How to lock a version?

How can i lock a version in Aperture, prevent it from being edited (perhaps by mistake) in the future?

I do not believe that that is possible.
Never have I come across a 'lock version' option in Aperture.
The only work around that I could come up with is to do the edits on your image, then export it at full quality (TIFF for instance), reimport that image into aperture and stack it with the edited version for ease. And then the edits are applied to the TIFF and though you can edit it further you can always get back to that certain edit by removing all adjustments from it.
Oh well, there is another way I just thought of. In the Aperture preferences you can turn on 'Create new versions when making adjustments' feature. that way if you do make any accidental adjustments they will create a new version, and leave the previously edited one untouched, if you prefer the new edited version you can simply remove the older version (your masters wont be affected)

    Hi All, i am using 10.2.0.1.0 version of oracle.
    I have gathered freuency histogram manually on one of my column of a table to provide more information to optimizer for better calculation of cardinality.
    Now i have my weekend job runs for gathering stats on schema level with method_opt as 'For all column size repeat'. But i dont want the stats of above column to be overridden by the stats job. I dont want to lock the statistics of whole table, but i just want to lock the column level stats for this table.
    how the above can be achieved?

    That depends. If the phone was unlocked by the carrier, then it should be fine.
    If your phone was unlocked by unauthorized means, then yes, it will be locked again.

    Hi All,
    We are currently working on SAP 7.0 SP16.
    We have used the KM API to store our documents into the KM repositories.
    The problem we are facing here is related to the version no of the documents created.
    I will explain this with an example :
    I have created a document "test.txt" --> default version no is 1
    I updated the same twice now there are 3 version for this document 1, 2 & 3.
    Now if I delete the version no 1 then there are only 2 document versions remaining in the system, but the Portal still displays them as 2 and 3.
    Now when I want to read the version history of this document I get an IResource object for each version but I am not able to find any means through which I can retrieve the version no of the IResource object which is currently being read.
    Can someone please help me the information regarding how to retrieve the version no from the IResource object returned whenever a document is read using KM API.

    AS rel 2 is 9.0.2, never 9.0.3. But AS suite has many many product components that has different version number strings depending on your installations and your set of installed Patch Sets (e.g. you could have Infrastructure 9.0.2.3.0 and Core RSFs 9.0.1.4.0a)
    OC4J has been released as 9.0.3, next full AS is 9.0.4 (according to Metalink but who knows, maybe it'll be 10.0.1, 10.1.4 or whatever sounds marketingishly good)

    I like to retrieve a file from the FTP server using Apache Commons Net libraries.
    for example if the file size is 20MB. When the file is in the progress of copying or transferring from the FTP server i need to lock the local file which is in our local directory so that no other process will use the same local file which is in the process of copying otherwise partially copied files will be used by another process.
    the file should be locked when it was in the progress of copying from the server. I have an automatic process which will access file objects at certain time and try to process the files.
    I like to know the simplest and easiest way to lock and unlock a file object locally which is trying to copy a file from the FTP server which is of huge size.
    And also i like to know how to lock and unlock a file in general?
