How to load 1 milloin rows ???
Hi,
I want to load 1 million rows in one of my table through sql loader,is it possible to load??or I have a table named sales in which i have 1 milloin rows how could I write those rows into notepad or any other text editor or even excel??
thanks in advance ...
Hello Alok,
You can load/import from anywhere, thats not a problem.
For making one input file for SQL Loader what you can do is use a editor that can save 1 million rows.
OR
You can make small files using excel or some text-editor, and than at OS level merge these files for example in unix you can do :
cat *.txt > merge.txt
Then you can use merge as input to SQL loader
My question which still remain unanswered.. from which package you want to import?
If it is access than you can export directly to a text/csv file
If you are using oracle, then you can use export, copy command, or db-link!!
Cheers,
Sudhanshu

Please tell any idea to resolve the above problem.
thanks
baluBalu,
try to trace your page to see how your statement can be tuned. To do that add &p_trace=YES to the URL.
This creates a standard Database Trace file which can be analyzed with TKPROF or SQL Developer or similiar tools.

Error loading from csv - how to integrate valid rows and drop invalid?
Hello,
Log from execution (step: load csv data):
ODI-1228: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the target ORACLE connection ODI_STAGE.
Caused By: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-12899: wartość zbyt duża dla kolumny "ODI_STAGE"."C$_0URZADZENIA"."C1_ZWIAZKI" (obecna: 17, maksymalna: 6)
So, it's clear. There are too long fields in csv, maximum is 6, current: 17. But, some rows are good (with ZWIAZKI lenght >=6). I need to load valid rows, integrate them, sent to destination table. Invalid rows should be isolated in external csv - it happens. But how can I integrate valid rows and prevent entire interface fail?I don't think something exists to really be prepared for every situation (invalid length, invalid format, ...).
Here is an idea but it's not beautifull and I'm not sure it's the good way to do that :
-First you should have a unique key (easier if it is on only one column).
-Then Develop an new IKM to insert on a row-by-row insert/commit basis with an ORDER BY clause on the UK in the select. Before the insert step, the value of the UK for the current row should be stored in an ODI variable.
-Create your interface and put a filter on your UK : UK_FIELD > :CURRENT_UK
-Create a package, set CURRENT_UK to a value you know will be less than the possible min and refresh a new variable MAX_UK with a query to find the MAX(UK_FIELD). Then put your interface in the package and do a loop around it so it ends only when CURRENT_UK = MAX_UK. You should redirect both OK and KO arrows from the interface to the testing condition.
@Phil : Sorry for "stealing" your reply :P. Nice to see you agree with me. -
How to load a second array?
I have this code loading a set of thumbnails. Right now the
first set of thumbs loads fine but how to load my second array in a
new row?Well my first idea would be that somewhere you are out of
scope and therefore you are getting an undefined somewhere in your
code.
So it might be trying to pass "undefined" as your url.
I would start with the debugger and step through the code to
make sure that it is able to get all the values it needs at every
step.
A good understanding of the debugger tool will save you tons
of time.
My next idea would be to split the code up using the command
pattern.
Also, since you only have two arrays, you could put an if
statement before incrementing the arr variable.
example:
if (arr < 2){
arr++;

How to display all rows in the report in one page in Oracle APEX 3.2
Friends -
We are using Oracle Applications Express 3.2 on oracle database 10.2.0.5 on solaris environment.
One of our report contains total no of rows 50000. when we ran report by default it is showing 15 and i can go search and change display no of rows to different numbers and click go.
My question is it possible to display all 50000 rows during first time report launching without going to change rows. Is there any option that we can set how many number of rows that we can display during report design.
Please advise
VSHHello VSH,
>> My question is it possible to display all 50000 rows during first time report launching without going to change rows
As vee pointed out it is possible, however the question you need to ask yourself is is it wise?
Bear in mind that displaying 50,000 rows on a single HTML page means a lot of code that must be loaded by the client browser all at once. What it will do to your page loading time? Browser memory? Network bandwidth? Also, do you really believe that it is effective to let an end user look for a specific row among 50,000 rows?
Regards,
Arie.

Can somebody please help me with this?
I would appreciate if somebody can share their code in this regard.
Thank you,
SudhaYou can try this code:
Dim lRetCode As Long

'First row in the @My_Table table
userTable.Code = "A1"
userTable.Name = "A.1"
userTable.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_1stF").Value = "First row value"
userTable.Add()
'Second row in the @My_Table table
userTable.Code = "A2"

? on How to Load Variable Within For Loop
Hello,
I'm a PL/SQL newbee so I apologize up front if this is a basic question. In summary, I'm trying to build a field name within a FOR LOOP and also load this field with it's associated data from an input record and finally load the data to the output record and pipe the row. I can successfully build the field name but don't know how to load it with data from the input record.
Here is a sample from the code.
The input table is shown with the 6 different Fnma codes. Instead of checking each code for data, I want to build the field name, load this field name with data from the input record and move the data to the output record.
CURSOR cur_loan(prod_date_in IN DATE) IS
Select
Ln.Ln_No,
Ln.Prod_Date,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr1_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr2_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr3_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr4_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr5_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr6_Cd,
from LOAN Ln
where PROD_DATE = '16-FEB-11';
Here is the FOR LOOP that successfully builds the field name in l_feat_code_name. Then I "assume" by moving this field to l_output that l_output will contain the actual data, not the field name. However, it appears to contain the field name instead of the data.
FOR l_To IN 1 .. 6
LOOP
l_feat_code_name := ('l_loan_rec.ln_fnma_ftr'||l_to||'_cd');
l_output := l_feat_code_name;
IF (l_output is not null or
l_output <> ' ') THEN
l_out_rec.Inv_Type := l_Fnma_Cd;
l_out_rec.feat_code := l_output;
l_out_rec.Src_Delete_Flag := l_src_delete_flag_n;
PIPE ROW(l_svc_ln_rec);
END IF;
END LOOP;
How can I move the data itself into the l_out_rec.feat_code output record? Thanks in advance.Hi,
l_output is defined as follows:
l_output varchar2(20) ;
I appreciate your example.
Again, after I build l_feat_code_name it contains the column name from the input record, Ln_Fnma_Ftr1_Cd, ....Ftr2...., .....Ftr3..... and so on up to Ftr6. However, I also need the **data value** of Ln_Fnma_Ftr1_Cd, ....Ftr2...., .....Ftr3..... and so on up to Ftr6. My question is how to get the data value. You see below when I move l_feat_code_name to l_output I'm expecting l_output to contain the **data value**. Instead, when I display it in DBMS_output, it shows the column name.
CURSOR cur_loan(prod_date_in IN DATE) IS
Select
Ln.Ln_No,
Ln.Prod_Date,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr1_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr2_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr3_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr4_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr5_Cd,
Ln.Ln_Fnma_Ftr6_Cd,
from LOAN Ln
where PROD_DATE = '16-FEB-11';
Here is the FOR LOOP that successfully builds the field name in l_feat_code_name. Then I "assume" by moving this field to l_output that l_output will contain the actual data, not the field name. However, it appears to contain the field name instead of the data.
FOR l_To IN 1 .. 6
LOOP
l_feat_code_name := ('l_loan_rec.ln_fnma_ftr'||l_to||'_cd');
l_output := l_feat_code_name;
IF (l_output is not null or
l_output ' ') THEN
l_out_rec.Inv_Type := l_Fnma_Cd;
l_out_rec.feat_code := l_output;
l_out_rec.Src_Delete_Flag := l_src_delete_flag_n;
PIPE ROW(l_svc_ln_rec);
END IF;
END LOOP; -
