I want to install apex 4.0 in my PC,and I have installed the oracle XEUniv,does any installing documents that can help me solve this problem?or what commands should I type in the terminal....
ps:how to select a more preferred language,run some scripts or...

I don't know where's dads.conf file to make change

A little bit odd is an understatement. The first time I found I had to download over 1Gb of stuff to run a simple web server I practically fell over! Hopefully, the Apex Listener team will update it to have backwards compatibility with mod_plsql and we can ignore trying to install Oracle Fusion Middleware Web Tier Utilities...
However, until then the TNS Names error generally means that there isn't a TNS alias set up for the database you have referenced in the mod_plsql dad. If you open up the dads.conf file you should see something like
PlsqlDatabaseConnectString localhost:1521:databasealias
If you then open a command prompt and do TNSPING databasealias you should get a response like this
Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias
Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = ***)))
OK (20 msec)
If you don't it means you need to add it in.

How to install APEX in a server database, instead XE database?

Hi, sorry but I'm new with APEX.
Till today I've just used it to simple applications inside a XE database, but now I've to use it in a production database.
Should I use the enterprise database, which is an Oracle 11G, or should I install it inside the database that comes with the Oracle Application Server (OAS)?
Is there a documentation to teach how to install the last version of Apex inside this database?

How to install apex on windows x64 with 10gR2?

Hello,
today I tried to install the http-server for our 10gR2-database. We are using windows x64.
But I cant find OHS for this release. How can I install apex then?

have you tried the installation, or did you just ask in advance?
in the last wekks i did a lof of installation stuff on an x64 system using the old x32 versions. even oracle sw like 10.2.0.3 client etc.
and most oft the stuff was up and running just like on an x32 system.
just keep in mind that the directory structure an x64 is slightly different #
if u install x32 software the default installation path is "C:\Program Files (x86)" and in the registry a speacial key hklm\software\wow6432node
just in case you need to patch.
in my opinion it would be worth to give i a try, but remember not on a productive system.
i'd like to hear about your results

How to install apex (and mapviewer) company wide ?

Hi,
Until now I've developed some applications on a laptop.
I want to bring them to my company - in this stage as a "pilot" with a limited number of employees having access.
What do I need: a database, apex installed and - now is coming what I want to know - application server or http-server ?
For your information: I'm using also oracle spatial and mapviewer to present data on the map of the netherlands. Therefore I want to install spatial, and mapviewer. An pre-installed oc4j is included in that installation.
How to combine these issues ?

I'm not sure these issues should be combined. You are talking about 3 different Oracle products, each with its own pre-installation requirements. Regarding oracle spatial and MapViewer, you'll need to ask your DBA (or someone with the proper experience in this forum can help you).
As for ApEx, you'll need a db version 9.2.0.3 or higher, and you'll need the OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) which is part of the db companion CD, or can be downloaded from OTN.
As far as I know, Oracle MapViewer is part of the Oracle Application server, just like OC4J and OHS. In this case, you can install all the needed modules of the Application Server, and then installed ApEx. The ApEx installation guide includes information on how to configure the HTTP server, as part of the Application Server.

I logged in at https://support.oracle.com and in search box on top right I selected drop down value to "All Sources" and entered 373604.1 ..I am getting " no data found"
I am getting the document with no issue.
When I changed the drop down in search box to article id and searched 373604.1 , I am getting the following message

First I had the error
create public synonym wwv_flow_file_objects$ for wwv_flow_file_objects$

ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing objecttoo, but the I dropped all public synonyms beginning with "wwv_" for cleaning up before reinstalling. Still the same problem...

11G database comes with Embed PL/SQL Gateway. Easiest install scenario is use that EPG.
But it of course depend your requirements is it better use OHS or APEX Listener that provide more features.

I have Personal PC with Windows XP os, Oracle 10g Database, I have Installed Oracle HTTP server on my PC. I try Many times to install APEX 3 but in vain, can any body help me to do it ?
Note (I have Apex 3 documentation, but it doesn't help me)
I unzipped the folder Apex in C drive. (C:\APEX)
I TOOK A COPY from APEX folder to (oracle_home\bin) folder and I run apexins, it shows that everything is ok.
When I try to configur the HTTPPORT from sql plus, I got an error message, that I have to declar this variable.
What I have to do ?
If there is any Frensh explanation to that I will really appreciate.

How to install APEX wit E-Business Suite Release 12.0.4

We have just installed the VISION demo database and the E-Business Suite Release 12.0.4 on a test environment, under SUSE SLES 10 SP3.
In order to see if we can take advantege of APEX with the EBS 12.0.4, I would like to know what kind of installation should we make to install APEX 3.1.2.

BTW, the most interesting part is in the comments, where you can read "+The Application Express Product Management team is currently working on their own white paper that will discuss APEX and EBS integration best practices in detail.+"
From my experience, it's not possible to use the Apache servers that come within an R12 environment, so you will need to install a new Apache (that includes mod_plsql) into a separate Oracle Home. Then you will need to install the Apex sw into the Apps R12 database and make sure that Apex is called from the new Apache server that should point to the R12 db.

If you look deeper you will find that 4.2 is not released yet.
You will also find the 4.2 Early Adopter has been released where you can review and play with 4.2 features.

How to install apex on my system?

I have installed Oracle 9i on my system. I am able to use the Oracle HTTP server and able to access ISQL through the following path := http://localhost:7778/ISQL.
I have downloaded apex 3.1. zip file. Please let me know the exact path where I need to extract the file so that I can use it.. My Oracle is installed in C:\\OracleNT\

You mean when you try go APEX admin url it do not anymore prompt XDB password.
Instead you get totally blank white screen?
If so, you have not update images to XDB
