How to implement a inputText include suggestion when input

Hi guys,
In ADF, How to implement a inputText include suggestion when input, just like google suggestions ( when you type a char at inputText, it will give you relative suggestions for you to select ).
Is there any ADF tag or other way to get that ?

Sure, you can use the af:autoSuggestBehavior component within your inputText. In this post they explain how to implement it in two ways: programmatic and declarative:

How to implement start & stop ai triggers when # scans unknown

I can't seem to find an implementation example for this application.
Some are close but seem to have a big gap on close examination.
The application is to log an unknown number of samples for a
single rotation of a variable speed drum. The drum is connected

start and stop pulse, a scan rate constant, and just get
the data out of a buffer. But it does not seem to be that simple
or am I missing something here?
There is also an issue with the identical tach signal being used
for both the start and stop trigger. I think that can be gotten
around by using a divide by n counter and feeding that to
trigger config vi but if anyone has any suggestions for that,
they would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I can't help you beyond that. We use NI boards and NI-DAQ library
of functions in custom control systems with software written in C++. I have
not had opportunity to use LabView. Sorry.

How do I center a text field when input can be single or multi-line?

I'm creating a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and have almost everything the way I want it. One of my last problems is trying to get a text in a text field centered. The input is sometimes a single line and sometimes multi-line. If I set it up so the multi-line entries are centered, then the single line looks off ... and vice versa. Is there any way to have the text automatically centered in the text field regardless of whether it's single or multi-line?

Unfortunately, there's no way to set up a field so that the text is guaranteed to be vertically centered in both cases. If you set it up so that rich text formatting is enabled, it's possible for a user to vertically center, but it's not something you can preconfigure so that it will remain in effect when the field is cleared. For a user to do this, with the focus set to the field they'd have to display the Properties toolbar (Ctrl+E), click the "More..." > Paragraph > Alignment > Text Middle [button]

How to implement dropdown list in catalog definition

I am using wc11g, I defined my taskflow in DefaultGroupSpaceCatalog.xml and defined input parameters for this taskflow, but how to implement a dropdown list function when customer want to select one value from multiple available options, just like when user edit my taskflow in composer, in the "display options" tab, when user want to change background item, there is a dropdown list shows available values:
light
medium
dark
How to implement this dropdown list for my own parameters?

Is their a specific reason why you are using taskflows and not portlets?
Because with portlets you can have an additional mode for doing the customization. You can create your own jspx page that represents that mode and then you can easily implement a dropdownlist or whatever form you want.
Using taskflows, you don't have such features available as far as i know.
Another solution would be to add a button in your taskflows that only renders when you are the admin. Otherwhise, the button does not show.
That button can open a popup were you add a form with a dropdownlist and in the backing bean you can set the parameter yourself but i don't realy know the code needed for that because it is an input parameter of the taskflow, right?

When I send the images, it doesn't include the keywords, which I use as a description. But when I email them via "Share" in the menu bar - none of the keywords come through in the email. I looked for a preference or something that will allow sending keywords, but don't see anything like that.

Thank you for your answer. My first thought was, "great - I've tried dragging them to my desktop, but the keywords do't 'drag' with the picture." So you're suggestion to 'export' and selectinh the appropriate boxes would solve the issue.
But it doesn't seem to!
In iPhoto, under the photo I'm seeing the file number and the keywords under that. Good!
But when I export as yu've suggested . . . still NO keywords (which I use as a title). Now, to your credit, if I "Command + i" the jpg image, I will see the keywords . . . but I'm looking to see the keywords under the picture in the email - just like it looks in iPhoto?
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks very much.

It does seem rather odd that an app that was acquired thru itunes would quit working once it was incorporated into the device for all users. oh well it was probably free or $.99 when I downloaded it.
I would think that they were just testing it to see how many people would use it. But you might want to write a polite letter to Apple requesting a credit for the purchase price of the no longer supported app. That seems to be the least they could for one of their 'alpha testers'.

I don't have a clue on how to implement the Auto Suggest Widget.
The ASP sample works with XML File.

I am sorry to ask again. I am not at all familiar with xml.
I have tried to modify the ASP script you've suggested, but I get strange XML error, which doesn't make sense to me.
I understand that with the script the server creates an XML File on the fly. First I have to connect to my access database, then I fill the records into a recordset object. And then the server loops through the RS and creates the xml file. Is that correct?
The error message I get, points to a complete different place in the code, to a javascript module, which is working perfectly without below code.
Any suggestions where the bug is?

Two ways:
1. File -> Export. Set the Kind to Jpeg or Tiff
Check the boxes at 'Location Information' and 'Titles and Keyword'
The information is written to the iptc and Exif metadata on the file.
2. Use iPhoto Library Manager This will get all of the information plus faces and edit history

Solution:
I did it's master detail entry wherein the user will initially select the carton size(CTN_MEAS_ID), enter no of carton(SSSD_NO_CTN),
gross weight(SSSD_GW), net weight(SSSD_NW) and primary key (SSSD_ID sequence generated) in table SHIPMENT_CARTON(Master Block Entry).
Afterwhich, user will select itemcodes(OI_ITEM_ID), enter the quantity(IIC_QTY) and primary key (IIC_ID sequence generated) in
ITEMS_IN_CARTON (Detail Block Entry).
MY NEW REQUIREMENT:
More than 1 itemcode(s) will be put in 1 carton.
User will initially select the itemcode(s)and quantity , then select the carton size,enter the no of carton, gross & net weight.
How to implement it in reverse manner.
I hope somebody out there can suggest how to do it in Forms10g.

It depends on what the front end should look like and whether the carton details are known immediately after the items have been entered or not. I'll assume the carton details will not be known for some time.
Presumably you have other tables in the model, for example there would probably be a table above shipment_carton. "Shipment" perhaps? If not then create it and foreign key both tables here to the Shipment table. When you add items you add them to a shipment and when you add cartons you add them to a shipment. Then you just have to assign items to cartons within that shipment. The foreign key from items to cartons must now include the Carton AND Shipment primary key columns so you know that the items are not being put into another shipment's carton.

See below if the search engine setting was changed without your knowledge and you can't change it back.
You installed the "Genieo/InstallMac" rootkit. The product is a fraud, and the developer knowingly distributes an uninstaller that doesn't work. I suggest the tedious procedure below to disable Genieo. This procedure may leave a few small files behind, but it will permanently deactivate the rootkit (as long as you never reinstall it.)
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data. You must know how to restore from a backup even if the system becomes unbootable. If you don't know how to do that, or if you don't have any backups, stop here and ask for guidance.
Step 1
In the Applications folder, there may (or may not) be an application named "Genieo". Genieo may be partially installed even if this item is absent. If it's present, select it and open the Finder Info window. If it shows that theVersion is less than 2.0, download and install the current version from the genieo.com website. This may seem paradoxical, since the goal is to remove it, but you'll be saving yourself some trouble as well as the risk of putting the system in an unusable state.
There should be another application in the same folder named "Uninstall Genieo". After updating Genieo, if necessary, launch "Uninstall Genieo" and follow the prompts to remove the "newspaper-style home page." Restart the computer.
This step does not completely inactivate Genieo.
Step 2
Don't take this step unless you completed Step 1, including the restart, without any error messages. If you didn't find the Genieo application, or if you couldn't complete Step 1 for any reason, stop here and ask for instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those listed above, move them as well. There's no need to restart after each one. Some of these items will be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
Step 3
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including ones called "Genieo" or "Omnibar," and any that have the word "Spigot" or "InstallMac" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Your web browser(s) should now be working, and you should be able to reset the home page and search engine. If not, stop here and post your results.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install this software. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad has a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If youever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Genieo developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
Finally, be forewarned that when Genieo is mentioned on this site, the perpetrator of the scam sometimes shows up under the name "Genieo support." He will tell you to run the provided uninstaller. As he knows and intends, the uninstaller does not completely remove the malware.
