How to install standalone Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.4?

Hi I want to install standalone Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.4 (NOT SOA SUITE). Can someone give the URL for the documentation. Or can someone say the patches that need to be installed?

Just to clarify, there is no 10.1.3.4 install of SOA Suite or BPEL. You must install the 10.1.3.1 version first then apply the patch for 10.1.3.4, although 10.1.3.5 has been out for some time.
the 10.1.3.5 patch is available on OTN otherwise you need a Metalink account.
The upgrade process and patch is the same for both BPEL and SOA.

It sounds like you are not properly connecting to the back end Oracle instance when Lite attempts to install the Mobile Server Repository.
Before attempting a re-install, why don't you try connecting to the same instance using SQL/Plus with the a connect string specifying hostname:1521:SID. If you are not able to connect you need to determine why.

The only way you can get 9iR1 release software is by asking it to your Oracle representative. The oldest 9i release available for public download is 9iR2.
You could try the administrative 9iR2 client, it can work with 9iR1 releases.

The current entry is picked from the PATH vairable of the system and user that you have logged on. This is because you have already done 1 Oracle Installation on the host.
Keep in mind that you choose the correct oracle home while installing and in future updating Oracle software (patchset, Interim Pactches...)
You can give a seperate path for Oracle Inventory. Just go thru to the existing folder of OraInventory in Program files you will understand it better.
It is used to install and update the Oracle software in the oracle home that you will choose in your next step.

One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Database 11gR2 -- Database tier
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Application Server 10g ver 10.2.0 (infra and middle) -- Midel-tier
One computer with XP OS -- Client tier
Could any one explain me how to install it?

I downloaded d2k6irelease2.tar (Oracle Forms Developer/Services 6i Release
2 for linux) from

I untar the file on my linux machine however the extracted files don't
seem to contain any installing program. I didn't find products.jar in the
files and there are no script to install the software. I read the attached
doc, however it only assumes that the installation is from CD-ROM. The doc
doesn't help anything for this downloaded software. I wonder if anyone
here know how to install it. Thank you so much.

There should be a text based installer in the /orainst sub-
directory
In that directory, just run the script:
./orainst
The installer seems to require libXm.a, which wasn't included in
my RH 7.1 installation, so I had to install the motif-
development libraries before the full install would complete

yes, u can have more databases on a single machine and they can be of different versions.
You have to use and initialize the correct ORACLE_HOME to create the DB of the version U use.
For ex, u have 2 homes:
C:\Oracle\Ora817 8i home and C:\Oracle\ora920 9i home
Normally, using OFA, imagine that You want create 2 db, TEST_8I for 8i home and TEST_9I for the 9i home, You shold have:
C:\Oracle\Admin\TEST_8I\<<OFA DIRS>> and C:\Oracle\Oradata\TEST_8I for 8i DB adn C:\Oracle\Admin\TEST_9I\<<OFA DIRS>> and C:\Oracle\Oradata\TEST_9I for the 9i version.
It is important, when You create the DB, that u use the executables of C:\Oracle\Ora817\bin to create 8i db and C:\Oracle\Ora920\bin for the 9i one.
Then U can use the 9i listener to manage both instances

you have to get hold of a CD containing Oracle Client software;
you should ask Oracle for it. SQL*Net itself is free for
owners of the server license, but I do not know how Oracle
handles users of the free development kits. If you plan to
use Oracle for software development I strongly recommend to enter
one of the partner programmes; it's not free, but very good value
for money.

How to install 32bit Oracle on 64 bit Red Hat4

Hi:
I need to install 32bit Oracle 10.2.0.1 on 64bit RedHat4. The reason is NOT the point. I need to do that period.
I am sure it can be done even ORacle don't support it.
I installed all 32 bit gcc, g++ packages. BEfore I run installer, I do
Linux32 bash
I also create softlink gcc and g++, they both point to gcc32 and g++32
I also rename ld to ld.origin. Change ld to
exec /usr/bin/ld.orig -melf_i386 $@
When I run installed. It hung at linking. The gcc is running but no error, no everything. It seems gcc is wating for something.
Has anyone had experience install Oracle 32bit 10g on 64bit RetHat4?
