How to know if my iPhone 5 is factory unlocked, How to know if my iPhone 5 is factory unlocked

I just bougth a factory unlocked iPhone 5, I'm going to use it in South America, I bought it here in USA but just for the activation I borrowed a friends SIM card, it was from Verizon, so I activated the iPhone and returned the SIM card, the. In general I see that in carrier says " Verizon 13.0" that means its locked just for Verizon or what happened?? Please help! Cause I know that when its unlocked it just says "carrier 13.0 "

If you want to buy unlocked iPhone 5 in US its model would be A1428. There may not be any choice due to operation of LTE networks
Unlocked iPhone bought from Apple Store would be Model A1429. Check yours at the back of phone.
Also see http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/ and the country you want to use it in. Check with your prospective oprator.
