How to implement Webservices using JSPDynPages?

Hi,
Am currently working with an application where the requirement is that, I need to make a call to the webservice from my JSPDynPage controller, pass the arguements username and password and get the result, a string which authenticates the user. Please let me know how I can do this, and what code I need to include.

We've had some strange problems with "java.lang.Exception: Deserializer for QName
(http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema, string) not found or not supported" error occuring randomly (but not often ) with portal services consuming webservices.
An OSS was created, and the reply was
"The right and supported way to consume a web service is by creating a deployable or a standalone proxy.

Please note, although the "old" framework for consuming web services
exists, it's deprecated in newer versions."
So you need to create a J2EE application inorder to consume or expose webservices.

How to call webservice using jdev9i

Hi gurus and experts,
i need to consume a webservice using oaf. with great effort finally i created stub using axis s/w.
now i dont know how to use the stub in jdev.where to write the code and what to write.iam strucked :-( .
since there were no sample tutorial about how to call webservice from jdev9i, iam struggling to make.iam jus a starter.
and while googling i came to know that stubs can be created using jdev9i .but when i see new-->webservices--web service stub it is greyed out.
i have 2 questions now:
1)if stub created using axis can it be used in jdev9i? if yes ,please tell me how? any tutorial links also helps me.
2)if the stubs should be created only by jdev9i so that webservices can be called using jdev,then please guide me how to make it.
i need some helping hands from u guys.

If your JAVA Application is Web based application, you can expose it as Webservice.
JAVA People will pick the data from Dbase using their application and will send the data to XI by using our XI Details like Message Interface and Data type structure and all.
So we can Use SOAP Adapter or HTTP in XI..
If you use HTTP for sending the data to XI means there is no need of Adapter also. why because HTTP sits on ABAP Stack and can directly communicate with the XI Integration Server Directly

Solved: ADF BC and primary keys - how to implement without using triggers

Using the following OBE as an example:

There is just one view that has CustomerId defined as a primary key, where the value for the primary key comes from the customer_seq sequence.
How do you create the model using ADF BC entity to create an entity object that has a primary key that needs to be populated by a sequence table when inserted WITHOUT using a trigger?
Basically I want to just use ADF BC instead of toplink in the OBE. We do not use triggers to insert primary keys, so this example is a good match for what I need.
Can someone help me out. How do I adjust the model to use just ADF BC - how do I define the entity object to use a sequence. Do I just override the create method in the impl? Is it that simple? Or is there a way to do this point and click in the entity tool.

I'm not the dba (or one of several) - so don't shoot the messenger... the dba's do not like to use triggers in the code. I have been told that this has caused too many problems in application development.
I don't ask why, just deal with the fallout.
I did try using the following code in a create method:

When I run the test program for the module, I get a new entry with the id empty and greyed out. I was hoping that this would be filled in on the actual insert, but no joy. As soon as I try to commit, I get an error:
(oracle.jbo.AttrValException) JBO-27014: Attribute CustId in CustomersWSView is required)
So what needs to be done?

just add an action listener (either keypressed or keytyped) to the frame that you want to record. I did this in NetBeans in about 2 seconds. I can simplify it if you need. As for loging it just write the characters to a file output stream.

I am working as a consultant for a manufacturing company.
They have a format for charging Excise and Sales tax on their products (example below). I dont know how to implement this using oracle apps. Please help me ASAP.
eg.
Product A:
MRP = Rs. 100
Assessable Value (i.e. the value at which I have contract with the Government to pay Excise Duty) = 60% of MRP = Rs. 60 in this case.
Excise Duty = 16% of AV =0.16*60 = Rs. 9.6
Now, lets suppose I am selling my product to a dealer at 30% discount.
Therefore, Sale Price = 70% of MRP = Rs. 70
Sales Tax = 4% of Sale Price = 0.04*70 = 2.8
Therefore, total revenue from the deal = 70-9.6-2.8 = Rs. 57.6

you can use Advance Pricing or creating discount or attiribute while calculating.
this is not much complex, possible even with Advance Pricing too. Thanks

The simplest way to implement asynch callback is to use the properties of the MessageExchange instance. Simply attach the callback object to the message exchange instance, and send the instance off to be processed. When the component receives the response in the MessageExchange instance, it can simply retrieve the callback object and invoke it with the response.
Using EPRs is more difficult, for it requires that both components agree on how such references are passed between them. Any EPR vocabulary (eg, WS-Addressing) can be used; generally only one component "understands" the EPR vocabulary (usually a binding component); the other treats it as an opaque XML fragment that it passes to JBI in exchange for an EndpointReference.

Basically you need to logon as Administrator
Go to ->System Administration -> System Configuration -> Keystore Administration -> Download veryfy.der
then
Check backend parameters...
login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
Logon to Backend, go to transaccion strustsso2 and add the certificate (veryfy.der)
At the portal, go to ->System Administration -> System Configuration -> System Lanscape -> go to the system and make sure that Logon Method is SAPLOGONTICKET
That should be pretty much it...
