How to implement implicit and explicit enhancement points

Can anybody please provide some technical aspects of enhancement spots. I have gone through several sap sites and help poratl but have not get much technical things (how to implement or related t codes). please do not provide link to read theories.

Hi Rohan,
In implicit they are available at the beginning of subroutines defined in the standard reports.
Edit-> Enhancement operations->show implicit enhancement options.
This will highlight all the implicit enhancements in the report.
In Explicit enhancement we have two different types of enhancements -
Enhancement point and Enhancement section.
Enhancement point - SAP has some standard functionality defined for a report , but it may be required that you'll need to add your own code. In this case the code that you'll add will be executed along with the standard code.
Enhancement section - SAP has its standard functionality defines but it may not suit your requirement, in that case you may need to add your code and you'll need that code to be executed only. By this method the existing code is automatically commented and a copy of the same code is available to edit.
After executing the report only your code will be executed and the standard code will be bypassed.

Implicit enhancement points are basically points within ABAP code where an enhancement point is implied, and in which case can be created. Examples of implicit enhancement points are at the beginning and end of FORMs, at the end of a program, include or function module etc. Below is a step by step demonstration of how to create and implicit enhancement point.
Explicit enhancement points are basically hooks already coded into the program by SAP at various points of the code. See program RIAUFMVK for examples of these! These are very easy to implement simply go into enhancement mode of SE80 and right click on the enhancement point where you want to add your code and choose Enhancement Implementation->Create Give it a name, description and assign it to a change request (should not be a Z package) and then simply add the code as normal

Implicit enhancement option
Throughout the ABAP system, enhancement options are automatically available at certain pre-defined places. Some of the implicit options are:
u2022 At the end of all the programs (Includes, Reports, Function pool, Module pool, etc.), after the last statement
u2022 At the beginning and end of all FORM subroutines
u2022 At the end of all Function Modules
u2022 At the end of all visibility areas (public, protected and private) of local class
To view all the implicit options available in a source code, choose u2018Edit -> Enhancement Operations -> Show Implicit Enhancement Optionsu2019 from the editor.

Explicit enhancement option
The Implicit enhancement options are provided at specific source code places explicitly by SAP (Note that these enhancement definitions can also be created by partners and customers in their code).
There are two types of Explicit Enhancement options available. One which can be provided at a specific place - called Enhancement Point, and another which can be used to replace a set of statements u2013 called Enhancement Section. For this, we now have two new ABAP statements, viz.
u2022 ENHANCEMENT-POINT
u2022 ENHANCEMENT-SECTION
When the Enhancement-Section is implemented, only the implementation gets executed and the original code doesnu2019t get executed. This is a new technique, which didnu2019t exist previously in any of the old ways of enhancing, to exclude any standard SAP code from execution. Because of this, there can be only one active implementation of an Enhancement-Section. On the other hand, there can be multiple active implementations of an Enhancement-Point, in which case all the implementations will be executed with no guarantee in the order of execution.

I think i have not asked question correctly.. what i mean to ask is "to create the explicit enhancement point in the method(Source code), does ACCESS KEY required".
Because when i tried to create enhancement point at IMPLICIT enhancement option system is allowing to create but when i tried to create at other than IMPLICIT enhancement option(in the mid of source code ) system is not allowed and displayed following message :
"In this mode, you can create implementations only"

For Explicit conversions (casts):Typical examples include numeric conversion to a type that has less precision or a smaller range, and conversion of a base-class instance to a derived class. For first one, it would perform the same with implicit conversions.
While for the conversion of conversion of a base-class instance to a derived class, actually, there's no built-in way to do this conversion.

how to implement classes and methods in badi's? and where i have to write the code based on the requirement?can anyone explain me briefly?

Every BADI by default Implements an INTERFACE which already contains some methods with parameters.
So you have to find the relavenet method based on the related paramters (by checking the fields in that paramters) you have to double click on the method and to write the code.

DEFINING THE BADI
1) execute Tcode SE18.
2) Specify a definition Name : ZBADI_SPFLI
3) Press create
4) Choose the attribute tab. Specify short desc for badi.. and specify the type :
multiple use.
5) Choose the interface tab
6) Specify interface name: ZIF_EX_BADI_SPFLI and save.
7) Dbl clk on interface name to start class builder . specify a method name (name,
level, desc).

ZCL_IM_IMLINESEL which is already generarted.
5) Specify short desc for method
6) Dbl clk on method to insert code..(check the code in AAA).
7) Save , check and activate the code.

thanks"implicit" means that something is executed that is not written in your code
"explicit" means that whatever is executed specifically exists in the code.
For instance: "a base class constructor implicitly calls super() if you don't explicitly call super yourself."
That means even though it is not written in the code, the line:
super();
will be executed unless you explictily include a call to super() yourself, such as:
super(10, 14.6, "some text");

Implicit Cursor means ,the cursors which are defined impplicitly.Here we use curosr variables as "SQL%found,sql%not found,sql%is open.."
but explicit cursors defined by us like if u create a cursor C1 then
c1%found,c1% not found ,c1%open

For VF02 Programe Name SAPMV60A goto this programe in this we have somany explisit Enhanacement spots, just click Binacular Icon(Find button) and paste Enhancement Spot it will disply list of explisit enhancement spots, select your spot and just right click and create spot and do changes according to your requirement.

How can I get the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver installed on Win7 LC master?

We recently migrated from a Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 print server. When recomposing a linked clone pool with the old 2003 server, drivers were taken care of for the printer when the user printed for the first time after desktop recompose. With 2012, any printer using the Point and Print driver doesn't seem to obtain the driver again from the 2012 server. All of our clients are running Windows 7 which means the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver is not installed in the OS natively.
I apparently need to figure out a way to get this installed on the host image so it trickles down to snapshots when recomposing the linked clone pool but I haven't been able to dig much information on doing this. Does anyone out there have any insight on how to accomplish this? If I recompose a pool now for a user who is using a new Point and Print driver, they get the following message that is resolved by removing the printer from their account and re-adding it:
"The 'Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver' printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?"
I figured the easy solution would be to just install a printer using the Point and Print driver and then remove it...leaving the driver behind (unless it cleaned up after itself). The problem with this is in my testing, even after removing and re-adding a printer that set off installation of this Point and Print driver on the client, any other printer that was using it still required the remove/re-add process in order to work, else I got the same message. That tells me that the driver may be custom for each printer installed?
Color me a little confused. I do NOT like the way that Server 2012 handles printers. I've come across a few other issues as well (such as duplex capabilities not being remember on the print server for a printer) that I never had with the 2003 server.

But the article below, says Implicit is best , then Explicit and finally Ref Cursor..

To explain. There is only a single type of cursor in Oracle - that is the cursor that is parsed and compiled by the SQL engine and stored in the database's shared pool. The "+client+" is then given a handle (called a SQL Statement Handle in many APIs) that it can use to reference that cursor in the SQL engine.
The performance of this cursor is not determined by the client. It is determined by the execution plan and how much executing that cursor cost ito server resources.
The client can be Java, Visual Basic, .Net - or a PL/SQL program. This client language (a client of SQL), has its own structures in dealing with that cursor handle received from the SQL engine.
It can hide it from the developer all together - so that he/she does not even see that there is a statement handle. This is what implicit cursors are in PL/SQL.
It can allow the developer to manually define the cursor structure - this is what explicit cursors, ref cursors, and DBMS_SQL cursors are in PL/SQL.
Each of these client cursor structures provides the programmer with a different set of features to deal with SQL cursor. Explicit cursor constructs in PL/SQL do not allow for the use of dynamic SQL. Ref cursors and DBMS_SQL cursors do. Ref cursors do not allow the programmer to determine, at run-time, the structure of the SQL projection of the cursor. DBMS_SQL cursors do.
Only ref cursors can be created in PL/SQL and then be handed over to another client (e.g. Java/VB) for processing. Etc.
So each of the client structures/interfaces provides you with a different feature set for SQL cursors.
Choosing implicit cursors for example does not make the SQL cursor go faster. The SQL engine does not know and does not care, what client construct you are using to deal with the SQL cursor handle it gave you. It does not matter. It does not impact its SQL cursor performance.
But on the client side, it can matter - as your code in dealing with that SQL cursor determines how fast your interaction with that SQL cursor is. How many context switches you make. How effectively you use and re-use the SQL (e.g. hard parsing vs soft parsing vs re-using the same cursor handle). Etc.
Is there any single client cursor construct that is better? No.
That is an ignorant view. The client language provides a toolbox, where each tool has a specific application. The knowledgeable developer will use the right tool for the job. The idiot developer will select one tool and use it as The Hammer to "solve" all the problems.
