How to invoke WS with oracle/wss11_saml_or_username_token_with_message_..?

Hi,
I need to develop a client that invokes WLS Web Services protected using the policy oracle/wss11_saml_or_username_token_with_message_protection_service_policy. Is there any sample code for reference especially on how/what to pass into the BindingProvider?
Thanks!

    To configure Oracle JDBC:
    1. Add Oracle JDBC JAR file classes12.zip or ojdbc14.zip to classpath.
    2. Load and register the JDBC driver.
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    3. Obtain a connection:
    String url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@<host>:1521:<database>
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(url,
    "myLogin", "myPassword");
    4. Create a SQL statement.
    Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
    5. Obtain a result set.
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(
    "SELECT ...");

  • How to start of with Oracle HCM fusion applications to gain good grasp on the technology

    I have been working in Siebel for a long time and I am currently moving to Oracle Fusion HCM application.I would like to know the best way to start up with it and I would also like to know the possible way to go about it so that having 7years of experience I can justify my knowledge in this technology and skill.Could anyone please guide me as to how to go about it.What are the things i should start from and how should i go about it,what forums to follow,what online tutorials to look at.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi.
    There are loads of resources out there, but with so many it can be hard to know where to begin. Obviously we cover just Customization-Integration related areas not the whole stack. I don't have anything specific to your Siebel background, however hopefully these "top pick" recommendations will help you. My personal advice is to pick one topic or technical component at a time, because trying to learn everything at once quickly becomes overwhelming.
    1) Chapter 2 of my book, now a few years old, gives a Technical Overview of the stack. Get it for free here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/managing-fusion-apps-418611.pdf
    2) Oracle Learning Library is a good resource for demos and well-crafted content on many topics. Use the search to find Fusion Apps content: https://apexapps.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:2:0::NO:::
    3) Whilst it might seem predictable, our online help is the intended content for getting started. This was overhauled recently and the new layout really helps. Both the product docs and the help portal content is very well written by our experts. Getting Started with Oracle Fusion Applications Lifecycle Management Release 9
    4) The MyOracleSupport site has quite a few bits of content on technology component usage inside Fusion Apps. Look for the "Information Centers" for applications technology or BI for example where you'll find lost of top content listed by category.
    I am also working on some "resource roadmaps" - a tool to give people to all key resources for a topic in a quick and visual way. Keep an eye on our blog for more here.
    Kind regards

  • General questions on how to get started with Oracle OEPE and databases

    My company has a server in the cloud, written using Ruby on Rails. The server is designed to work with a browser, so it communicates via standard HTTP.
    The server has an SQL database.
    The server sends and receives HTTP requests from clients, which are then used to either update the database or retrieve information from the database.
    The database can be edited from a separate admin dashboard.
    I have recently rewritten our client software as a native android app. The new app makes calls to the server that look like browser calls. I have used Eclipse to develop the Android app.
    Sounds pretty standard so far, right? :-)
    I now want to replace the Ruby on Rails server with a new Java server that I will write. I want to use Eclipse to develop the new server. During development, I want to be able to have the new Android app communicate with the development server software that will reside on my desktop.
    So I was thinking that Oracle's tools might be perfect for me, if only I knew which tools to use. There are lot to choose from. :-)
    I believe that all I need is OEPE and a database. I would like to keep it pretty simple. I don't want to learn 20 new tools. It will be enough effort to become proficient in OEPE and a database.
    I looked at "Oracle Database Tools >> Connecting to an Oracle database" in the help files for OEPE 12.1.1. I tried going through the help files for Database connections, but I got to a "New Connection Profile" form that asks me for a SID, a user name, a password, etc. I don't have any of those. I tried to enter some data in the forms and ping the database, but I could not get any results from the ping. So my first question is: Do I have to sign up for an Oracle database in the cloud or is there a database contained within the OEPE software that I just installed. I will have to do the former anyway when I eventually deploy my new server software, so maybe the right thing to do is sign up for the "database in the cloud" service now, and use it during development.
    The other question I have is about getting a simple application client and server application sample. I found a "hello world" example at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13224_01/wlw/docs103/guide/webapplications/workshopJSP/tutorialJSP/TutorialJSPMakeJSP.html, but that is for WLS 10.3 and it doesn't seem to match the 12.1.1 software very well.
    So does anybody know where I can find a simple client and server sample program for WLS 12.1.1?
    If I can get these two questions answered, I can start making some progress.
    Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me navigate this minefield.
    Jim

    I wanted to add some information to my previous posting.
    1. The server I will develop will communicate ONLY with Android and iOS native apps, so the interface will not be HTML or XML. The information sent by the server to the client will be JSON. The information sent by the client to the server will be HTTP parameters, usually in the form of URL-encoded form data. This is not a browser-to-server server interface, so JSP is probably not appropriate for the server. The communication protocol will be HTTP.
    2. I don't need anything fancy on the server side. The server will simply be a Java program that emits JSON responses to the client and receives URL-encoded form data from the client. The server program will also make database queries and update the database.
    3. I don't understand how my native Android app will be able to communicate with my development server code running on my desktop. I want that communication to be over the internet, but my desktop does not have a static IP address, so I don't see how the app will be able to address the development server software on my desktop PC. I don't want to deploy the server software into the cloud every time I start a debug run, but I don't see any other way for my app to be able to address the server code over the Internet.
    If anybody has any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.

  • How to use LDAP with Oracle forms 10g on Oracle application server

    Hi,
    I need some help on this. I have developed oracle forms 10g on application server 9iAS. The client want to use the existing LDAP authentication to the software we wrote. I do not know how I could configure to use the existing LDAP authentication . If anyone know how would I use the existing LDAP on different server to use when they logon to our menu in 10g to validate the user. Do I need to add any varibales in formweb.cfg or any other method. Please help.
    Thanks
    Luksh

    I am not quite sure if this works out of the box. According to an Oracle FAQ:
    4.2 Can I use LDAP to authenticate Forms Services?
    Not directly. However, Oracle Login Server is able to authenticate against a LDAP directory and thus a Forms application can take advantage of this in a SSO environment. But you cannot use access control information stored in a LDAP directory with Forms.

  • How to use FDS with Oracle DB?? JavaAdapter?

    Hello,
    Can anyone explain to me in plain english how my Flex
    application uses FDS to connect to an oracle database?
    Ok, so the mxml/swf calls the dataservice.... WHERE is the
    dataservice? WHAT is the dataservice (functionaly a servlet?)?? HOW
    is the dataservice configured?? Do I use J2ee connection pools?
    Where are the detailed instructions for connecting my FDS
    flex application to a backend oracle database?!?!?!
    Ed

    Hi Ed,
    FDS is a Java web app that you can think of as having 3
    layers:
    1. A set of endpoints that clients connect to in order to
    send and recieve data and messages. The HTTP and AMF endpoints are
    implemented as a servlet. The RTMP endpoint is an NIO socket
    server.
    2. A core message broker that takes inbound messages and
    routes them to their target service destination and routes
    responses back out to connected clients.
    3. A service layer with destinations that process these
    messages from clients and if necessary return a response. Each
    service exposes specific destinations. In the case of the remoting
    service each destination is a Java object exposes for RPC, in
    messaging each destination is a topic to publish to or subscribe
    to, in the data service each destination is backed by an assembler
    that manages a specific entity type in your domain model, etc.
    In the data service case you can connect to a database either
    via the HibernateAssembler or a custom assembler within which you
    could talk to a DAO layer or manage CRUD ops directly. Your
    assembler receives change objects for creates, updates, deletes and
    the way you access your datastore is up to you. The intent of the
    data service is to act as a layer on top of an existing Java domain
    model on the server that allows Flash clients to interact with it
    directly.
    Hopefully that clarrifies the general picture a bit.
    Regarding the error you're hitting, if that's a runtime error
    being thrown on the client it's because the configuration
    information compiled into the swf doesn't contain the "Employee"
    destination you've added. How are you compiling your MXML app? If
    you're compiling in FlexBuilder or at the command line are you
    referencing your services-config.xml file using the -services
    option?
    Best,
    Seth

  • How to invoke services with javabeans type or other customer type??

    Hi all,

    Hi
    The error doesnt seem to be related to the JavaBean.

  • How RH Linux behavior with Oracle in that situation?

    Hi guys,
    I'm trying to figure out what is happening in my scenario:
    We have a database server with Enterprise Linux RH 5 and 15 instances running Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.2.0).
    The server has 32G of physical memory.
    When Oracle instance starts, it allocates from OS physical memory the values set to sga_max_size plus pga_aggregate_target. I'm not using the parameter memory_target of Oracle 11g (set to 0). Please check how the memory is configured for the instances:
    Instance SGA PGA
    dgb008 -> 2G 0 (* this one uses the parameter memory_target);
    dgb019 -> 4G 512M
    hgb019 -> 4G 512M
    dgb021 -> 2G 512M
    hgb021 -> 2G 512M
    dgb014 -> 4G 512M
    hgb014 -> 4G 512M
    dgb015 -> 1,7G 512M
    hgb015 -> 1,7G 512M
    dgb084 -> 4G 512M
    dgb085 -> 4G 512M
    dgb086 -> 2G 512M
    qgb084 -> 4G 512M
    qgb085 -> 4G 512M
    tvt020 -> 376M 125M
    Total --> 43,7G 6,7G
    TOTAL--> 50,4 GB
    Note that I have more Gigs configured for the instances, than I really have physically on the server... about that scenario, I have two questions, one about Linux and the other one about Oracle:
    1) Why Linux shows that I have 27GB for cache? That means that is being used by Oracle? I have 13GB of swap, due to that situation. Is that behavior normal for Linux?
    2) Why Oracle allow me to create new instances, once that I don't have physical memory available?
    Thanks!
