I would like to install Java and Tomcat on my VPS server.

Hi Everybody,
I am using the following versions of java and tomcat:
JAVA: j2sdk-1_4_2_13
Tomcat: jakarta-tomcat-5.0.5
I tried to configure several times both but everytime the result is the same. I am setting the following variables:
PATH: .;D:\j2sdk1.4.2_13\bin;D:\Tomcat 5.0\bin
CLASSPATH: .;D:\j2sdk1.4.2_13\lib;D:\Tomcat 5.0\common\lib\servlet-api.jar
JAVA_HOME: D:\j2sdk1.4.2_13
Please correct what mistake i am doing again and again. I appreciate your effort.

Fine sir, I will tell evrything in detail what steps i am following during installation and configuring java and Tomcat.
1) I am using the following versions(exe) of java and tomcat:
JAVA: j2sdk-1_4_2_13-windows-i586-p
Tomcat: jakarta-tomcat-5.0.5
2) Then, i follow exactly the same variable names and values to configure java as mentioned below to make java work under User variables header:
PATH: .;D:\j2sdk1.4.2_13\bin
CLASSPATH: .;D:\j2sdk1.4.2_13\lib
JAVA_HOME: D:\j2sdk1.4.2_13
Above steps i follow only for installing java. And it also not working properly. If i run my .java file from the destination of the file then it will be execulted but if i try to execute from any other location then it doesn't, it shows the following message in the DOS prompt:
error: cannot read: Hello.java
1 error
Now, please correct what mistake i am doing.

I have developed an application for Mobile devices[ Windows Mobile] exclusively using Java[AWT].When I try to install , the application in mobile, i got the following error.
*"MIDlet cannot be installed because critical information is missing from the MIDlet file (.jar). - 13 Please contact the MIDlet provider for more information."*
I didnt use any midlet classes in my application. So my question is, what the above error denotes? and How to install
java[AWT] application into mobile?. What are all the requirements to install the application?.

The problem was with the JVM which is im used in my Windows Mobile. And im installed CrE-ME in my mobile
to execute java application.

Java won't run on Red Hat because of firewall
problems.What ? Since when ? But there are problems with certain versions of RH.
Nothing to do with a firewall though.

Hello all, I have just started using labview and would like to run the "SVXMPL_Third Octave Analysis for Multiprocesor" example as an example for multithread programming, but I run into the issue that the "Sound and Vibration" toolkit is required before running the example. I have gone through the posed link and gone through the list of products installed in my machine (ControlPanel>Add and Remove Programs> National Instruments Software), but I couldn't find the "sound and vibration toolkit". I have tried to run the installation setup in order to add the toolkit. it looks like I have already installed all the available software. I don't know how I should install the toolkit. I appreciate on any comments on how to install the toolkit. I appreciate if you can help me on how to install "sound and vibration toolkit" in my machine.

I am facing a problem while installing Forms 6i. The following are the details.
I successfully installed Oracle 9i first under F:\oracle\ora90. While installing Forms 6i, I selected the "Typical" and gave the path as "F:\oracle\ora90" and clicked on the Next Button. Immediately I got an error message as "The location specified, 'F:\oracle\ora90' is already used as an Oracle home for 'Oracle 82 Beta'. It cannot be used as an Oracle home for 'nt'".
Could any one give the information of how to install forms and reports 6i. It ll be of great help to me.
