Just for Example :-
If you have given the access rights for two Users, who have the privi's to drop the tablespaces...and think you dont have the Option of Alert Log.
what you would do..??
Auditing...??
Tracing.. ??
I think better Option is Trace for Specific Session, which ever he is willing to you.
How does that help in this scenario and otherwise also ? No one is gonna enable trace like this for the users.

How to know when the JComboBox popup is about to show or hide?

In JDK 1.4, a new addPopupMenuListener() was added to the JComboBox component. I found out I have to use JDK 1.3, but I already wrote a lot of code around this particular capability. I am trying to figure out how to duplicate it in JDK 1.3. I need to know BEFORE and AFTER the popup is displayed. OR, is there a way with JDK 1.3 that as soon as they click the combo box, it fires an event. The thing is, as soon as they click it, I want to change the background color. When they are done selecting, I can use an ActionListener or ItemListener to find out what was selected and change the color again. My killer is trying to figure out how to know when they have selected the box. I tried adding MouseListener, PropertyChangeListener, AncestorListener. None are doing a thing when the JComboBox is first selected.
Any help would be much appreciated.

How to know when the PRICE AFTER DISCOUNT changed and get the value

Everything I do to see if a value changed in the grid works except for PRICE AFTER DISCOUNT
which seems to be inaccessible.
Any idea how to know when exactly this value changed and do actions accordinly ?
Also I always get 0.00 if I try to get the value of it

just idea, maybe it will works
Create one udf in row level and set there FS based on changes on price after discount and fill value what is in price after discount. Then the validation make on this field instead of standard SAP field.

Upgrade from CQ5.4 to CQ5.5, how to know when the initial startup is completed?

The documentation at http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/deploying/upgrading.html under "STANDALONE (QUICKSTART) UPGRADE" step 3 says that the upgrade process "might take a few minutes". How do we know when the system has been started successfully? When monitoring the error.log file, it looks like that after a while (~20 minutes) an upgrade of the workflow models is started (even though step 4 says that workflow models will be upgraded after a restart). Might there be any problems with stopping the server to soon?
So, to summarize: how do we know when the server has been started successfully?

In the error.log you would see message like "Finished upgrading". Alternatively you would see 5 completed task in crx explorer at location /var/upgrade/status

In Java, instances of classes are eliminate by garbage collector and programmers have no chance to do it.
I need to do something, when the instance of a class ends its cycle-life .
How do I know when an object is going to be deleted, in order to make some thing bounded to this event?

But if I implement the javaBeans on more than one Dialogs (windows) and the user uses
this dialogs sequentially, then the JavaBean responds to the events always as the caller is the
first dialog that run...
If I delete all listener (on the dialog) when the dialog is close then I have not problems

If you ran the .exe file using the Process class, there is a method called waitFor() which
will cause the current thread to wait for the process to finish

How to know when the voltage is over the X-axis

I want to know if I can know when a voltage or current or any data pass the X-axis?
I have 2 type of data, Current and Voltage, and I want to know which one will cross the X-axis first, can some one help me on that?
Because with that I will know if my system is inductive or capacitive.

Have a look at the code snippet. The code can probably be improved using a For Loop, but this one should give you an idea of how to implement the solution.
I did not know the order of your data, so I called it top & bottom. It will also look for crossing the X-axis at the same time.
If values are increasing instead of decaying, then swap the Less or Equal to Greater than or Equal, and swap the less than to greater than. I think you'll get the picture.

I'm curious to know what time my system lost power, whats a good way to tell? I have been checking the logs to get the last entry times but was curioius if there were other methods of telling when the box's power was interrupted?

If you put a ControllerListener on the Processor that's associated with generating the RTP stream, it'll generate an "EndOfMedia" event when the end of the file is reached.

Can I recover FileVault data when the sparsebundle was deleted on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8?

I have a MacBook Pro that I purchased from a friend of mine. He reformatted it before giving it over to me, and he left me a couple of install files in the Downloads folder before he gave it to me. When I got it, I turned on FileVault because encrypting my data seemed like a good idea. Little did I know that it would end up biting me in the butt.
I tried to add music files from my iPod to the laptop. It didn't work properly, so I deleted those files and tried again. Same issue, and I deleted them again. I noticed, though, that the laptop acted like both copies of those files were still on board, and half my HD was filled up with almost nothing on the computer. I used Disk Inventory to find out why, and found that all that excess data was locked up in a hidden file called a sparsebundle. Disk Inventory removed that file, and then the laptop stopped working. I couldn't get my applications to run properly, and when I restarted the computer, I couldn't log in at all. I rebooted and created a new Admin account so I could get into the laptop.
Now I'm trying to recover all the files that I had put onto the laptop before I had to reboot. They appear to still be there, and I have a copy of the computer in its current state backed up through Time Machine. The programs that were on it before the reboot mostly still worked (exception Firefox, so I'll just reinstall that and hope it works).
Is there any way for me to recover the files that are currently still locked up under FileVault? I have copies of DiskWarrior 4.0 and TechTool Pro 4.6.1, but neither seems to work with OSX 10.6.8. Any help in recovering the "lost" files would be appreciated.
Alternately, if the files cannot be directly recovered: if I have to completely reinstall everything, will having the Time Machine backup of the extra programs my friend had installed let me keep those programs after a reinstallation of OS X?

Why is the old app version is showing even when the app was deleted and downloaded again?

There is an app that I downloaded, which we updated (as we made this app) but when we did, the updates are not showing on the app. I deleted the app and downloaded it again but still the updated version is not showing. I tried downloading the app from another phone and the updated version is showing.
I have tried to research on this and found this link which I found to be most helpful but even after following the steps the old app is still showing on my iphone 4s:

Hopefully an SMC reset may help, if not see an authorized Apple specialist.

Only useful when the data was retrieved into blocks...not during..

Photo attachments in gmail - Can I see when the photo was created?

just a quick query; I received a photo in Gmail earlier and would like to know when the photo was created, if I download it from Gmail and chose 'get info' it states the device used to capture it etc(iphone5) but says it was created at the download point. My question is, is there anyway to find the original date using a third party program?
