How to know the update details in Solaris.

Hi,
We have server with solaris as version. We are able to find the version details like it is a solaris 10 but not able to find the update details. Could any body help me to find the same.

To see the original Solaris update used to install the system run "cat /etc/release":
$ cat /etc/release
                   Oracle Solaris 10 9/10 s10s_u9wos_14a SPARC
     Copyright (c) 2010, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved.
                            Assembled 11 August 2010The above shows Solaris 10 Update 9
The second part is to look at the Kernel Patch installed
$ uname -a
SunOS hostname 5.10 Generic_142909-17 sun4u sparc SUNW,SPARC-EnterpriseThe above shows this system has 142909-17. Use the matrix on this site to see what update it is: http://blogs.oracle.com/patch/entry/solaris_10_kernel_patchid_progression

After adding the above code i recieved an error : unable to open the database.. so after some googling

Also Having being pissed for a while, I finally figured out what was wrong here: The web server needs the write permission to not only the database file, but also the containing directory of that file.

Yes there is some, called stat(), look the links in your post in stack overflow, there is a lot of link in the anser.
They talk about sys/stat.h a C header, witch contain the stat() function.
stat() return a lot of things (size, changes, access etc) about files. look the "here" everywhere in the Yann anser, UP his anser and put the subject as resolved.

How to display the updated data from db to user interface in sruts framewor

A beginner in this area, I have been able to read a record from a
MySQL database and populate in jsp form . Now, my goal is to
allow the user to edit the contents of the form and then update the
record in MySQL and then display the same in jsp. page
The scenario in detail
1)the data is fetched from db and displayed in non-editable format
2)Next button is clicked
3)Now in the same jsp page I view the same data from db in editable format
4)The user is allowed to change the information
5)Now update button is clicked
6)the records are updated in the db -Finished doing till this step
7)But the updated info in non - editable format to be displayed in jsp page is left pending.
Here is my code for jsp,i want know how to write an action for this,tried doing the same in java and I'm successful.but what I need is how to fetch the updated information in the user interface.
I've made both editable as well as non editable info in the same page with different actions.

u r using action classes. so after calling the insert method in Action Class to a dao... the next statement should be retrieve statement. so at the time of updating first it will get updated.. the next statement it will execute is retrieve and then set these details in VO or FORM and show it on JSP

I suggest you to check this information for more details.
PullAsync() call can either pull all items from the remote table, or just pull a subset of the items. Only pulling some items from the table is often advisable, as stuffing everything from the (potentially large) remote database table into the (restricted by
the device memory) local table may have some bad performance implications. You can pass an OData-formatted query to select which items to pull from the server, or you can also use the (more friendly) Linq expressions to determine the query of items to be pulled.

When a record is being updated by a form, if you create a Pre-Update trigger on the block, the trigger will run for each record being updated.
Same thing happens with a Pre-Insert and Pre-Delete trigger.

How to debug the update FM

Hi,
I am facing a problem with the debugging of the update FM. I have enabled the update debugging and the system says that update debuging is on . even though the control did not go into the FM.
Do i need to check in any other transaction . Please give me the details steps on how to see the what is happening in the update FM.

I have got a clue from SAP help on how to debug the update FM see the below information from SAP
When you debug a program that calls function modules using the IN BACKGROUND TASK addition, they are processed in a background work process (additional internal session). If you set the In background task: Do not process option, the system collects the function calls, but does not start the background work process. The Debugger assigns a transaction ID, which identifies the background work process uniquely. You can now start the Debugger for the background work process using transaction SM58. You can select the function module concerned here, and then execute it via the Edit menu.
I have done everything that is said above , but could not find any entries in SM58
any suggestions

How to know the delay in redo log apply on Active Dataguard 11g...
Do we need to wait till log switch occurs?
Or is it recommended to schedule a log switch every 15 min, no matter data is updated/inserted or not in primary?
Please suggest...

What is the redo transport service you are using? is it LGWR or ARCH ?

So is it lgwr already configured...? if yes then how do i see the delay in both servers..

how to know the select statement perfomence. suppose i have 10 select statements in my program. how will i know which select statement not performance wise poor.

Go to ST04/
Click on Detail Analysis menu button.
Click on the SQL Request button.
In the pup up give <table name> and execute.
Then you will get a list of all the programs that have a select on that table.
Or ST05 transaction t start the trace and run your program .Deactivate the trace in st05 .
and display the trace.

Can anyone please suggest me how to know the forms associated with a specific transaction.
For Example In Finance module.
I came to know from SDN the form associated with F.64 as F140_acc_stat_01.
But i need the steps how to track the form name.

Hi,
1.We cann't find the forms associated with a specific transaction.
2.But,based on requirement we can go for the form selection.
3.Suppose in account payable and receivable , we have different forms like customer statement, Dunning and Chek form etc.
4.The functional people can find the form name in SPRO and give the details of the requirement.
5.If u have the output type or formname u can go for the TNAPR and TTXFP tables and u can search for the respect object.
6.For FI u can directly find in the SPRO, by searching it with the form name.
