How to insert ABAP PROXY in customized ABAP program

Hello experts,
I am a ABAP developer and I am developing a program to send XML strings to a legacy system using an ABAP PROXY but I have run into a roadblock as follows:
My PI colleagues who know PI but not ABAP have created a ABAP PROXY data type with the structure that I need to be populated from my program but cannot tell me how to get the data into this structure. They have directed me to SERVICE INTERFACES where there is a class and method EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS but this is where we all have a road block. I am not sure whether I have to just use this class and method in my program to populate the data type proxy previously created or whether a completely new proxy has to be created under service interfaces.
Any help would be appreciated.
regards

Hi David,
I thought you are using 7.0 ... sorry for the confusion.
Here are the steps that you can follow for proxy generation for SAP PI 7.1:-
TCode - SPROXY
1. The interface objects are ordered according to software component version, namespace and object type.
If no connection to the Integration Repository exists, the system only displays interface objects in the tree structure for which a proxy exists in the system.
2. Choose an interface object for which no proxy already exists. To create a proxy for this interface object, double click the context menu Create Proxy.
3. In the dialog box, specify the name of the package where you want to create the proxy objects. You can also specify a prefix for the names of all objects to be created to avoid naming conflicts with names that already exist in the system.
Result
To generate proxies, the WSDL description of the message interface is read using HTTP.
If no naming conflicts occur during the conversion, you can call the hierarchy of the generated objects from the tab page "Structure". The objects are only then saved in the system once you choose Activate.
If the description is changed in the Integration Repository, you must regenerate the proxy objects
Hope this is helpful.

  • How to insert bookmarks into an custom installer

    Hello,
I'm trying for quit some time now to insert some fixed bookmarks into a custom firefox 7.0.1 installer.
I tried to use a default profile that has those settings preset, but this isn't working out well. Lot's of users are working on the same computers and every time someone logs into the AD and his roaming profile gets loaded firefox creates an new profile. I have to make the changes everytime they created a profile.
Is there a way to customize the default profile thats loaded by first start?
Or force firefox to look at a different location (at first start) for the profiles.ini? Then i use a customized profiles.ini on a other location (not the usual profile path).
If you need more information, just ask, i want this to work :)
    Me

You can place a file bookmarks.html in the location of the default profile template folder \defaults\profile in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).<br />
All files in that folder are copied to the new profile.

  • How do ABAP Proxy and XI adapter work?

    Hi everybody,
I have a general question about the ABAP proxy and XI adapter.
In order to use the ABAP proxy and XI adapter, I must configure the HTTP Destination between the R/3 system and the XI server. I must also maintain the SLD.
After several hours configurations with our administrator, it failed. At least the HTTP Destinations on both servers don't work correctly. We got always HTTP error message. But a scenario with an ABAP Receiver proxy works! It is really strange and laughable. We're very happy about that but don't know why and what happened. Today we tested the ABAP Sender proxy, it doesn't work.
So we decide to ask the XI experts in this forum to give us a general lessen about the ABAP proxy: how it works, why we should create the HTTP destinations, how do the destinations work and so on.
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    With best regards

    Hi
Once you create the interface in XI, you generate the proxies on your R3 system.
    Client Proxies -->
This is done for outbound interfaces. You generate the proxy and then write a report that fills in the proxy class with the data and pushes it to XI.
    Server proxies -->
Generated for inbound interfaces. Generate the proxy and write the implementation for the exectue method that deals with the data sent from XI to the R3 system

    Hi
Below is the full details of above links
    For link 4196517?
    Q) Hi All,
I have got a requirement to raise an exception from existing ABAP Proxy depending on condition. XI consultant created a fault messge type and attached to the inbound interface message type. I have regenerated the ABAP proxy but I cant find any thing in excpetion tab to raise exception.
Please let me know the solution for this.
    Answers : 1) Go to Sproxy .
Select the message interface for which you generated the proxy.
Click on the Structure tab. Do you see any Exception Class generated for fault message ?
    2) Just follow all the steps defined in the below Blog and you will find the solution.
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/11/02/fault-message-types--a-demo-part-1
    3) I can't find any exception class there in 'Structure' tab. what might be the problem.
    4) In SProxy ..under the Message Interface you will see Fault Message Type.
Click on Fault Message Type and check if you can see the fault message type created by xi consultant.
Also ask your xi team to login to IR and re-activate the interface.
    5) I can't find any fault message type under Fault Message Type. I will ask my XI consultant to reactivate the interface.
Is this the only problem for this or is htere any other reason for not finding this fault message type in SPROXY.
    6) Ideally the fault message type should be visible unless he has defined Software Dependencies and using MT from some other SC.
Even if the fault message type is not visible everything could be all right.
Ask him to check if he selected the fault message type while activating the interface.
Do update us when you get a reply from ur xi team.
    7) I have checked with XI admin, he said that he created fault message types in Development Xi but R/3 Development refers to Production XI system in exchange profiles. He asked me to change it to XI development in exhange profile settings. So I am searching info on how to set exchange profiles.
    8) The following link will guide you ..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c9/7a1041ebf0f06fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
I dont think we need to do any changes in Exchange Profile for proxy communication.
Changing the RFC Destinations (in your R/3 system)- LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI should solve your problem.

    Q) Hi All,
We have an ABAP Proxy implemented for posting goods movement and it is calling BAPI function module to post good movement. We have got a requirement that if BAPI returns any error, this error message send back to SAP XI.
    data call proxy
    Legacy -
    > XI -
    > SAP R/3(call bapi)

Please let me know how to send the message back to XI.

    2) you can utilize the fault messages for such an usage -

    3) You have to do Fault message implementation in this case...
A no. of exception will be there. For any error proxy will catch the exception and will write it in the fault message...so....from r/3 response will go to Xi as Fault message response in case any error/exception occours......
    have look here...
    Fault message implementation.

    5) the file adapter can work only asynchronous, so you cant have a response. You should build two asynchronous messages. File -> proxy inbound and after the bapi call an outbound proxy is called which is sending a second messge to the file adapter.
    6) you can define a synchronous scenario which will include request/response messages.
send the response back to XI.
the file adapter supports BE QoS.

7)I have an interface Z_stock_move(message interface(inbound)) and class z_STOCK_MOVE in that. I have clicked exception tab but not able to add exception there as its not enabled for change.
Please let me know how to add the exception to an existing abap proxy.so that i can raise an exception when bapi call to goods movenment returns errors.
    Might be useful to U.

I am having an issue in the runtime where

  • Ship notice list in abap proxy

    Hi Folks
I've implemented ship notice through idoc and through a batch job.
Whenever a shipment is saved and output gets created and then processing program of that output type send shipment idoc to third party. This is how shipment through idoc works. And in batch job, depending on delivery date, shipment is selected from system based on sold to party and again idoc is created and sent to third party.  Now comes the difficult part.
Now I've to implement ship notice list through abap proxy. In abap proxy, there is input and output.
Now In idoc situation every segment is predefined , we've added values in those segment and created idoc and sent it. but In abap proxy, I'm stuck I don't know how to proceed. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

  • Clarifications on ABAP proxy

    Hi,
I've been reading up on Abap proxy and I wanna confirm my understanding.
      1) Abap Proxy is for abap applications to communication with XI
      2) The abap proxy is to be generated at the R/3 backend.
      3) When you enter transaction SPROXY in R/3, you should be able to see all the software components created in the SLD. But I am unable to see that in my system. Is there a RFC which I have to create in R/3 in order for me to see the software components?
    I read the blog
    /people/ravikumar.allampallam/blog/2005/03/14/abap-proxies-in-xiclient-proxy
and it mentioned about XI-Client to generated the proxy. I'm a bit confused as to whether the proxy is generated on the R/3 or XI or either is ok depending on the scenario.
    Thanks for all the help

    Hello,
    1) Abap Proxy is for abap applications to communication with XI Yes, it's true.
    2) The abap proxy is to be generated at the R/3 backend.
Yes, you usually generate proxy at application (not integration) server
    3) When you enter transaction SPROXY in R/3, you should be able to see all the software components created in the SLD. But I am unable to see that in my system. Is there a RFC which I have to create in R/3 in order for me to see the software components?
When you enter transaction SPROXY in R/3, you should be able to see all the imported to Integration Repository software components which you created in the SLD. If you don't see your imported to IR software components then check link: How do you activate ABAP Proxies?

  • Synchronous Inbound ABAP Proxy - Manage status in SXMB_MONI

    Hi Gurus!!
I have a synchronous SOAP->PI->ABAP Proxy. This ABAP Proxy sends a response to the Sender SOAP with the result of the process execution.
If the execution finishes with an error (by example, the material to change is locked by another user), the ABAP Proxy sends the response with this error to the SOAP Sender, in the response of the message, without exception. In SXMB_MONI the execution of the message is correct. Is there any way to set the status of the message on SXMB_MONI to other status, and continue sending the corresponding response to the SOAP Sender? If is possible without exception handling?
    Thanks and regards,
    MML001.

Hope I understood your question. You can send the response (happy flow without exception) and fault message (application or business exception) from the inbound proxy response. But in both cases , SXMB_MONI treats the response message is success. Only in the case of system or connectivity between systems, it shows error message. You could handle even using a specific field in the payload whether the message is successful or not rather than thinking about setting status in monitoring level.

  • ABAP Proxy HTTP response contains status code 401

We have a client ABAP proxy running in a program successfully in our development system. Today I transported this to our Test system. When I tested, there were no messages in the adapter engine pipeline.
One of my colleagues discovered that when running SXMB_MONI on the Application system (_not_ the XI system), the XML queue there shows the message with an error, the error being:
HTTP response contains status code 401 with the description Unauthorized
I have looked at quite a few posts here with this error; the PIAPPLUSER is not locked, Integration engine is configured the same way in both Development and Test, but I cannot figure out why this is happening.
    Any assistance more than welcome!
    BR,
    Tony.

    hi,
Check XIAPPLUSER is having this Role -SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
    • If the error is in XI Adapter, then your port entry should J2EE port 5<System no>
    • If the error is in Adapter Engine
–then have a look into SAP note- 821026, Delete the Adapter Engine cache in transaction SXI_CACHE Goto --> Cache.
    • May be wrong password for user XIISUSER
    • May be wrong password for user XIAFUSER
    – for this Check the Exchange Profile and transaction SU01, try to reset the password -Restart the J2EE Engine to activate changes in the Exchange Profile After doing this, you can restart the message
