'Download',null) link
    FROM your_table Then use the 'column link' region to create the link in the usual way and set the Link Text to #LINK#. If you have set the target page to require a Checksum this will then be added without having to code it into your sql.
    I hope that makes some sense?

  • Download link for blob field on page

    I have a form based on table with a blob column:
    TEMPLATE blob
    The 'Display as' on the item is set to 'File Browse...'
    The Source Type is set to 'Database Column' and Source value or Expression is set to 'TEMPLATE'
    I want the 'Download' link to appear next to the 'Browse' button, so I tried to change the Source value to
    'TEMPLATE::::', but it gives me this when I try to save:
    1 error has occurred
    ""."TEMPLATE" not found.
    How canI get the 'Download' link to appear?

    bobmagan,
    Thanks for importing your app. Sorry for the late reply. Here's what I've found:
    For some reason this download link seems to be tied to the TABLE NAME specified in an Automatic Row Processing process. I created an ARP to process the row instead of using the custom procedure that you wrote to process the record. I specified all the normal stuff in the ARP (i.e., TABLE_NAME, PRIMARY_KEY). After the process was created, I modified the TEMPLATE item source to TEMPLATE:::: w/o error and the download link appeared fine.
    To further test, I then went back the ARP and changed the table name to lower case, edited the TEMPLATE item again, and got the following error:
    *"report_layout"."TEMPLATE" not found.*
    When you use DATABASE COLUMN as the source type for the item, it must be using the table_name in the ARP to identify the column being referenced.
    This may a good question for the APEX developers. They could probably shed more light on this.
    All in all, the workaround I found is to create the ARP and set it's condition to NEVER so that it never runs. You can still use your custom process to insert/update/delete the record. Then you can edit the item, add the TEMPLATE::::, and get the download link to appear. I left the solution up and running in your app for you to see.
    Sorry for all the confusion, but I hope this helps you out.
    Let me know what you think...
