How to maintain default cost center at House Bank Account level for Bank charges

Hello All - We have 4 Bank accounts and all of them are assigned to the same transaction type.
As of now, we have OKB9 set up maintained for Bank charges at Co Cd level and it is posted to the same GL A/c.
Now, My requirement is that I need to have different Cost center maintained for 2 of the 4 House Bank Accounts.
Can you pls let me know if any possibility.

Interesting requirement. This can be achieved through Search String as suggested by Mr. Shanid.
Try to find a text in the note to payee line for bank charges for creating a search string.
For Example. See below note to payee line and assume this line for bank charges.
16,455,130155,0,5/3 BANKCARD SYS  CH,,5/3 BANKCARD SYS  CHARGBACKS.
Identify a text which should always come with this line for every EBS file for bank charges. Assume here "BANKCARD".
Now go to T-code OTPM.
Click on create
Srch strg name:  Bank Charges
Description:     Bank Charges
Search String: BANKCARD ( Based on this text system will search your not to payee line)
Once you press enter, you will get mapping details on the left side with target field "BANKCARD". Now remove the BANKCARD from target field and put there cost center which you will post for one house bank. Save the data.
Now move to second step.
Click on Search String Use.
Put your company code,
House bank(mandatroy in your case).
Interpretation Algorithm( same as you maintained in OT83 for posting rule with external transaction type).
Search String: BANKCARD.
Target Field: Cost Center.
Save.

    Plz check with ur FICO Consultants as master Cost Center r desgined by them
    They will Loop group of Cost Centers to Master Cost Center.
    This concept has started in ECC 6.0 Version

    a. If you want to default a cost center to the transaction then use substitution. Give the default profit center in the cost center. so profit center will also get defaulted.
    b. if you want to default the GL account then configure it in OBYC, then use OKB9 to give the default cost center and profit center.

  • Default cost center not appearing for certain users

    Hi Gurus,
    We are on SRM 4.0 classic scenario.
    For certain users when they create SC in SRM the default cost center is not automatically taken into account even if they change it to it. The default cost center was changed for these users and some of them still refer to the old cost center no. which was maintained for them.
    The users are not defective and the except the cost center all other attributes work fine. I have tested by deleting & recreating new BP no. for the users but it still doesnt help. Please advise.

    I am getting the following error while working on Down payments :
    " CO down payment is active in the controlling area.You must therefore maintain default Cost elemnts and revenue elementsfor down payments.
    Maintain the default cost element for down payments for controlling area in the project system implementation guide.
    PS is not activated.
    How do we resolve the issue.?

    We were able to raise PR then PO previously but something seems to have happened that we are getting this error message.

  • How to restrict the Cost Center Search ?

    Hi everybody,
    Im a little bit worried... In my Org Model, I defined in the CNT user's attribute some Cost Centers. 
    I was thinking that this action would restrict the Cost Centers that the end-user can use. 
    Obviously not.. it seems that it is just a default value, but the user can search and put any cost center.  The same concept applies for the GL account.  =(
    Somebody knows how to really restrict the cost centers that an user can use ?

    Hi Diego,
    For cost centers search help in SRM, there are 2 options:
    1 - You use the backend search help, then backend search help is called directly, and the attributes are not taken into account.
    2 - You do not use the backend search help, then a HTML select option (dropdown list) of codes is shown to the user with all the values entered (one by one) in the user attributes (or herited values, but ranges are not supported).
    The first option is used as soon as the user has the authorization object (authorization object SRM 3.0: M_BBP_SHLP; authorization object SRM 4.0: BBP_FUNCT/value: BE_F4_HELP)
    What I understand, is that you want to use the backend search help, with a limitation upon the user attributes: this can be done using the search help BADI.

    - If I would like to block one cost center which setting in OKB9 as defaul cost center, then change it to other cost center, what is the affect?
    - If cost element in OKB9 is having no cost center as default , then how the transaction from FI flow to Controlling?

    Hi Puri,
    When you give any Cost Center as default object in OKB9 for any Cost Element, that means, whenever there is a posting in FI in that GL, the system will prompt the default Cost Center in that line item. User will still have facility to change that cost center and can enter new cost center.
    If you want to replace a new Cost Center with a old Cost Center in OKB9, you can do that at any point of time. No implications.
    If you do no mention any Cost Center as default object in OKB9 for GL, nothing will happen but the User has to select the Cost Center manually at the time of FI postings.

    I am creating a free text SC...I give the product category and expect that cost center and G/L account will default in the account assignments tab, but they don't and I have to manually plug in these values. I have maintained appropriate SPRO settings where I have linked my product category and G/L account and also marked the default checkbox.

    In SPRO configuration
    "Define G/L Account for Product Category and Account Assignment Category"
    Maintain the configuration like
    Category ID    Source Syst.    AcctAssCat       G/L Account    Default
    0000030         TRXCLNT750    CC                      15190001         x
    Don't forget to maintain Source System and Default fields for this setting.

    I need to fetch the list of cost centers in the cost center group against the cycle.
    Is there any table which will store the list of cost centers against the cycle?
    or else, what I was thinking is use of BAPI BAPI_COSTCENTERGROUP_GETDETAIL, which will give me the list of cost centers,
    but we need to pass the controlling area + cost center grp to fetch the cost centers from BAPI, I have controlling area with me but not the cost center grp name, only I have Cycle info lke cycle name, segment name, seq number. so how to find the cost center grp name from the cycle name?

    How to delete the cost center line item data of particular cost center and only one cost center is exisiting for that company code.
    Is there any way to delete the line items in that cost center.

    if while creating down payment request you have not assigned cost element
    maintain cost elements there.

    Hi,
    As process you should clear the down payment first and then vendor thry F-44.
    It should not be asking you for default cost centre untill there is validation rule set.
