How to input tapes from a DAT into garage band?

I have a Sony DAT recorder and I want to transfer my tapes into garage band. I tired using a stereo male to stereo male audio cable through the headphone jack on my mac and no sound can be detected by garage band. What type of cable/connector would I need to succesfully do this?

So, the logic I need to display is -
If, Type = P AND Country=US then count 1 where ID has 123AP1
else If Type = A AND Country=US then count 1 more where ID has 123AP1 on date 1/1/2009 (i.e. on Type P date)
So, result should show
ID
Type
Country
Date
Count
123AP1
P
US
1/1/2009
3
123A1
A
WO
4/4/2010
0
123A2
A

Please simplify the question while asking to make it easy to understand.. this question is very confusing to understand..
For your purpose you should be able to get the result using calculation context based count on a conditional variable with all your logic
Create a variable like below
var =if [Type] = 'P' [ID] = '123AP1' and [Country] = 'US' then 1 else if Type] = 'A' [ID] = '123A1' and [Country] <> 'US' thenn 1
And then create a formula on this variable like below
Count = sum([Var]) forall [Date]

You want to start with the driver
In case you do not know it, you can do the driver search in LabVIEW from Tools>Instrumentation>Find Instrument Drivers. You might also want to bookmark the Instrument Driver Network for information on what a driver is and how to use it.

If you have not auto imported the photos from the Photo Stream, as Larry suugests, select the photos that you want to import in the Photo Stream, and drag them to the "Events" view in the Source List. They will be imported as new events, auto split with respect to your preferences.

Hi,
I downloaded Bitpim but it doesn't list RAZRphone V3 as supported. I found the receipt for my phone and it is 4 years old. Bluetooth on the iMac is enabled, and is enabled on the phone. But when I enter "find me" on the phone, it shows it is paired with the iMac, but not connected. Then it says, it is not supported on the phone. I get an error on the iMac that says "An error occurred with the modem. Try reconnecting, if problem continues, verify your settings and contact your administrator." I'm lost.

How to record from mini disc player into garage band if possible

I have some audio recorded material on a minidisc player/recorder which i would like to put into the computer to work on-can i put it into garage band 2 ? and if not is thier a free or not free software/programme i can download in order to record in quality what i have on the minidisc recorder.Also can you suggest any programmes/software (like cubase)which i could use to work on the sounds i have put onto the apple mac.

Again, mine doesn't have a USB port, so the only way to get sound on the disk is to record it through it's line in (optical or 1/8" trs). My mini disk player is old.
I think the new ones do have a mp3 import function (and a USB port or something similar)...don't know how it works though...I think that it just records them through it's line in though...
A mini disk is like a very small cd-r that is constantly record enabled (unless you switch the tab), like a tape casette. There is an algorythm that allows the minidisk to hold as much info as it does...that's where my confusion comes in about how it imports/exports.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

I want to put this mp3 file in another track below the track that I am recording the vocal.
