How to import a in InDesign generated swf file into flash pro

My Flash Pro does not allow to import the in InDesign CS 5.5 generated swf file.
Any suggestions?

Like this?
movieholder.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToLoadUnloadSWF);
import fl.display.ProLoader;
var fl_ProLoader:ProLoader;
//Mit dieser Variable wird verfolgt, ob Sie die SWF-Datei laden oder entladen möchten
var fl_ToLoad:Boolean = true;
function fl_ClickToLoadUnloadSWF(event:MouseEvent):void
    if(fl_ToLoad)
        fl_ProLoader = new ProLoader();
        fl_ProLoader.load(new URLRequest("http://www.helpexamples.com/flash/images/image1.jpg"));

    else
        fl_ProLoader.unload();
        removeChild(fl_ProLoader);

  • How to import an element v10 organizer keyword file into element v12??

    I am upgrading from elements 10 to 12.  In v10 I have saved a 'keyword tags' file.
    I want to import this 'keyword tag' file into v12, but don't see a way to do that.
    HELP!
    Jimbo

    I have Elements v10 on my desktop with numerous tags, with the assoicated file structure.
    I want to have the same tag structure on my laptop which has elements 12 installed.
    to create and save the keyword structure, I did is this;
    1. w/in v10 went to key word tags [see above]
    2. clicked on the down arrow to the right of the + sign,
    3. selected 'save keyword tags to file ...'
    4. kept the default option 'Export All Keyword Tags'
    5. clicked 'OK'
    which of course saved the keyword tags in a file name keyword tags.xml
    Oh, by the way, I learned how to do this save from a previous forum question.  (see my earlier post).
    Am I asking to do something that can't be done?  I hope not, because my keyword tag file has > 1100 entries.
    By the way, I viewed you suggested option from your previous input above, but I do not have the same view.  My view is shown below;
    which as you see has the [ Create (down arrow) Share (down arrow) ] at the top
    but the view below that is as shown above.  What am I doing wrong??
    Thanks for all your help.

  • Making .swf files in Flash Pro CC: What versions of Flash Player could play it?

    Hello, all!
    I was recently let go from my last job. My former boss wanted me to do ActionScript work on a PowerPC Mac (an iMac G5) with a decade-old version of Flash (Flash MX 2004.) Her reasoning for this was sound: she wanted to distribute some of here English tutoring software to cash-strapped schools, so she wanted me to work with older software and hardware to ensure compatibility. Unfortunately (in this case) the only version of Flash Pro that I can legally acquire is Flash Pro CC, so I was unable to actually get my hands on anything that could run ActionScript 2. This made my productivity at work go slower than desired. Not only was I slow in picking up how to use Flash MX on a Mac (I'm primarily a Windows/Linux person) but she made it quite clear that she wasn't going to have me learning how to do the job on company time. In the end, she decided to scrap the project.
    Now, that job is gone, and what's done is done, but I'm still interested in using Flash/ActionScript, and I'm also left with a question that, depending on the answer, may have saved my job if I had asked it just a couple days ago: what's the oldest version of Flash Player that would be able to play .swf files made in the current version of Flash Pro CC?
    Thank you all for your time.

    with a cc subscription, you can download, install and activate flash pro cs6 which supports as2.
    the answer to your last question depends on what features you use of flash pro cc.  at a minimum you would be using as3 and need to use a flash player version that supports as3.

  • I am unable to import a SWF file in Premiere Pro

    Please indicate how to import an SWF file into Premiere Pro. I tried to import as an movie, but it would not work.

    Hello,
    As of Adobe Premiere Pro 7.1, you cannot import FLV files directly into Adobe Premiere Pro. While working with FLV footage, use Adobe Media Encoder to import the FLV files and transcode the FLV files into a supported file type. For example, use the H.264 format.
    After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder still support the import of FLV files.
    FLV file export is still available within Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Importing .avi clips into Flash Pro 8..

    I have flash pro 8, and I was attempting to import a .avi
    (Video Clip) file into Flash Pro 8, and... it instantly crashes the
    program with no error message, no lag, nothing. Just instantly
    shuts the whole program down as if I had simply pressed the "X"
    button at the top of the window.
    Is there any fixes for this? I need to do this for a school
    project.

    Hi.
    Thanks both of you for your comments, but the .avi file is
    less than 40 seconds long, and is a bit smaller than 6MB. I have
    imported a 15MB .avi file into Flash before with no problems. It
    isn't hiding either, I checked my processes in the Task Manager,
    and it isn't there, it's just completely gone. I need to figure
    this out by the end of two weeks. I cannot convert it to a smaller
    file type, because I need it to retain 100% of it's quality.
    Thanks

  • How can I import or convert a .swf file into iMovie 8

    I've been searching with no luck for a way to convert a flash animation (.swf) file into a format that I can import into iMovie 8. Ideally, this would involve freeware or very inexpensive software. It is important that I maintain the quality (and audio) of the original swf file.
    Can anyone suggest a route?
    Many thanks.

    The easiest method is to use screen capture software to "record" the .swf file as it plays.
    Since .swf files use vector graphics you can scale it up in dimension (to fit your iMovie Project needs) without any loss in quality.
    I'm a happy user of SnapzProX http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/ as it records in QuickTime formats.

  • Embedding SWF file into an Indesign document and later export as PDF

    Hi to everybody,
    I am searching now since 3 days for good solution of my problem. First I wanna tell you that the problem is not just to convert a swf-file into a pdf.  I did this many times with all animations, page flip and stuff.My situation is the following:
    I have varios catalogues with  more or less 12 pages each in an indesign format. Now I created an animated scroll down menu, which appears on an "index-page". On the menu I created buttons. One button for each catalogue. So the idea of the whole thing is to open a document and an index page appears where you have the animated menu and you choose the catalogue you wanna see. Until here it is quite easy. I created a swf file of each catalogue with my animations (as the special page turnover e.g.). So that I just need von Object in with I can load the different swf-files of these catalogues. I already did the process. I linked the buttons to the different swf files and so. So the problem is now when it comes to convert the whole thing into a PDF. Of course I convert it first to swf and then to PDF. After converting it to swf it works 100% fine, but in PDF not, suddenly the swf-files of the catalogues disappear.
    So the summary is, that I don't know how to embed swf files into an indesign document, creat buttons and interactions next to swf file, then save it to another swf, and then to a pdf without losing the first swf files within the pdf.
    Hope I made my self clear would be too nice if someone could help me or if someone may have a better idea of realizing the whole project.

    Jeffrey,
    Thank you for the answer. As you have written:
    I will also add that the ID's play mode contol [plays once] [repeat play] does not always control the file once in Acrobat.
    I presume you mean version of ID older than CS4 or version of Acrobat Reader older than 9.1
    It that is the case I will strongly recommend my visitors to upgrade to this version.
    I hope that would work.
    Thanks again.

  • How to import data from excel or csv files to Oracle table

    hello everybody,
    I am new here and new in Oracle. I would like to know the steps how to import data from excel or csv files to Oracle table.
    Let say I already have table inside the Oracle. Then my user give me the sets of data inside the Excel Worksheet.
    So, how can I import the excel data into Oracle table.
    Thank you in advance.
    cheers,
    shima

    Even easier. Download JDeveloper 11G from this site.
    Set up the database connection, right click on the table, select Import->Excel and specify your file to load it. On the import pop-up, you must view and update each tab indicating Columns, Data Types, and DML.
    Columns -- move the selected columns that you want to load to the box on the right
    Data Types -- select column name from second column to which the data for each column of the import file should load
    DML -- click this tab to generate the INSERT SQL
    Once done click 'Insert'

  • Can't import swf file into QuarkXpress 8.12

    Hello everyone,
    I'm using QuarkXpress v 8.12 | Apple iMac Intel Core 2  Duo, 64 bit |  Flash Player 10.1.85.3.(?)
    When I tried to import a swf file into a picture box in Quark it freezes the program and then I have to force quit the application and restart. I've been onto Quark's forum already with this issue and the advice is to uninstall Flash 10.1 and go back to v10 that came with the Quark DVD.This is the advice given:
    This FLash player consists out of two files, flashplayer.xpt and  Flash Player.plugin. However it is much cleaner to uninstall by using  the Flash Uninstaller Adobe provides on their web page.
    However, it's not made clear where these xpt and plugin files reside. Are they inside the Library>Internet Plug-ins? Quark's forum then goes on to say that there is ANOTHER standalone Flash Player programe that previews Flash files out of QuarkXpress and I did manage to open up the swf flie without trouble and saw the interactiveness within it. (I didn't create the swf file and don't know its provenance, it came with a tutorial).
    Inside of Quark's Extensions, there's a folder called ForIneractive that contains a Flash Player, when I clicked on it to get info it says it's v10.0 r22. Is this the standalone programe that previews flash files out of QuarkXpress and has nothing to do with the problem of my swf files not importing? To add confusion, when I visited Adobe Flash's troubleshoot site, it detects the Flash Player I have on my system as 10.1.85.3. So I'm totally puzzled as to what's what (version wise)! I've tried spotlight and it leads back only to the QuarkXpress ForInterActive folder and the Library for the plugin.
    The main question is, if I uninstall with the Adobe Flash Uninstaller, how do I know that I'm uninstalling the right components? Any other advice to fix this?
    Thanks a million
    Jadeytai

    Photoshop elements has never had File>Import>Video Frames to Layers.
    At one time, until a few versions back, there was File>Import>Frame from Video, but that was just able to do one frame at a time and the function has since been removed from photoshop elements.
    Photoshop and photoshop elements are two different applications, photoshop elements being an application based on photoshop, but with less advanced features.

  • How can I keep lion from generating .DS_Store files on windows network partitions, but not disable it for all network partitions?

    How can I keep lion from generating .DS_Store files on windows network partitions, but not disable it for all network partitions?  I am fimilar with changing the setting for all network partitions(defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true), but that is undesirable when I connect my laptop to my home network. A preferable solution would be where I could control the writing of these files based on disk format (NTFS vs HFS+).

    Go to MacUpdate or CNET Downloads and search for ds_store. There are numerous utilities for preventing them from being transferred to Windows systems.

  • Indesign-generated .pdf files won't print

    I realize this question is vague to the point of being unanswerable, but here I go anyway.
    Our department's publication person sent me a number of chapters of our book in progress so that I could print an uncorrected proof to show to our funding source. She emailed me .pdf files generated by InDesign CS2, probably, although it might have been CS3.
    She also emailed me the indesign file for the frontmatter because I had some things to add, so the .pdf for that I generated myself.
    I took everything to a local printer we regularly use. To print this job he was using a large commercial Canon setup I think. None of the .pdfs would print on it. He ended up having to print them all as images for the purposes of creating a proof for me.
    Now, I printed all of them myself on our networked postscript printer, both from a Mac and a Windows machine, no problem.
    Since the files had been emailed to me, and then to him, we thought maybe they got corrupted, so I brought them over on a disk, but that didn't help, not even the one file whose .pdf I generated myself would print.
    So is this an issue that has come up--indesign-generated .pdf files being unprintable on a commercial printer but printable on a postscript machine.

    Dov and Al,
    Yes, I'm sorry, I do realize that this isn't enough to diagnose a problem. I was hoping that this might be something that has come up before and someone would recognize.
    As far as I could tell, he was opening up the print jobs in Acrobat and sending them to his printer, which had its own job monitor. When he consulted that monitor he just said, no, it won't print.
    He's a smart guy and I've done a number of jobs with him that were generated in indesign, so I'm really at a loss to explain what has gone wrong with this one.

  • How do I import an MKV file into Premiere Pro CS6?

    How do I import an MKV file into Premiere Pro CS6?

    Premiere Pro CS6 doesn't support MKV formats. To import MKV to Premiere Pro CS6, a recommended solution is to convert MKV to AVI.
    I've been reading so many different forums on how to convert MKV to AVI. Finally, I summarised three solutions:
    First one: HandBrake . This tool is a free and open-source multi-threaded transcoding app. It supports nearly any videos including MKV format and has Mac version and Windows version.
    Cons:
    1. HandBrake is too professional to handle for most people;
    2. It doesn't support MOV as output format.
    Second one: there are many third party software which supports converting MKV to AVI. I just test one of them. It's professional yet easy to use and the service is excellent. And there is a step by step guide about how to use this tool .
    Cons:
    1. Most of them are not free.
    Third one: Online-Converter . This kind of converter does a great job on file conversion.
    Cons:
    1. Like most online converters, the free version of this tool only allows you to convert videos smaller than 100MB. It's too small for video conversion;
    2.Your MKV video should be upload to the internet to be converted. This means the risk of pravite information leak is possible.
