How to make a list of symbols for exports.txt?

I've got quite a sizeable C++ project using several 3rd party libraries (including boost), and it compiles and runs fine in FlasCC when built using -O3 optimization level. To be able to run it when built with -O4, I need to list all external symbols in exports.txt. Is there an efficient way of doing this?
Here's my current, inefficient loop:
Build the target with -O4 and run.
Observe a crash at startup. For example: "ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable C_Run::__ZTISt13runtime_error is not defined."
Copy the missing symbol name, excluding one underscore from the prefix, and paste it to exports.txt.
Goto 1.
Is there a smarter way of getting the list of missing symbols? Also, why do I have to remove one underscore from the symbol name at step 3?

Currently, my compilation isn't using an exports.txt file. With either "-g -O0" or "-emil-llvm -O4", I have no missing-symbol problems at neither compile time nor run time. I'd guess one can conclude that every symbol in my C++ libs is getting exported.
If my understanding is correct, I should be able to create and use an exports.txt file that lists only those entry points in my C++ libs that are called directly by my actionscript(s). I'd expect this might have the benefit of making the final link much faster, and perhaps reduce code size?
Let me know if this is indeed the case, and I'll take a shot at creating the required exports.txt file.
