How to Incorporate new Plants in COPA

Dear All,
Actually we have gone live with SCM Project on 15th Sept and we have created two new Plants 5100 & 5200.
We have investigated that sales from newly created plant 5100 and 5200 were not captured in COPA, The difference in GL and COPA is due to this.
So I just want to know how we can capture these two plants in COPA. What is the configuration to incorporate these two Plants in COPA?
Your help in this matter will be definitely appreciated.

Normally we only define that the Characteristic (WERKS=Plant) is active for the Operating Concern and not the Value of the Characteristic such as Plant 5100 & 5200.
If you say there there is a difference do you mean in a report you have written for your organisation then check if the plant has not been hardcoded in the report definition. Check the standard line item report if the data is given by these plants in KE24.
If this is not the case, check if the Org Structures have been defined that is that the Plants and Sales Orgs and Company code assignment which in turn assigned to CO Area and Operating Concern facilitates the flow of values to COPA for these new plants.
Hope this helps

  • How to create new plant, purchasing org, purchasing group

    hi,
    how to create:
    1. new plant
    2. purchasing org
    3. purchasing group
    4.storage location ... in SAP-GUI
    rgrds,
    Piyush

    Hi Piyush,
As path has been already provided in previous post.
    For New Plant :
Once you are in define-copy-delete-check plant.
    select Copy-delete-check plant
thne press F6 for copy org. object
Usally copy-delete-check plant is selected it will copy all exisiting tables of that plant to new plant.
    For new Purchase Org. :
Once you are in screen select "new enteries "or "copy as" whatever you like.
Then you have to assign purchasing orgnization to plant or company code.. in aasigment > Materials management
    for New Purchasing group :
From path already mentioned earlier either create new or copy as ...
moreover there is no assigment needed its just a group of purchasing . You can use p.grp with any p.org if checks are not there however these checks will be there based on procurement process. In our orgnization its there. ie System will not allow you to use some purchasing group for import / sub contracting etc.
For new Storage location I have already posted in your previous thread.

  • How to add new column to COPA datasource?

    Dear all,
It seems we have to delete the COPA datasource and regenerate it when we need add new column, if so,we should regenerate the initialIzation for the delta.
Beacause only the new delta data need have value for new column,so I do not want to reextract the historical data,do you have any solution?
    Best regards
    Simon

    Hi Simon
You are correct, COPA DS need to be regenerated.
Initialize without Data Transfer might help you. But was thinking how do you manage the 'lost' delta in between the processes?
I m not sure about your flows i.e how data moves from PSA to cube  but I think at least you should
Initialize the delta for the current fiscal year ( with Data Transfer) and then continue with delta.
Which type of COPA you are using? Account based or Cost Based? For Acc Based delta initialization starts from summarization level , so you also need to fill up summarization level at least for the current year.

  • How to add a new plant from a different R3 into the existing new GL design

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where we have a BI system already functional and the the FI reports like balance sheet is already available on the Portal.
This flow is based on standard business content for new GL concept
Now a new plant has been acquired and that plant already has R/3 and it's own G/L accounts.
Now we have to build 2 reports:
1 - The balance sheet for the new plant.
2 - Consolidated balance sheet for the complete organization including the new plant G/.L accounts.
    DS: Leading Ledger Balances (0FI_GL_10)
    0FI_GL_10 --> 0FIGL_O10 --> 0FIGL_C10 (for Totals)- 0FIGL_V10
    0FI_GL_10 --> 0FIGL_R10 (Remote cube) --> 0FIGL_V11
How best can we merge this new plant?

    Hi,
SEM-BCS or BI-BPC NW 7.0N is meant for similar kind of requirements. You'll probably need to get a functional guy involved for mapping the GL accounts from the new company to your existing one and have journal entries for inter-company transactions. After doing the same you can then consolidate both the data and have a common output.
search about BPC or BCS and you'll find out more. If you still need to do it in existing BI setup then get someone from FI and set the mappings of GL Accounts from both set the business rules and create a new cube to load the consolidated data.
    Hope this helps

  • New plant created, how to create/configure personnel area & sub area for it

    Hi Gurus,
I am very new to SAP HR, our clinet has plans to open a new plant for their organization.
Now we need to create a personnel area and personnel sub area.
Can you please explain how to configure the Personnel area and sub area through SPRO for the new plant?
Also, is it neccessary to assign the newly created PA and PSA to already present employee subgroups?
    Thanks in advance.
    Akash.

    Hi,
You can create PA & PSA thru
    spro : Enterprise structure - Definition - HRM - PA & PSA
spro : Enterprise structure - Assignemnt - HRM - PA to CC.
There is no direct relationship between a plant and PA&PSA info.
You can either create PAs inline with your plants or not.
It depends on your firms's enterprise structure.
There is no assignemnt between PA & PSA and employee groups.
You need to only assign newly created PA to company code.

  • How to extend commodity codes list to a new plant?

    Dear friends,
I've created a new plant in our organization.
I would like to use the same commodity codes we use for the other plants.  It means thousands commodity codes.
I guess there is a way in SAP to copy commodity codes from one plant to another one.
Could you please let me know how to do that?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
You can use LSMW for this purpose.
You can use standard LSMW or do recording for this.
In the LSMW, enter only plant specific data for input file.

  • How can I incorporate new backing beans into a Webcenter Spaces Server?

I am using the WebCenterSpaces application in Customization Developer Role to make changes to some taskflows for a customer. In order to implement a desired change in the Nav Model for the customer, I had to write 3 very small backing beans. They compiled fine, the taskflow let me add them as managed beans. It even new about these backing beans, presumably because I compiled them. I made changes to the .jsff file to use them and that worked fine. However the metadata.mar created when I deploy the application does not have these new classes, so they will not get put into the WC_Spaces server when I use WLST to import the metadata. Can anybody tell me how to get new backing beans into WebCenter Spaces?
I cant be the only one who has had to do this.
    Thanks.

I don't know if you can import as part of the metadata import but an alternative will be to create a shared library out of your java classes and referencing the shared lib in spaces.

  • Reg:T-CODE for open and close period for materials(new plant).

    hi sap guru's
    T-code for following process
can anybody send me , how to create calendar to new plant . and what is the T-code to be use for open and close period of materials for new plant.
    thanks
    sakthi..

    Hi Sakthi,
I am assuming that you are asking about the factory calendars which are assigned while difing the plant.
Factory calendars are created through transaction "SCAL".
Opening and closing of MM periods can be done through transaction MMPV.This is based on the company code. Before using MMPV ,you can look the last opened period in the transaction MMRV.
    Reward points if it helps.

  • Creation of new plant and the impact of business

    Hi to all
i am creating a new plant, and would like to know the impact of the plant, what are the changes to be made in the customization, i want to know what are the chages required, and let me know after unit testing and integration testing what activity to be performed, as i am at go live stage and in the production client how to extended the master data,  what is data migration how it can be done,
    thanking you

    Hi there,
As an SD consultant, these are the things you need to take care.
Assign the plant to the company code in OX18.
You need to assign the new plant to the sales org / distribution channel in OVX6.
Then assign the shipping point to plant in OVXC. If WH is active for your plant, then assign warehouse WH to plant & storage location in LE assignment.
Reg the master data, you need to assign the material master to the new plant. Also maintain the MRP profiles, plant specific data in the MM01.
Maintain the shipping point determination in OVL2 & storage loc determination in OVL3 (OVL3 if required)
Check with MM, PP & FI if they need to maintain any plant specific configs. There are some configs from their end for sure. For eg for production orders, purchase orders, movement types etc.
Reg the testing, you need to ensure that plant gets proposed automatically when a new sales order is created. Also maintain the relevent plant specific condition records.
Similarly when PGI is done, it should update the transfer postings in MM & FI w.r.t plant.
Even tough your project is in final stages, you have to do a regrious testing when a new plant is created. Testing cannot be compromised for time lines. It will lead to serious production issues if tsting is not properly done.

  • Purchase of Raw Mat by New Plant (CoCd New) from Old Plant (CoCd Old), STO?

    Dear all
Our HQ which has an operating Plant A belonged to Company Code (CoCd) A,has acquired Plant B belonged to Company Code B.
And due to the supply change management issue and strategic business location, HQ has decided to move both Plant A and Plant B into a new location (both Plant A and B are located quite far from each other) and these 2 plants are going to be consolidated into a new Plant C with new Company Code C. And CoCd A and B will then cease to operate.
Now, due to the legal requirements, CoCd C will need to purchase all the raw materials from both CoCd A and CoCd B respectively at a different date due to the plant move.
Previously, I have come out with the solutions
    1. Extend the material codes of Plant A & B to Plant C. Extend the SLOC as well.
    2. Plant C will create normal PO to buy from Plant A, with vendor = Plant A. Price will take from Supplying Plant A.
    3. Plant C will perform GR reference to this PO. Here the Stock Account of Plant C will be Debit.
    4. To reduce Stock Account of Plant A, perform GI to Scrap. Then FICO will do double entry to bring the value to Customer Account which is Plant C.
    5. Since we do not PGI or touch on SD, there is no billing doc and manual customer invoice has to be done.
However, on 2nd thought, I think of to use Stock Transport Order. However, there are a few types of Stock Transport Order in SAP HELP:
    1. STO between Plants with 1 step
    2. STO between Plants with 2 steps
    3. STO with SD delivery
    4. STO without Delivery
    5. STO with SD delivery and billing.
We are running against time and would prefer not to touch on anything in SD to do STO. And we do not need to monitor the Stock Transit as physical plant move will take place first, that make STO in PLant with 2 steps no applicable.
    Requirement:
    1. PO raised must take the standard price in Material Master of the supplying plant.
    2. It involves buying of stocks of 1 new plant C from the old plant A & B at the respective time. Accoutning document and relevant posting must be audited for legal purpose.
    3. If possible, we prefer not to touch on SD or the complicated solution to achieve this purpose.
I have read a lot about the above 5 types of STO but I am unsure which one is best suit me. Please advise.
    Thanks.

I just tested with Option 4: Create STO without SD Delivery.
However, in the PO itself, it does not even have the INVOICE TAB at the item level. How am I going to perform Invoice Verfication to put the 17 % input tax which is very important?
However, I have proceded with my testing for STO without Delivery
    1. Create PO with UB Doc Type and Item Category U, supply plant = Plant A. However, there is no Invoice Tab at the item.
    2. Perform GI reference PO, MVT 351. Here due to come missing config, I have done the following:
         a.Company Clearing Account
         b.Create customer master  CoCd CN10
c.Create vendor master for CoCd CN50
d.Account type D is not defined for document type WA. Go to OBA7 to tick Customer.
e.Account type K is not defined for document type WA. Go to OBA7 to tick Vendor
1 Material doc with 2 accounting doc generated, each for CoCd C and CoCd A
    4. Perform GR referenc ePO, MVT 101.
1 Material doc generated with no accounting doc.
    5. MMBE Stock Overview, stock quantity of Plant A is now transferred to new plant C.
There is no way I can do invoice as in MIRO, it said my PO contains no item.
I desperately need my perform STO to have
    (a) Invoice Verification to capture input tax 17%
    (b) Delivery Cost maintained.
I do not want to complicate the material master maintenance of the sales view of all my 16000 raw materials. That is why I prefer not to go for STO with SD DElivery.
    Can anyone please advise?

  • Extending the existing functional locations to a new plant?

    Hi Sapiens,
    The following is my concern:
Q1) I have a set of functional locations(roughly around 5000 records) assigned to say Plant A.
I would like to extend these existing functional locations to Plant B. I am not permitted to do this using LSMW. I should execute this operation in one shot.
    How to accomplish this?
Q2) After attaching all the functional locations to Plant B, i should replace the first 4 characters of the functional location structure with the Plant Code itself. Again not through an lsmw. How to accomplish this in one shot?
Please let me know the procedure of doing it with some guidelines.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vijaya

    Hi
    1. You can extentd to the other plant with SCAT ,BDC etc
    2. But You can not replace the first four letters from the FL with the New plant code.Remember this is a master data

    Hi,
This is understandable how to extend data to new plant; however, is there any way material master can be extended with whole range or material group or material can be extended individually only.

    hi
See you have to record the values through SHDB. The recording is send to ABAPER for BDC programme. This prog needs CSV, or tab delimited file with values which can be uploaded
