How to incorporate "walk out" video onto a website?

Does anyone have any experience getting a cutout video of a person talking, onto a website? Obviously these are shot in front of a green screen (which I am working on getting set-up) but what is the process from there? Thanks.

Try Creative Cow's Dreamweaver or Flash forums.< </div>
The Cow bellows.
You will need to talk very carefully with the webheads at the site you're working for. They must be able to tell you exactly what codec and pixel dimensions for this clip. If they can't, you and your clients are in big trouble.
There are only a few ways to carry the alpha for video that plays on a web site but they're mutually exclusive and depend on where and how the video is played or viewed. A banner will need animated gifs, maybe, but a complicated interactive piece may need an FLV wrapper.

How do I burn a video onto a dvd out of imovie 11?
Also the program churns and churns, till I'm able to do something else. Why so slow? Is there any render button?

Here is a step by step on how to create a DVD from iMovie 10 using iDVD 7.1.2. If you do not have iDVD, you can probably substitute Toast (or one of the programs Pieter mentioned) everywhere I used iDVD (I don't have Toast so can't verify this).
    1. Create a project in iMovie 10.0.1
    2. Go to File>Share>File... and for Size choose Large 540P (960 x 540) and click Next
    3. Choose a location on the hard drive to save the file to.
    4. Wait for the blue circle activity indicator to finish.
    5. In Finder, verify that iMovie created an MP4 file in the location specified in step 3.
    6. Open iDVD and click "Create New Project."
    7. Give the project a name and save it to your hard drive.
    8. Drag the file you created earlier from the Finder into your iDVD project window.
(or go to File>Import>Video... and choose your video there)
    9. Make any adjustments to drop zones, etc.
    10. Click the burn button.
    11. Insert a DVD and let it do its thing.
This produces a working DVD for me.
    Here are my software specs:
    OS X 10.9 Mavericks
    iMovie 10.0.1

  • Problem creating walk-out videos

I'm trying to create a walk-out video by exporting from After Effects, using the VP6 codec. Sound didn't export, so I brought a WAVE file into a Flash stage and saved as swf. Brought the swf on a layer in Dreamweaver. The audio is unacceptable. When exported from another codec or directly to flv in AF, the transparency is lost, but the audio plays okay. Obviously, there's a better way to do this, like the website http://www.talkingheads.com/ .
    Here's what I've got so far http://www.cestcop.com/Heads/Mike_3.htm
    Thanks ahead for your help!
    -Mike Carroll

When exported from another codec or directly to flv in AF, the transparency is lost,
Make sure you are actualyl enabling Alpha channel usage. aside from that, transparency usage requires proper support in whatever player you use to embed, usualyl by setting variables in the surrounding JS code. Since the performance hit is considerable, it's optional and off by default. Similarly, your audio issues could be just that. Also sounds like you're embedding teh video and audio in the SWF, which is fundamentally evil. Keep them external and stream them to the stage, rather than making the player cringe by enforcing synchronous redraw of the whole SWF...

  • How do you black out video w white titles showing   audio playing  ,than slowly fade to reveal video

How do you black out video w white titles showing   audio playing  ,than slowly fade to reveal video

From the Transitions browser (far right of iMovie's window, shaped like an hourglass), drag the Fade to Black transition to the gap between the Title and video thumbnail. Alternatively, drag the Cross Dissolve transition - rather than fading to black, the image will gradually transform from the Title to the video.
Double-click the transition to open the Inspector - you can change the duration there if preferred.
    John
PS. Re-reading your question, if the video is continuous with a Title inserted, you will need to split the clip at the point where the Title ends, then drag in the transition. To split the clip, right-click (or Control-click) at the split point then select "Split Clip" from the pop-up menu.

  • How can I import a video from a website

I'm trying to create a slideshow with pictures and music but I would also like to show a video from this website www.212movie.com I want to show this video at the beginning of my slideshow. Any help would be appreciated.

what you call a video, is a .swf 'animation', shockwave flash. downloading that .swf creates only the 'loader' of the following 'video'.-
I guess, the owner of that website has good reasons to probit any downloads ...
for sure, using any screengrabber tools as Screenflow, Jing, SnapZ or QuicktimeX-built-in screenrecording feature etc. would 'allow' it.. but those captures usually are way-off any standard, a video should have, esp. resolution (=quality drops)
ahh, and Welcome, melindanoland, to the  iMovie boards ..

  • How do I get .mov video onto my 80gig iPod?

I have followed the instructions but I keep getting an error message saying that it can not be viewed on my iPod. I have the 5th gen 80gig model which should do video just fine. I have downloaded the .mov video into iTunes but it will not let me put it on the iPod, I keep getting the same error message. There is plenty of room on the iPod. Also, is there a why to convert Video_TS files so they can also go onto the iPod?

Not sure of what instructions you followed, here is a link on how to convert files for playing on your ipod. It includes freeware programs that work well. There is also another freeware program that I use and like, I will give you a couple of good links. http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=123067

There are many, many free programs out there. Be advised that there are spammers that fish this site and will lead you to there pay sites. There are many good pay programs out there as well, just be careful on which one, many do not offer refunds if it does not work and some are really second rate, I have tried one cucosoft and it is not that good and they do not offer a refund as well. see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=792280&tstart=0

  • How do i get my videos onto imovie?

to edit them??? do i need to change the format... how? how can i get videos from my camcorder onto the computer, or photobooth onto imovie?

Ok so you can get the DVD onto your computer through various methods. Handbrake, MPEG Streamclip are good choices
If you want to further edit them then I would suggest encoding with H.264, MPEG-4 seems to work with iMovie.
If you have the source footage that is ultimately recommended if you are going to edit as the content ripped off the DVD will be compressed

  • How do I burn my videos onto dvd

I tried burning a video playlist onto DVD afterwards I tried playing it but the files could not be read. Please Help!

Movies and TV Shows purchased from iTunes Store cannot be burned to DVD in a format readable by traditional DVD Players. you are only able to burn them as data, readable by other iTunes capable computers.

  • How do I get my project with video onto my website?

I just want to be able to upload my project, which is a mixture of slides with video. There seems to be multiple ways to upload, but I don't know which method to use over another and while I've tried doing so the videos don't work.
So I tried again and tried to link my videos that I currently host on Amazon S3 into my project, but it won't let me do that.  Is there a way to do that? If I can't use Amazon S3, where should I host my videos?  What am I doing wrong??
    I'm using Captivate 7 (32 bit)
I've slides with audio added and videos embedded as a video object.
Much of Captivate is very easy and intuitive to create projects, but I want to get this up online.
Maybe I'm completely missing the point and it's really easy, but I'm now so confused I don't know what to do.
A simple guide to uploading a project would be very helpful.
    Thanks

Have you tried bouncing yet? Underneath your Main Stereo Outs there is a little button for Bouncing. Hit that and a menue will open. Choose the format you want to bounce (44.1/16 Bit perhaps) and set the beginning and end point of your Song. If you setup a cycle for the whole length of the Song it will automatically take the Locators as the the Bounce In and Out Points. There is also the option "add to iTunes Library" in that menue, so choose that and later burn a CD from your iTunes library.

  • How do I stream live video on my website or via Quick Time?

Okay, so I've searched these discussions and have found many people with the same question going unanswered.
Basically. Our dog is at home, just out from surgery and we want to keep an eye on him from work.
I've downloaded Quick Time Broadcaster to our MacBook and am using the built in iSight camera on it. I am able to broadcast via the application "Quick Time Broadcaster" and have been able to view the live video stream through Quick Time player from a second computer in our home. But I am unable to view the video at work using the same URL generated from QT Broadcaster. Maybe it's a firewall issue?
But more so... I'd like to embed the stream into my personal website. What do I need to do to set that up? I've also downloaded and setup Darwin Streaming Server, but it doesn't make much sense to me at this stage in time as to how to get that running and linked up through my personal web site. Anyone know how to set that up? So I can do something like www.mysitename.com/petcam
I'd like to be able to view the video via the web using an address similar to something like that, but via my personal web domain.
Worse case... I'd like to at least be able to watch the stream via Quick Time player from work... like I can from home. Any work arounds or steps I'm missing so I can view this at home? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks

Thanks for the link... lots of good stuff in there.
I did read about EvoCam in another thread here. I was hoping it would of been as easy as writting some code into an HTML doc and uploading it to my webserver with the proper IP link. Guess it's not quite that simple... or complicated. I was also hoping to be cheap and not have to buy anything. The price of EvoCam at $25 bucks isn't so bad. I'll look into it when I get home this evening. There were also a few other applications at that link that seem to do the same thing. Wondering if they'll all give me the same results? Or is EvoCam the cure all with the best results and options...?
Thanks for the input. Any further suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.

  • Any ideas on how to incorporate a simple database into my website?

Firstly I am to create a website that will survey the user on what their ideal laptop would be (each answer would relate to a certain brand or model of laptop); once the user has filled out the survey I went to be able to tally up their results to work out which record in the pre-existing database would be best suited...
This would be a simplified example,
    Which brand would you prefer:
    Apple  ( )        HP      ( )         Sony    ( )
    Price range:
    100   ( )       200    ( )     300     ( )
I have attempted to just 'search the database' since each answer has is representing a record in the database; however this does not take into account various answers across the survey (Will only search and display for the price, while ignoring what brand, etc.)
The database is on phpmyadmin, whether that makes any difference.
Perhaps there is a simple line of code that will handle all this, but I'm relatively new to the whole thing so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Having a bit of trouble getting it to work, would you mind looking over my code to see where I've messed up?

  • How to upload a photo editor onto a website?

I am building a website freepicedit.com on godaddy website builder and I want to upload a photo editor onto the site in JavaScript or PHP? Do you have any products that I can do that with ? Photoshop ?

This is a user to user forum. Adobe hardly ever visits the forum, but is known to from time to time. Photoshop can not be upload to a website server, not does it produce any code needed to edit an image.
Verify with GoDaddy, that you can upload php, not all services provide that permission.
Its best to use php for server side scripts and javascript for browser side scripts.
That said, there are site that provide free apps in both langauges. Be wary of using them, some create free apps just to gain access to your account. So make sure that programmer has a good reputation.
I recommend that you use a browser side script, just so the user does not have to wait for a response. Granted communication has improved greatly, server side code still provides a lag, that may be noticeable with mouse painting, etc.
What you can do though, is provide server side code that will do simple conversions, like formats, scaling, bit depth, etc. Do a search for imagemagick.
