How to maintain sub-operations?

Hi all,
How to maintain sub-operations? I am not able to do it as as soon as I enter the operation data the field for sub-operation disables, kindly let me know what to do?
Regards
MANS

Dear,
Insert the "Main operation number" again at Operation field and give the "new number" for Sub opetaion number at SOp.field in the opreation Overview of CA01.
Steps are as,
1. Create the operation as usual (say 0010)
2. In the next line again give the main operation number & in the Suboperation column i.e. column next to operation i.e. in SOp enter the suboperation no u want i.e. say 0002.
The moment u enter Sub operation no and press enter; system will prompt u to enter time for activities and finally it is created...
U will observe that whenever there is a suboperation; there is no check box under sub operation where as in 0010 you can see that check box (Column before Base Qty). Also u click on that Sub operations and can see the details within it.
Hope it will work for you.

  • Reg.Sub operation

    Hi all,
How to create sub operations in Routing and how to confirm it.Please guide me with detailed Explanation.
    Thanks in Advance,
    M.Badrinarain.

    Hi,
Say for example you have an operation 0040 and you want to perform the operation on 3 machines so you will use sub operations.
    Operation Sub operation work center
    0040
    010 1111
    020 1112
    030 1113
Maintain timings like set up, machine & tare down as per your requirement for every sub operation.
Next do confirmation in TCode: CO11N. Give only timings for sub operations confirmations and give quantities at operation level confirmation.
You are not getting sub operation field in T Code: CO11N, then goto T Code: OPK0.
There select one confirmation Profile consisting of suboperation in Header, then mark that particular as Standard profile. i.e Activate it in main screen of T Code: OPK0.
Then you will get suboperation also in T COde: CO11N

  • PM: how to track the operations in prev.maint order against object list

    Dear PM Guru's.
i have one issue in my preventive maintenance scenario. i clubed the same type of machines in one maintenance order under object list tab. and i mention the list operations in maintenance order. suppose in one preventive maintenance order 10 operations are maintained and 5objects are mentioned in that order. Now i like to mention all these 10 operations activities against to 5 objects. how i can assign sequentially? i required like 10operations one by one row wise and 5objects side by side column wise. i would like to update the each operation activity against each machine column? how i have to do this one?
Please suggest me and help me.
    regards
    Jalendhar Merugu

Using Object functionality, we can maintain many equipments in the order.
But the constraint is that one operation can be assigned to only one equipment. In your case, you have 5 objects. If all 10 operations will be performed on 5 objects, then you have to maintain 50 operations & you should assign the objects.
In other words, if one operation will be performed on 5 objects, then you should define that one operation 5 times & you have to assign to technical objects. You can't share one operation to many equipments.

  • How to maintain my Mac

I'm trying to learn what kind of maintenance do I need to do on my iMac to keep it running good

    How to maintain a Mac
    1. Make redundant backups, keeping at least one off site at all times. One backup is not enough. Don’t back up your backups; make them independent of each other. Don’t rely completely on any single backup method, such as Time Machine. If you get an indication that a backup has failed, don't ignore it.
    2. Keep your software up to date. In the Software Update preference pane, you can configure automatic notifications of updates to OS X and other Mac App Store products. Some third-party applications from other sources have a similar feature, if you don’t mind letting them phone home. Otherwise you have to check yourself on a regular basis. This is especially important for complex software that modifies the operating system, such as device drivers. Before installing any Apple update, you must check that all such modifications that you use are compatible.
    3. Don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” “extenders,” “cleaners,” "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this stuff is useless, or worse than useless.
The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The most extreme example is the “MacKeeper” scam.
As a rule, the only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Use your computer; don't fuss with it.
Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it. Otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
The free anti-malware application ClamXav is not crap, and although it’s not routinely needed, it may be useful in some environments, such as a mixed Mac-Windows enterprise network.
    4. Beware of trojans. A trojan is malicious software (“malware”) that the user is duped into installing voluntarily. Such attacks were rare on the Mac platform until sometime in 2011, but are now increasingly common, and increasingly dangerous.
There is some built-in protection against downloading malware, but you can’t rely on it — the attackers are always at least one day ahead of the defense. You can’t rely on third-party protection either. What you can rely on is common-sense awareness — not paranoia, which only makes you more vulnerable.
Never install software from an untrustworthy or unknown source. If in doubt, do some research. Any website that prompts you to install a “codec” or “plugin” that comes from the same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy. Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must be acquired directly from the developer. No intermediary is acceptable, and don’t trust links unless you know how to parse them. Any file that is automatically downloaded from a web page without your having requested it should go straight into the Trash. A website that claims you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, is rogue.
In OS X 10.7.5 or later, downloaded applications and Installer packages that have not been digitally signed by a developer registered with Apple are blocked from loading by default. The block can be overridden, but think carefully before you do so.
Because of recurring security issues in Java, it’s best to disable it in your web browsers, if it’s installed. Few websites have Java content nowadays, so you won’t be missing much. This action is mandatory if you’re running any version of OS X older than 10.6.8 with the latest Java update. Note: Java has nothing to do with JavaScript, despite the similar names. Don't install Java unless you're sure you need it. Most users don't.
    5. Don't fill up your boot volume. A common mistake is adding more and more large files to your home folder until you start to get warnings that you're out of space, which may be followed in short order by a boot failure. This is more prone to happen on the newer Macs that come with an internal SSD instead of the traditional hard drive. The drive can be very nearly full before you become aware of the problem. While it's not true that you should or must keep any particular percentage of space free, you should monitor your storage consumption and make sure you're not in immediate danger of using it up. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the startup volume for normal operation.
If storage space is running low, use a tool such as the free application OmniDiskSweeper to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the most space. Move rarely-used large files to secondary storage.
    6. Relax, don’t do it. Besides the above, no routine maintenance is necessary or beneficial for the vast majority of users; specifically not “cleaning caches,” “zapping the PRAM,” "resetting the SMC," “rebuilding the directory,” "defragmenting the drive," “running periodic scripts,” “dumping logs,” "deleting temp files," “scanning for viruses,” "purging memory," "checking for bad blocks," or “repairing permissions.” Such measures are either completely pointless or are useful only for solving problems, not for prevention.
The very height of futility is running an expensive third-party application called “Disk Warrior” when nothing is wrong, or even when something is wrong and you have backups, which you must have. Disk Warrior is a data-salvage tool, not a maintenance tool, and you will never need it if your backups are adequate. Don’t waste money on it or anything like it.

    Hai friends,
How to take sub-contracting challana print out.
Where i have to do the message settings for taking return delivery excise document print out ( rejected RM  material return to vendor ).
    Please guide me.

    Hello,
During creation of 57F4 Challan in J1IF01, in Basic Data Tab Page, scroll down the screen, you will get a check box of "Print immediately" just activate it before saving, it will print the Subcontracting challan once you save it.
And to re-print the same go to J1IF11 and activate this indicator again and save.
    Configuration Checks: -
SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Subcontracting Attributes > Check whether Subcon Output Type - J1IF is maintained here.
Also check in M706 - For Output Type - J1IF should be in place.
Note: - There is no need of maintaining condition record for output type J1IF in MN21 and also no need to do any further configuration.
Maintain printer in the SPRO - IMG - MM - Inventory management - Output determination - printer determination.- printer determination by plant / storage location ( OMJ3). Here for the application area ME, condition type J1IF, assign the printer.

  • TIME TICKET CONFIRMATION IS NOT EXICUTING AT SUB OPERATION

    Hi,
We are trying to post Time ticket Confirmation at sub-operation level
through standard web service. Up to Operation level, standard web
service is working fine but problem arises when we do posting at sub-operation
level.Web service is not working for sub operation level.
Please find attached step wise details of the process which we
    are following.

    Dear Sir,
As per your reply I have set the Act. Data in OPK4. Screen areas in OPK0 for Dates were already set open. After doing the OPK4 settings if I am setting execution start and finish time for a phase in COR6N as 10:00:00 and 10:15:00 accordingly in the order for that particular phase in the details screen start and finish time (in the Dates tab) is updating but in the Qty/activities tab the confirmed time is not updating to 0.25 hrs (it is showing 0). Even during COR6N after putting start and finish time in the Dates tab the activity in the u201DTo confirmu201D tab is not updating . When I click actual data in COR6N screen, that activity(time) is picking up the value as per the scheduling through recipe. And only if I manually change that time to 0.25 hr, then it is updating in the Qty/activities tab in details screen of that phase in the order. But I want to select the Execution start and Finish time in Dates tab of COR6N and want the system to update the figure in Activities tab of COR6N as the calculated difference between start and finish and the same updated value should be transferred to the Qty/activities tab of the phase details in the order. Please suggest how to achieve this....

  • Sub operations in routing

    hi sap gurus,
while creatng routing we want to create suboperations for the finished product. pls tell the flow path how to create suboperations with transaction code.
    regards and thaks in advance
    muralidhar.t

All the other steps are similar to creating operation
Once it is created; you can see a "check box" under Sub operation for 0010 (before base quantity)
Also u click on that Sub operations and can see the details within it....
    Hope it clarifies

    Hi Expert,
As we know that confirmation has to be maintaned for each work order confirmation.
Current condition, we also have to maintained confirmation for each work order sub-operation.

    illiustration:
    Operation 0010 Greasing
          Sub operation 0010/0011 cleanning
          Sub operation 0010/0012 inspection
Confirmation conducted for operation 0010 Greasing only, instead of all operation and sub operations

    Leni,
There is nothing in the standard system that would force you to create confirmations at either operation or sub-operation level (unless you have done something in your system)

  • Maintaining sub element Costs for the Service Activity

    Dear Experts & MM Gurus,
Requirement is to maintain the Sub Cost Elements for the activity and to maintain different unit & Rate for the sub cost elements .
    Scenario is explained below.
    1. while making Purchase Requisition for Services
in Services Tab at item level i maintained Service Activity and for that activity i had maintained sub cost elements (Such as cost estimate for the activity) like labour cost, material & consumables cost,Transportation cost with the help of Pricing MS0000.
    2. My Concern is i need to maintain different unit and rate for the sub cost elements ,but system is not allowing to maintain different unit from unit available with activity unit. How can i maintain different unit for the Sub cost (pricing elements like PRSO,PRS1,PRS2) .
EXAMPLE :1. Activity is Laying of Road where unit is AU  and price will be combination of all Sub cost elements .
                      2. Sub Cost Elements like labour cost where unit is man days, system doesnt allow to maintain this unit.
pl comment /suggest on the above scenario.
    Thanks in Advance ,
    Regds,
    Injeti

    Hi
For services, U create activity group in AC03.
U can have upto four levels.
And Model service specifications u maintain in ML10.
Then mainatin service conditions in ML33 / ML 39 based on with or with out plant.
Then create the document, the price will pick it from the conditios u maintained.
    Please check and revert back
