How to install http-server for already installed apex

Hi,
due to networkcardtroubles I have to reinstall http-server. i have copied marvel.conf and marvel/images.
i have already reinstalled http-server, getting the htttp://host:7777-page, and have copied marvel.conf (and marvel/images) to the right directory.
but if i go to http://host:7777/pls/htmldb the result is "page not found"
how to combine http-server with apex ?

What went wrong ? (These files - indeed - don't exist on my computer).
I reinstalled only http-server form the companion CD, not htmldb (assuming to get htmldb 1.5) . Do I have to reinstall both ?

Install button appears for already installed apps

Hello.
After updating to Yosemite all my installed AppStore purchases appear as non-installed.
When I click "Install" button, AppStore redownloads an app (I see the installation progress) and "Install" button changes to "Installed", but when I reload "Purchases" page - "Install" button appears again.
I assume this is an issue.
I tried to delete AppStore cache vie CleanMyMac but it didn't help. Also after reading several topics in this community I have to specify that Spotlight is disabled on my system (if it matters).

It does matter, quite a lot in fact. The App Store relies on the Spotlight index to tell what is installed.
If you need Spotlight disabled for any reason, add only the problematic locations to the privacy tab in System Preferences > Spotlight.
Never disable it completely or add the whole system disk to privacy.

Can't figure out how to install sql server for PHP

I am trying to install SQL Server for PHP on a server with Server 2008 32 bit. The exe from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20098 keeps tell me that it is an invalid win32 application. I've tried running as administrator
as well. Somewhere I read you need to open the exe with 7zip. I was able to do that and see all the files in there, but where do I go from there?

Try (as root) -
/usr/bin/lsof -i TCP:3938which should show you information about the process(es) that are currently listening on that port.
As for -
/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/companion/Apache/Apache/bin/httpd: error while loadin
g shared libraries: libdb.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directorylibdb is a prerequisite of installing the Apache server, I believe you can get the library as part of the Berkeley DB installation/rpm's/packages (it should be listed in the installation document).

Cant Install HTTP Server on SUSE10

Hello,
When I try to install HTTP Server from Oracle DB 10g Companion CD on a SUSE 10 with a working Oracle10g DB I get an error message where ever I call runInstaller so my installation never initiates.
As in the installation documentation I change my directory to "/tmp" and then from there I call runInstaller like "/media/cd_name/runInstaller". Just as I press enter I got this message " /media/cd_name/runInstaller: Line 61: /media/cd_name/install/.oui: no such file or directory"
It is also happens when I try the root user and also happens the same when I try to run the installer from a directory instead of cd.
Can Anybody help me?

If you want to just disable the Server aspect, this should work for both Lion and Mountain Lion...

I installed a New server with Windows 2003.
I have some oracle forms developed using 6i, I don't mind to convert them later.
What other oracle 10g software I need to install to have my oracle forms and reports to run on web?
I tried to install in this sequence but not working:-
1- windows 2003
2- IIS
3- Oracle Developer Suite
Then I removed IIS and installed the Oracle SOA Application server also still cannot.
What did I do wrong or what should I install (I meant by sequence?)

Why installing IIS o_O?
For Installing a developer Machine just install Oracle Developer suite; for testing your forms you use OC4J ("start OC4J instance" in start menu), and you can run your forms in web; no need for a aditional webserver (don't believe there's an OC4J connector for IIS available; and if so I wouldn't use it either ;-))
For Installing a server for "productional" use install Oracle Application Server (available on otn) which comes with an Apache as webserver and all the other needful things for runnung forms on the web.
For configuring both of them just take a look at the documentations on http://otn.oracle.com

If you mean the built-in functionality of Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash, it's different mechanism for both.

Problem in starting sqlplus after installing http server only on red hat linux 7.1

I have installed http server on my pc. it was installed
successfully mt http server is running on port 7777 but when i
am trying to run sqlplus from user root
/home/oracle/OraHome1/bin > ./sqlplus
it's giving msg1<lang>.msb file not found.
error 6 intializing sql*plus
but i have seen that sqlplus/message directory has msg1us.msb
file . since sqlplus is a bin file otherwise i can change it's
path. i think so.

Hi, before i had Oracle XE 10.2.0.1 and Apex 3.2 both worked ok. Now remove Oracle XE and APEX 3.2 and then installed ORACLE 10g 10.2.0.3 and Apex 4.0, but when i try to login to apex http://server:8080/pls/apex/apex_admin the login page not appears.
Before run apex with OC4J from developer suite 10g, but now i need to install some particular http server with the companion cd or something like that.
I guess i have to install http server and xml database from companion cd but which option have to choose.

Pl post details of your OS. If you installed 10.2.0.3, you will also need to install the HTTP server from the companion CD.

Oracle HTTP Server for APEX3.2

I am a DBA but new to APEX.
On page 4-15 of APEX3.2 Installation Guide, it says
Install from the Database and Configure Oracle HTTP Server
This section describes how to configure Oracle HTTP Server with mod_plsql
distributed with Oracle Database 11g or Oracle Application Server 10g.
It seems that Oracle HTTP Server is neither distributed with the database CD nor Example CD. Am I right?
Also, can I use HTTP Server bundled with OMS to serve as HTTP Server for APEX? Will that impact Grid Control?
EPG is not considered.

When using Grid of course, there is a HTTP server
When having the Rdbms, you need the companion cd or use one of products that has already HTTP server .... ( Example ; IAS, etc )

Using a Single HTTP Server for Multiple APEX Instances

Our company's DBA Manager has asked if it would be possible to externalize the HTTP server portion of APEX from the DB Servers. In other words, he would strongly prefer that the DB Servers *only* run Oracle Database software.
We know that we can install the HTTP server on another box but, in thinking about how to do this, we were wondering if it is really necessary to create a separate HTTP server installation for each APEX instance. What we'd really like to do is have one HTTP server for all our our Dev boxes and several (but, not one to one) for each of our upper environments; staging, qa, prod, etc.
Right now, each instance have a single dads.conf file on each DB box. So, if we we're to attempt to consolidate them, we'd need some way to embed multiple dads files and to associate each instance with the correct one.
Has anyone ever done this or (preferably) have some examples?

I´ve tried to use APEX listener some time ago, but in a earlier version together with glassfish. So, since for me was only one database, I created the necessary amount of DAD´s on my database, each one for a specific port.

If I had to guess, you are starting HTTP Server on the same port as some other service.
BTW, Oracle Express is not a supported platform for Mobile Server.

Flash Player will not install thinks it is already installed

I can not open a PDF in the latest reader. It tells me flash needs to be installed. I go to the adobe site and flash player will not install stating it is already installed. The active x widget says not player is installed. It is not listed in managed add ons and is not listed in installed programs.
How can I install the program?

Some PDFs (with Rich Media Content) require the Flash Player plugin (NPAPI) to be installed.
I do not quite understand what you have installed, and what not. I recommend that you uninstall Flash Player completely using the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Companion CDs for 64-bit Oracle HTTP Server for AIX5L(64 bit) required.

I need Companion CDs for 64 bit Oracle HTTP Server for AIX5L(64 bit).
I tried to install using
as_ibm_aix_companion_101300_disk1.cpio & as_ibm_aix_companion_101300_disk2.cpio
but when i checked the files present in <Oracle_Home>/ohs/lib , they are of 32-bit.
Also i tried with Oracle 10.1.2.0.2 but still the server is installed as 32-bit.
Is 64-bit Oracle HTTP Server supported on AIX5L(64 bit) ?
If yes, then from where can i download the CDs?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
