How to include components into mxml file?

I have an mxml file with multiple states and it is getting
quite large. I would like to divide these states into their own
components. How can i include these into the mxml file?

I couldn't be happier that you asked this question and if you
don't mind I'd like to extend on it a touch since it directly
relates to my topic.
I am right with Dr. Goomba (Great name) when it comes to
filesize of a single application.
The flash player has always been a big proponent of small
file size and fast dowloads to ensure our users have a pleasant
experience in our applications. I have been going through the
documentation tirelessly and the only mention I really see as a
supporter of that theory is "RSL" documentation which, believe it
or not, actually advises against them unless you are using them
across multiple apps.
So, my question is a tack on to Dr. Goomba (Answer his first,
this is just a supporter):
Has Flex 2 moved us away from fast delivery? I have an
application already up to 300k that could easily reach the 700k
range (I think, based on my total progress so far) - It doesn't
seem to me that the focus is still on loading things in parts like
the MX 2004 RIA days.

May be it depends on the files size.
I tried yesterday to combine 50 files at the time and it just blocked everything...

To combine more than 12 files into a single PDF file:
1. Combine file 1 to file 12 then name it (combined 1 for example)
2. Combine file 13 to file 24 then name it (combined 2 for example)
3. Keep doing those steps #1 and #2 then combine "combined 1, Combine 2.....Combine 12).
Another way is to use Adobe Acrobat. Please download Acrobat XI Pro Trial version from www.adobe.com or you can upgrade your subscription to Acrobat Plus(please see more information about Acrobat Plus subscription at https://www.acrobat.com/acrobatplus/en/home.html?trackingid=JPZKR).
In Acrobat XI Pro:
1. Launch Acrobat
2. Select "File" menu > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF
3. Click "Add Files" button at top left corner
4. After adding your files click "Combine" button at the bottom of the dialog.

If you want the same export settings on some or all of the images you can select all that have the same export requirements and export them as a group.
If all the images have the same requirements then you can select them all and run the export command.

I used the java.io.SequenceInputStream to concatenate two input streams (basically .pdf files) into a single input stream. I need to create a single multipage pdf file using this input stream.

Only text format allows you to concatenate two files together to get a longer files.
Most formats have a header and a footer and so you cannot simply add one to the other.
You need to use a PDF API which will allow you to build the new document (if one exists)

flv files. But how could I realize this? If I use the Flash
program I can
build a swf file that can play ONE flv file. But I don´t
want to build 500

Perhaps have all the link along with flv player within same
file. All the links
load the flv in same player.
It could be XML driven and automatically populated. The
easiest to maintain when
comes to so much content.

You can do this just put all the script in the mxml block in seperate AS file as shown below... Observe that I have included an AS file named Script.as and removed the script block form mxml and moved to this Script.as file. Place the Script.as file in your src folder ....

How to store data into a file from a host VI developed for Compact RIO

I am new to the CompactRIo.I have developed a VI which runs on the FPGA(CompactRIO) which continuously monitors tha data from a system and i have developed a host VI to read the data and i am successfully getting the data into my computer and i want that data to store into a file.When i use the write to spreadsheet VI for writing into a file.The data is not written into file can anybody tell me why this is happening?

1.As you said to connect to ftp://xx.xx.xx.xx i have seen some extra files along with my files waht are they? waether my data files are stored in flash memory of RT controller?if so, how to clear those files?
2.Suppose i want to clean up the flash memory of RT contrller i.e suppose i have deployed some file earlier , now i want to cleanup those i dumped into the memory how to do that?
3.How to disable the Application running on the RT controller when it powers on? i.e. when i switch on the power it should be connected but nothing hould be running on.
4.I mean at the end of the experiment when i stopped the host VI by pressing stop button weather application running on the RT controller will stop and weather FPGA VI runnibg on that also stop if not how to stop?

How to insert characters into a file using Labview

I have collected acoustic data that I am turning into wav files. After the collection, I now know the file size and need to insert the wav file header on top of this file. Can anyone tell me how to concatenate two files, or insert the wav header (string) data into the other file? My current method is very inefficient. The collected data file can become extremely large, so I am trying to avoid reading this file. I would rather poke data into it without overwriting any existing data. Thanks in advance.

See attached vi. It is a modification of NI warite wav vi. It only writes header. So Write a default header, append your data and write heder again using the number of bytes of audio.

How to download data into XLSX file in ABAP ECC 6.0 using FM: GUI_DOWNLOAD or any other FunctionModules

Any one help on this , there is a requirement to download the data into XLSX file only.
I am able to to download the data into XLS file using the FM: GUI_DOWNLOAD in SAP ECC 6.0and also opening the file . But when i download the data into XLSX file . I am able to download the data into GUI_DOWNLOAD. But while opening the file i am getting the below mentioned error.
'Excel cannot open the file 'filename.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file'
Ok buttom is coming not able to open the file.
When i use the FM: SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT to download the XLS it self it is going abap DUMP that file type error.
Any one help any Function Module or how to download data through abap programing into XLSX file.

If you want to download your ALV to an .XLXS format file, with all the formatting intact, please try the following code. How to enable commenting into pdf files using java?

Hi All,
Is there any way available to enable comments into pdf files through java. I have a Adobe Reader 9 and also I want put some comments into pdf file, but the reader is not allowed to place a comment into pdf file before enabling the Comments into pdf. After enabling the comments in pdf file then only we can place the comments and we can the pdf file with comments.
Is there any way available to enable comments into pdf file to view acrobat reader.

The end user who uses the web application has Acrobat installed in their mahcine needs it only for the purpose of enabling comments in pdf. If this task of enabling comments in pdf is done through my application there is no need for acrobat in such user's machine which was requested as a cost cuttnig measure.
For this purpose, i need to know about how to enable comments in pdf through java api.
I have used itext java api for other pdf related manipulation in java. But it does not have feature as per the requirement posted above. Can any body suggest relevant java api to achieve the task requested?

How to include ehp4 into ecc60 upgrade

Hi ,
I have a question about EHP4 and upgrade.
I have SAP R/3 4.7 win/sql 64bit and i want to include EHP4 into the upgrade.
I have downloaded EHP4 stack from MOPZ .
Is during the prepare that sap ask me to include EHP4 : so if i answer yes what will appen ? prepare search for the xml file and bind the EHP4 in the same way of the sap pathc (BINDPATH)?
Is r3up that automatically include EHP4 into the upgrade during downtime or ,at the finish of r3p, i have to run the
ehpi installer and do SPDD and SPAU more than one time ?

Hi,
You can do the upgrade untill ECC 6.0 EHP4 in one step, just download the files or put an order with SAP so they can send you the media. There is a set for upgrade specifically for this. If you wanted to upgrade to ECC 6.0 EHP1, EHP2 or EHP3 then you need to do it in two steps but in your scenario only one step is necesary.
By the way now you will use SAPup, not R3up like before

How to include dll into a stand-alone application

Hi, I wrote a vi to process images from my camera, and I want to build a stand-alone application(exe), so I can share the application with my friends. I just do as wht's in the Labview help, but when I run the exe file in other PC, it tells me I haven't nivision.dll etc. My question is how to find out the dll files in my vi and include these files in the stand-alone application?

To be honest I am not sure. Its been a while since have used the vision run-time engine. Before I installed it on the target computer. I ddn't include it with my application build.

Converting .swf files into .mxml files

Hi,
I am working on a flex based project.
We need to developa a rich UI application using flex.
Our UI team is not comfortable with mxml.
But team is pretty comfortable with flash.
I was just wondering whether it is possible if UI team
creates UI screens using flash and provide us with .swf files for
the screens and we could convert them in to mxml file and will add
active scripting for dynamic behavior.

No, you can't reasonably decompile a swf to mxml.
However, the Flash guys can create the components as SWCs,
which you can glue together with a little bit of mxml and AS.
There are some good docs on this subject.

How to write data into a file

I want to write data from a string into a file. I am created a directory and a .doc file . But when i write this data from a string into .doc file , its give an error : File not found exception
But, when i check in my directory, a file is created with blank.

Ummm.... no. InputStreams are for reading, not for writing.
Anyway, OP, you're making a mistake. You're trying to open a stream to a file called "This is for dedo". Use FileOutputStream(File file) constructor or FileOutputStream(String pathToFile). You can then wrap that stream with a PrintWriter or whatever you need.
