How to kill a SQL Server DB?

How can I completely kill, or delete a SQL Server DB? I can't seem to detach it or take it offline. I can't do anything with it at all. I basically ran out of disk space while loading a table, and not it seems to be corrupted. How
can I completely kill the DB, so I can start over. Every time I try to do something, it says, 'database is currently in use'.

According to your description, you forgot the account which was used to install SQL Server. SQL Server service account information is stored in Windows Registry database. You can get this information from Services Console or SQL Server Configuration.
For example, to get account information from Services Console.
1. Go to Start > Run > Services.msc
2. Right Click on SQL Server Service, i.e. “SQL Server (InstanceName)” and go to properties
3. The account information is available under Log On tab.
Or you can get the information by using DMV and so on.
SELECT servicename, service_account FROM sys.dm_server_servicesGO
If you now log in SQL Server by using sysadmin account, you can check all login names in security and find the original account to login.

Please anybody tell me how to call a sql server stored procedure from oracle.
I've made an hsodbc connection and i can do insert, update, fetch data in sql server from oracle. But calling SP gives error. when I tried an SP at oracle that has line like
"dbo"."CreateReceipt"@hsa
where CreateReceipt is the SP of sql server and hsa is the DSN, it gives the error that "dbo"."CreateReceipt" should be declared.
my database version is 10g
Please help me how can i call it... I need to pass some parameters too to the SP

when i call the sp using DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH, without parameters it works successfully, but with parameters it gives the following error

How much memory does SQL Server 2008R2 Standard use on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit?

can anyone tell me how much RAM will really be used by SQL Server?
72 GB are currently installed. As Windows is only able to use 32 GB is SQL Server able to use the other 40GB + the unused part of the first 32 GB?

Sorry, I don´t understand your post ?!
Maybe the question is if SQL Server is able to allocate more memory than the installed Windows Version is able to?
Since your OS is Windows Standard edition(X64) it cannot use or a process running cannot use more than 32 G of memory.
Now SQL server can use as much memory possible but it is now limited by Windows as your OS can only see 32 G.So it would be good part from your side to go to sp_configure and set 25 G for SQL server and can leave rest for OS( it just a figure not a actual
value i have given,actual you have to calculate by yourself or refer to below link) .

How do we connect to SQL Server database from Forms 10g?
In Oracle Metalink site they have suggested using Transparent Gateway for SQL Server as a solution.
But is there a way we can connect directly to SQL Server from Forms using an ODBC connection
without installing anything on the database server?

I was able to connect to SQL Server from Oracle using Generic Connectivity (HSODBC).
Transparent gateway was not required.
Followed metalink note 109730.1
So, after I created a dblink to SQL Server, I created a synonym for the dblinked SQL Server table.
When I used the synonym as the table source in Oracle Forms, I got the following error while querying.
"ORA-02070 - ROWID is not supported in this context."
This is because Forms has an invisible ROWID field and when data is fetched from SQL Server table
no Rowid is fetched since SQL Server table doesn't have one.
Is there a way to overcome this issue or do we have populate the block manually using a SQL query ?

There are actually 2 main facets to your question. One is how to design a database and application to support multiple cultures, and the other is how to translate data.
I would not create a separate table for each language. Instead, start by identifying tables that have string columns requiring translations. For each of these tables, create an additional table with a composite primary
key of the main table primary PK plus an culture identifier (e.g. ISO codes), and a column for each value that must be translated. Queries can then join to the translation table and specify the desired culture in order to return the translated values.
Be aware that there is not necessarily a need to store translations in the database for dynamic content, but much depends on the nature of your application and data. You could just store the value in the language entered and then translate
on the fly knowing the from/to language. But there may be performance concerns with that approach.

You should be able to it, but I think you'll need to use a third party JDBC driver.
I've used a driver from http://www.jturbo.com and another from http://www.inetsoftware.de/ , and if my memory is correct both worked quite well. You can search for other 3rd party drivers here: http://industry.java.sun.com/products/jdbc/drivers

Can somebody tell me how to deploy the jdbc driver of MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008 on SDM.
According to the SAP instruction we should have 3 files(mssqlserver.jar,msbase.jar,msutil.jar) but in 2005 driver file we only have 1 file i.e sqljdbc.jar so how do i deploy it .
Secondly i cannot deploy it on visual administrator as well and when i am doing the File to jdbc scenarion i am getting this error

3 files (msbase.jar,mssqlserver.jar and msutility.jar )should be zipped to aii_af_jmsproviderlib.zip file only for UNIX OS.
For Windows OS only sqljdbc.jar file which in every version of JDBC driver should be zipped to aii_af_jmsproviderlib.zip.
