How to make an exponential x-axis in a waveform-cluster?

I have some data sampled with a signal analyzer. I have the data in 2
arrays, X and Y axis.
The X-axis is frequency, which is exponential, 10 Hz to 30kHz, and the
Y-axis is the actual measured signal level.
Then in Labview I want to check this waveform against limits. So I
have set up with the methods "limit specifications" my limits, and
plan to use "limit testing" for testing my waveform is within certain
limits.
However, now to the problem.
"limit testing" in the frequency domain requires a signal input of the
kind which is a cluser of f0, df and then the actual data, spectrum.
f0 is 10Hz ofcourse
spectrum is my Y-array. No problem so far
BUT, df? what is df if the X-axis is exponential?
Does anyone has any advice for me how to solve this problem or some
clever work around?

VC has the ability to hide axis and the frame and etc. However the values by the side of the axis remains visible. Is there any visibility condition I could use to hide all the values? My end result would be only the line graph, without any figures shown.

VC doesn't support any . But there is a way, i dont know if its acceptable ?
Add a form to the iView and add a PlainText to the form , change the form background to white.
Now switch to layout mode and stretch the PlainText in such a way that it covers the values in horizontal/vertical. Drag the FORM over chart axis and adjust the edges in way that it covers only the axis values.
Hope you can visualize what i described above , even i never tried the above but I guess should help you in hiding the Axis Values

Numbers Charts do not have the option to move the value axis to the right side. You can turn off the display of Value Labels, using the Chart Inspector, and make your own value labels from a text box or small table column and place them to the right of the chart.

The data with respect to bar and graph were only visible when i keep the mouse pointer on it.
i need to set the values visible always.

In pie graph its by default showing the data always.

How can I change the Y-axis (circular) grid spacing, in Polar Plot VI?

When using Polar Plot VI, I need more control over the plotting parameters. This means tweaking the sub-VIs in various ways. What I need to do most is make the polar magnitude axis less busy, i.e. only draw circles every 10 instead of every 5 divisions, when using a range of 0 (outermost) to -80 (innermost).
The magic 'magnitude axis subdivisions' variable seems to be generated in Calc Scale Specs sub-VI, and output as an array of clusters, but I can't quite see how it's created and from what.
Please can anyone help me gain control over the number of magnitude division circles generated?

I think if you go inside the Calc Increment.vi and modify the Increment output terminal it might change what you want to see. Try putting a multiply by 5 or ten into the case structure for when the log is false.

How to make chart scrollable?

Hi everybody,
I want to ask how to make a chart become scrollable (just like a chart with a scroll bar that help us see all content in this chart when this content become to large).
Because my line chart adding series data based on real time, so the content change dynamically. And when the content change, I don't want the axis change its size to fit the chart size, because it make the line chart smaller and narrow.
I have seen in JavaFx Ensemble the example *"Advanced Stock Line Chart Sample"*, it seem like what I looking for. But this chart clear the old data after a period. I want chart to keep the old data and when I want to review, just scroll back

Have you looked at ScrollPane.... http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/api/javafx/scene/control/ScrollPane.html
You can just throw your chart in there. Then if your chart gets bigger then the screens dimensions the ScrollPane will become scrollable.

I can't even find out how to slow clips down in Final Cut Pro X. Once I've done that, how to make them play in SMOOTH slow motion?

a) doing tons of sports-videos for my lil' football kickers, I'm for years desperately in search for the 'ESPN-like' super slowmo - on a shoestring budget, a Phantom-cam is no option
what I noticed with OF in FCPX - it does a wonderful job, under certain circumstances (made a test, click here): this is 60p in a 25p project:
it becomes obvious - rotation is poison (notice the ball in foreground) and too high angle-speed doesn't perform too (compare legs of player in foreground vs. players in background)
recording from a tripod, 'far away' or action straight in axis of cam plus short shutter speed gives good results - and are mostly the ones shown with Twixtor!
Had the priviledge, playing around with it for 20min on a friends Mac (AE as host) - I was completely lost in its zillions of options - I do understand the concept to tell Twixtor 'background' and 'object', but the interface was way beyond my horizon ...

The blue circle should be drawn as last element, using a loop. You just need to calculate the postion of the center. Quite easy if you use polar coordinates, since an ellipse equation is simply
x = a sin Alpha + xoffset
y = b cos Alpha + yoffset
where a and b are the semi-axis of the ellipse.
I have modified your vi accordingly. There is still some tunning to be done on the x and y offset, since the ellipse is not centered on the central circle.

Another way to create this type of chart is to create the pieces in separate charts and then layer them.
You create two stacked bar charts. There are two rows of values in each. The color of the bottom value is set to "no fill" to create the floating bar effect.
The width of the stick bar is changed by setting the gap to the maximum allowable (999%). The "stick" chart is placed behind the other.
For this to work, they need to be the exact same size and with the same axis values. Setting the axis to have fixed values makes this easier. Also, it improves the appearance to limit all the axis labels and lines to be in just one of the charts.

How to make row number in local member dynamic

I have create multiple local member and the formula I the local member is such as
=SUM(row11+row14+row16)
then I add another couple of row before row 11, now the formula should be:
=SUM(row13+row16+row18)
anybody know is there a way how to make the formula in the local member dynamic, which means that if I add rows of drop rows, the formula in local member will automatically change?

Hi Jian,
You can create local my by "Activate Local Member Recognition", but make sure "Use Position in axis" should be unchecked.
Also make sure you have added all required Local members before any insertion of rows.

How to make beautiful intensity graph/chart?

I have one question for plotting the intensity graph using labview. I have ten bins
particle data (as attached, the first row is particle size which is y and the x is time, and the z is the particle concentration). I try to plot a intensity graph, but I got a very ugly picture. I use the property node but still don't get a good one. I want to know if the data is sufficient to make a nice plot and how to make it? Thank you very much.

An intensity graph needs the point regularly spaced (linear or lograrithmic), while your y mapping is nonlinear. This means you need to re-interpolate for a regular xy grid.
Unfortunately, I don't know what you mean by "ugly" can you show us an example and tell us in what way it is ugly.
Here's a quick attempt, remapping the y-axis to 200 equally spaced points. I don't know if you consider this ugly.

I was able copy the hardrive of my old macbook from "My Passport" onto the desktop on an older iMac. but i dont know how to make my hardrive and user name be the main one since someone had used it in the past and had their info on the comp. please help!

I recently broke my 2008 macbook. i was able to use an external hardrive to back up my data onto My Passport. I was going to buy a new computer but a friend told me sher had an older version of the iMac. (not sure how old but it doesnt have a camera if that helps) i was able to hook it up and turn it on but i ran into a few problems. 1) the "authentic" user or whatever it says is someone who previously used the computer. i added me as a user but im not sure how to make me the main user. 2) after hooking up My Passport, i was able to drag my files and copy them to the desktop.(i think i did it correctly) now, i dont know how to make my hard drive and applications and iformation the "main " info. The current apps on the iMac are super old versions of iTunes and iPhoto and such. 3) while trying to open the apps from my macbook on the iMac, it said it didnt have the right software to open these apps.
I am so computer illiterate so someone please help!!! Also, i do not have internet in my new apartment yet so if there is a way to make this happen without using the internet that would be preferred. sorry for the horrible spelling and poorly written paragraph.

You are not going to be able to run your old system from the backup on this old computer as the hardware is incompatible.
You need to get a new computer or a refurbished one.
