How to Link Published Outlook form in an email?

I created a Service Request feedback form in Outlook 2010 and got it published in Organization Forms Librar. Now anyone in the organization can open th form from the regular way of Choose Forms and selecting this form. My requirement is to have a link of
this form inserted in an automated email.
Scenario: This form is going to be used by users in case their service request is not resolved upto their satisfaction level. We use a ticketing tool in which when the user ticket is closed, user gets an automated email stating that their
ticket is closed. We want to have a link to the form in this automated email which should open the form stored in the Organization forms library so that thy can fill their feedback and send the form to a common mailbox. The form is working fine when used
directly. We are not getting a way how to put a link to the form in the email.
Can you please guide how can we have the link to form inserted in email? We tried to Run the option
Outlook.exe /c "IPM.Note.Service Request Feedback Form and this works fine but is there a way to put this above line of code (in bold) in email so that user can click on it and it opens the form directly for them. Hyperlink etc does not
work.

No, you can't as the <a> tag in the HTML specification doesn't account for command like switches.
Another way to go would be to use a web based form on your intranet/extranet which they can fill out and generates an email or database record with the feedback of that user.

    There are only two ways to process form data -
    1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
    2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
    form's data, b)
    process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
    formulate and
    send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
    redirect the visitor
    to some ending page
    Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
    depends both
    on your visitor having an email client already installed on
    their computer -
    this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
    clients
    installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
    email client
    responding to
    the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
    send the
    visitor to a
    thank you page as well.
    Method 2 is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
    problems of method
    1, but it means that you have to grapple with
    server-scripting somehow (ASP,
    CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
    You would have to decide which of these methods is best for
    your needs,
    but if it's Method 2, then start by asking your host what
    they provide for
    form
    processing.

  • Simple Q. how to store/publish acrobat form and "return" as email attachment

    New to acrobat.com and wondering if this can be done (with acrobat.com).
    I have roughly 20 acrobat forms that I want to be accessible on the internet for about 5 specific people to access via the internet. The goal would be for them to click on the acrobat form, fill it out and then "return" it to me as an email attachment. The forms are not complex or long, typically 5 questions to respond to.
    So, I signed up for the free buzz option, uploaded a pdf form and saved it in a shared workspace. I see the file (test.pdf) in the all files section. The downward-pointing triangular arrow next to the file gives me the option of open vs download vs share among other choices. I really just want to open, but when I try that it says"this file is a pdf form. Please download the file and use adobe reader to fill out the form and submit your responses". I then click download it then asks for a location (this will be a problem-source of confusion). I save it to a location but that location already has that file and wants to  overwrite it-another problem. I quickly see that this is the wrong solution for me.
    So, can this be done with acrobat.com or should I be using something like dreamweaver and a personal web site? Thanks in advance.

What you would like to do is most easily achieved using Acrobat desktop software; this is a well-defined workflow, using Acrobat.com to distribute forms and collect responses, and deliver these responses to the Acrobat Tracker, where you can then analyze them and sort the data. If you're on a Windows machine, I recommend downloading a free 30-day trial of Acrobat Pro software, which you can get here:

    (Unfortunately, there is no trial available for Mac at this time.)
    Beyond that, there really isn't a more streamlined way to collect form responses with Acrobat.com; the Acrobat workflow works very well, however, and I encourage you to give it a shot. Here's a video that illustrates how it works:

    I'm using netbean to develop an application, I've a MIDLet with Login Page, I've used setCurrent(list) to display a list when I click "enter". It works fine, but when I want it to display another Form when I click "new" under the list using the same method, it does work. Any solution to this?

    I have a form with a hyperlink to an email address.  I want to have it when the user clicks the hyperlink the form attaches to an email with the address filled out.  I have figured out how to open an email with the email filled out; and how to open an email with the form attached - but not both.  I am not very familiar with JavaScript - but I have to believe there is a way to "Execute a menu item -- File>Attach to email..." AND "open a web link -- Mailto:[email protected]".

    I read the GUI_DOWNLOAD FM documentation, if I am trying to download binary type of file, It is mandatory to pass file size.
    In my case, since I am having PDF file, so i don't no how to get the size of the pdf file.
    As you said, if i use Convert_OTF FM, i don't have data to pass to the OTF and LINES tables.
    I am having values of PDF in xstring format in ls_output1-pdf, which i got using the below FM.
    CALL FUNCTION lv_funcname (FM name)

    But still I am not sure, how the pdf output is coming for single input whereas if i give in a range, its failing. In single input, i am not giving binary file size still the output is coming.. but for range its not. Kindly help me out in this.

  • Getting my report portlet, to link to my form portlet

    I am attempting to put together a portal page that has the
    following components:
    A- Form Portlet with a Pull Down that links to a
    B- Report Portlet built by a SQL Statement that links to a
    C- Form Portlet that acts like a Property Sheet from the Report
    A drives B that drives C, all within the same page, using page
    refreshes, to show the linkage after clicks.
    I have been able to put this together because, I have used the
    explanation found in the Advanced Portal Presentation put
    together by Kenneth Atkins, that can be found at
    http://www.arrowsent.com.
    It provides a really good explanation on how to link portal
    components(forms, reports, etc) using the pdk.
    I have attempted to use what he has put together, and in general,
    it is all working, as he has explained in your ppt, except the
    very last bit. Where B refreshes C
    That is, my pull down form refreshes the report, just fine.
    and then when I click on my "item" in the report, to refresh my
    detail form, it does that, but what it brings, up is the item, I
    clicked on previously. It's like the "C" Component wants to show
    the previously selected item, rather than the current one.
    I am using Portal 3.0.9, on 8.1.7, and this behaviour is
    consistent on both Solaris and Win2000
    I have included the PL/SQL code that is inserted in "Before page
    processing section" of the "C" form.
    My guess is, that I have syntax wrong in either the do_event line
    or I am not setting the rowid for the auto_query to work
    properly.

    Outlook is an e-mail client that's part of Microsoft Office for the PC and Mac. It has nothing to do woth receiving mail on your phone.
    As Meg already suggested, contact your IT department.

    I am not really sure, if I understand you right. But try this:
    Don’t place a picture, but draw a box and use the "Fill" command to put a picture into it.
    (Don’t click onto the color swatch, but onto the blue link "Fill".)
    In this case responsivness should work.
