How to import Expected finish date

Hi all,
It would be a great help if someone would tell me how to import the Expected finish date in P6 using Excel import. I actualized the start of an activity by changing the actual start date and tried to change the Expected finish date the same way....but the activity got actualized but didnt get the expected finish date .
Plz help

Since the Excel export has an * before the name, that indicates it can't be imported. How about creating a UDF (User Defined Field) for Activitiy Finish Dates, Importing it and then doing a Global Change from the UDF to the Expected Finish? That should work.

Is it possible to import an excel list or excel data into a SharePoint List that has already been created? Not create a new list.
I know you can import a spreadsheet which will create a new list, but I don't want that because I have created columns already that do calculations and such and I don't want to recreate them....
It can be either an excel or access list, but I want to make sure the pre-existing columns in still my SharePoint list.

Open excel and copy the range
Paste in datasheet view
If column range match and validation overcome, data will start pasting as expected.

How to get the finished date of production order

hi guys
now i want to get the finished date of production date. when i search in the table afko , i found the field GLTRI is '0000.00.00'.
BUT IN the production order display view , the confirm date is '2007.1.1'. so how can i get the confirm date with the production order number? thanks.

For costing report, you have to read the following tables: based on material Qty/value/ Machine rate and machine posting date , machine rate ( T-code kp26) and also types of material Raw, finished and semi finished ..
AFRU ,AFPO,AFKO,AFVV,AFVC,CAUFV FOR PRODUCTION ORDER.
For material calculation MARA, MSEG and MKPF as well as MAKT...

How to make the 'Finish Date' field Editable in Project server 2013

Hi All,
In Project server 2013 on premises deployment, When I try to create a new enterprise project [Also in case of new custom project type], Only the 'Start Date' field is available. The 'Finish Date' field is by default taking the value of the 'start Date' itself.
I am unable to make this 'Finish Date' field editable.
Any pointers on this would be very helpful,

When you create a new project in either Microsoft Project Professional or Project Online, the system does not allow you to enter both a Start date and a Finish date for the project. Here is how the software works:
You enter the Start date of the project.
You completely plan the project with tasks, task dependencies, task Durations, and assigning resources to tasks.
Based on the Start date you provide, plus all of the task information, the software calculates the Finish date of the project for you. So, you cannot provide both the Start date and the Finish date, nor is they any way to force the system to allow
you to do this. Hope this helps.

After you open your Access database and do a file, export, external data, scroll down for ODBC and PICK A NAME FOR YOUR NEW ORACLE DATABASE IN CAPITAL LETTERS, you sign in and the export begin...
Have fun, and remember that if you have special caracter, like me in french, you must errase all of them, because you never know what it is gonna be in Oracle DB.

Timeline Start and Finish Dates - how to not display finish dates for tasks not added to timeline

I have a project, Project 1, with start date 1 Jan 2014 and finish date 31 Dec 2014. When I switch to timeline view, the timeline spans this period. I now want to create a second view for a sub project within Project 1, called Project 1A. It
starts 1 June 2014 and finishes 31 August. I only want to see Project 1A's tasks and time span on this second custom timeline view. I create the new view, add the tasks from Project 1A to the timeline, and save the view as CustomView1A. My problem: CustomView1A
shows the tasks for Project 1A, but also shows the dead space between 1 Jan 2014 and 1 June 2014, as well as the dead space between 31 August and 31 December.
I dont want to see the dead space. I want CustomView 1A's timeline to start and finish on Project 1A's start and finish dates.
How do I adjust CustomView 1A's timeline borders on the left and right to exclude the dead space?

I checked in CO41 and it allows me to convert planned order to production order and not have any provision to re-scheduling the planned order . Any function to reschedule planned order to future dates ( whose start dates and finish dates are in past ) ?

I got this. We need to use power query add in for this.
EXCEL 2013 -> POWER QUERY -> From Web
Enter the URL for the REST end point and click ok. Power Query editor will show up with the URL and list of your data.
click on the list -> Right click->drill down
You will see the no of records the API returned.
Right Click on List in that table -> To Table and say ok in the next dialog.
On the displayed columns, there will be a double sided arrow, click on that and select the rows you want to import.
There you go. You will all the data.
Click on Apply and close. This will import the data into your excel file.

How to import a Numbers data without to be an image (we need to modify it)

I just want to know ifit is possible to import a Numbers data with the possibility to modify it after the importation (like we do in Excel).
To be clear, I want to make a Numbers data, import it in Pges and after continue to modify in Numbers. I don't want to import an image, I want to keep the possibility of modification.

I'm still not 100% sure what you want to achieve, so I give two answers, at least one of which will be irrelevant.
1. If you just want to get data from Numbers to pages, simply make a copy and paste, and you are done.
2. If you want to keep a link to the data, like with OLE in the MS world, there is no such thing. Once data is imported to Pages it is Pages data. If you change it in Numbers, you need to reimport (copy/paste) it to Pages.

How to import and append data on existing table ?

I have done export data from tmp_nv2_nrm_ain table into some file using the command as below:-

The question is how could i import the data from file back to database without overwrite any data on the TMP_NV2_NRM_AIN table.

As far as I know, the GPinventory tool Supported Operating System :Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, I suppose it generated XML file with Excel 2003 schema, but Excel 2013 have a new XML schema. This issue usually caused by the XML scheme.
Please create a Excel 2013 schema XML file
to test with Excel 2013, if the file could be import well. We'd better check the generated XML file.
As a workaround, we'd better save the results as
a tab-delimited text file and then import to Excel 2013.
If this issue still exists, please upload the XML file through OneDrive. I want to test it.

How to import .dbf file data in oracle 9i table?

Problem is not clear!, What is this .dbf file is ?
Was that a part of the database before and if so then which is the tablespace its associated with ?( if its part of database and exported the metadata then go through the Bhupinder's suggn.)
or
You have binary or text data within it. ?
or
You mean its some external file like .doc or .xls and u want load that into Bfile or blob column of a table...?
Simply just having extention as .dbf oracle will not accept it by anymeans..

Earlier I was able to import Oracle metadata from BISAMPLE.
I used OBEE 1.5
Database is 11gR2
What should I do to see other AW's then BISAMPLE?

Problem/question:
I can't figure out how to import midi timecode data from either an Ensoniq ASR-10 or Roland VS-880 Vxpanded into Logic Express 9, so I can then use Logic Express 9 as the master. No manuals seem to explain that; I just can't find it.
Background/basics:
1. My ultimate goal will be to move all midi data from the Ensoniq ASR-10 floppies and all digital audio files from the VS-880 into Logic Express 9. Once the midi timing is imported into a Logic Express 9 file, I'll import the data from the Ensoniq & Roland via steps 2a & 2b below.
1a. Ten years ago I somehow (am in the process of re-learning what I did 10 years ago) imported the midi timing into the Roland VS-880 Vxpanded from the ASR-10, and then used the VS-880 as the Master to control the ASR-10. So my current status is that I use the Roland VS-880 as the master, and the Ensoniq ASR-10 as the slave.
2. FYI for anyone who might be in the same boat, wanting to transfer stuff from an Ensoniq ASR-10 and Roland VS-880 to the computer:
2a. I will import all midi sequence data from my ASR-10 floppy disks via a utility purchased here, which will all a PC to read Ensoniq-formatted disks, and then just hopefully cut/paste midi files into Logic Express 9 (FYI only): www.chickensys.com

I'm don't think that cutting/pasting the midi data into a Logic Express 9 sequence file (step 2a above) will do that, because there are all kinds of tempo & time signature changes in the midi files unfortunately.

How to import SSiS file to BPC 7.5

I am new to the BPC world and am having trouble learning how to import a master data file from ECC to BPC 7.5. I also need to be able map the property names and add "CC_" to the beginning of each Cost Center. Help would be greatly appreciated.

You could read through the thread [Create BPC - Dimension with SSIS Admin Task; to get an idea.
But in essence it might be easier to modify the AdminMakeDim SSIS package and use a DataFlow task which imports the flat file into a SQL table and then in your BPC Dynamic script you pass the name of the table to the task.
Just a few points to note: make sure that the source, or where the table is is in the same database as the Appset database. For example: if you have a staging database even if you qualify the name of the object (DBName.dbo.tblName) it doesn't work, it needs to be in the appset database.
The structure of the table needs to be the same structure as the mbrDimension table. I have tried various methods (additional or less columns), but I have found that if you mirror the structure of the mbrDimension table, it gives less issues.
If you want to apply any logic to you master data, you can use Execute SQL task to execute a SQL procedure which applies your defined checks.

How assignmnt finish date is calculated in project plan

We enable Single Entry Mode, protect acutals in our environments, and during our testing, we found that the Finish date of the task is auto re-calculated while the hours input is diffferently from the planned hours. And we have tested with different scenarios:
Fixed Work, Fixed Duration, Fixed Units etc, but we still do not understand the exact calculation logic of the new Finish date.
Does Microsoft have any document descrbing this logic?

Hi Kevin,
It is normal that the finish date is recalculated by Project. When the team member enter actual work starting later from the start date, after the task update is approved and the project published, Project pushes the actual work, updates the actual start
date then recalculate the finish date based.
This is actually why you do use a project planning software as Microsoft Project: you want the application to help you forecasting your project dates. If you do not want Project to recalculate, then you miht consider using a simpler tool like Excel.
Basically the process is that the team member gives the information that the task started later than planned, the project manager approves the start date and the actual work. Project calculates the planned finish date. But the last step is very important:
the project manager should review how did MS Project do the recalculation and update the project plan with the remaining work and eventually add or move resources on assignments to adjust the capacity and delivery dates based on priority.
